Chapter 336: Wil wants to live with his mother?

Name:War Online Author:Snowstar
Scarlet Apartments, Sartor Street;

Scarlet was standing before the apartments while staring at a certain apartment building from the outside.

"Ma'am?" Silver who was escorting her turned around and called out as he realized she stopped walking.

"Do you think he'll see me?" She asked in a worried tone. Unlike her usual demeanor, she appeared quite nervous about this meeting.

The last time, she wanted to meet him, she was abducted two times, no three times if it includes her sneaking into the Viper gang. It caused her son a lot of trouble.

"Sure, Ma'am. Like Lord Philip, Young Master never breaks his promises." Silver assured her that everything will be fine. Even after hearing Wil's resolve, Silver was still adamant about bringing them together. After all, she's the only family Wil has left.

Taking a deep breath, Scarlet followed him to the C-Block. Going into the tenth floor, Silver opened the door with his master key. He let her inside.

As she took a seat in the living room, Silver scurried to the capsule and then, made a call.

Meanwhile, in the virtual world of War Online, the dragon girl, Wil, and Orion were standing before the stone tablet that stated the destination the dragons are searching for.

"Humans of the north, Elves of the east, Angels of the west, and Demons of the south?" Wil wondered what that might mean.

He then remembered Iphi saying that the dragon island is located where North meets south. Are these two riddles connected Or were they stating the same thing?

Just then, Iphi spoke, "I remember something that my father used to read me a bedtime story. Around ten million years ago, there used to be two gigantic continents. The north and the south.

The Calacus Empire was used to be ruled by humans while the Ice continent was used to be inhabited by demons that were sent by the Demon Empress Lilith of the Netherworld.

The power-hungry demons used to invade the northern continent. Back then, Angels who hailed from the Celestial Empire of Heaven acted as the protectors and kept the demons at bay.

After thousands of years, the population of hybrid angels grew and the Emperor allotted a large amount of fertile land in the west as a way of appreciation. The Angels then formed their kingdom.

With Elves forming their own Empire, the next human emperors begin to grow anxious. But, to maintain peace in the continent, they put up with it until one Emperor decided to wage a war against the Elves and reclaim the lands due to the overpopulation of the humans.

Not only the human Emperor fought against the Elves, he even demanded the Angels to return his lands. He outright disrespected them as their servants.

The peace-loving Angels had enough of the greediness of them humans and decided to return to heaven.

Following the Angels' departure, the demons invaded the continent while taking advantage of the war between Humans and Elves.

The Elves retreated to the forests and managed to protect themselves, the humans, on the other hand, had no choice but to bear the brunt of Demons' rampage.

The war went for a hundred years. Angels refused to help and Elves continued to hide in forests.

As the population of humans declined by more than three-fourths, a human Emperor knelt down at the gates of heaven for seven days until the King of Angels finally agreed to help out humans.

Getting the hope of defeating the demons, the Elves also agreed to join the war.

The dragon island is the place where the demon emperor Shedim, the child of Lilith was beheaded by an Archangel named Gadriel."

Orion was intrigued upon listening to the background story. He doesn't know whether this information will be useful or not but just in case, he recorded it.

Meanwhile, Wil was taken aback in surprise to hear those familiar names from Iphi. After all, he was connected to Gadriel and Lilith in enmity. They are someone who he had to cut down in the future.

At the same time, he also felt that the game story is much deeper than he thinks it is.

"Hmm… this riddle and the riddle spoke by the little dragon aren't the same at all. North meets the south. They probably referred to the ancient continents.

Unless I know the pre-history of the game, I won't be able to find the place. Aerona is currently the strongest and the oldest NPC out there. She might have the knowledge. Let's visit her later…"

As he slowly fell into deep thoughts, a notification brought him to reality.

*Ding! You are receiving a call from the outside.

"Silver?" Wil frowned as he saw the name. He had an inkling of what it might be.

"Excuse me…" He walked a few steps away and picked up the call. "Hello…"

"Young Master, your mother is here. She's waiting for you in the living room." Silver said to him.

"What! What is she doing... *Cough* Okay, I'll be there in five minutes." He disconnected the call and then, said to Orion, "Okay, now that I'm done here, it's time I keep my promise and leave the island peacefully."

"Iphi, let's go…"

Looking at the flying Wil and Iphi who was on a cloud, Orion mumbled, "Willard Ravens and Seer occupation, huh!"

He committed Wil's appearance and name to his memory.

As soon as he stepped out of the capsule, he saw his mother was having coffee while she was looking ahead.

Even though it was almost noiseless as he opened the door, Scarlet was able to hear it but still looked ahead.

"Young master." Silver called him out to sneakily inform Scarlet.

As expected, she turned her head and saw Wil who seemed to be staring at her with a frown.

"It's been a while," She awkwardly smiled as she stood up on her feet.

Walking towards her, Wil replied, "When I said I want to meet you, I didn't mean here at my home. But then, again, I guess it is better this way since I don't need to mind whether people are paying attention."

Taking his seat, Wil continued, "Anyway, the reason I wanted to meet you is not to ask what you are doing here? It's a free world. You can stay anywhere you like. Who am I to stop you?

The last time you wanted to meet me, you were abducted by the enemies of my father. That's why, I felt like I owe you one meeting, at least. So, Mrs. Quilton, you can now tell me what you would like to say."

After explaining his reason, he then calmly looked at her.

Scarlet stared at him for a while in silence. Several words are stuck in her throat and aren't coming out.

Finally, she took a deep breath and looked at Silver, "Can you leave us, alone?"

"As you wish, Ma'am," Silver bowed and went outside before closing the door.

Wil calmly waited to hear what she has to say.

"I know that my words probably will not change anything but I really regret not taking you with me, back then. I have to apologize for a lot of things.

Sorry for not being with you when you grow up.

Sorry for not being with you when you feel lonely.

Sorry for not being with you whenever you face difficult situations.

Sorry for not being with you when you even lost your father.

If saying sorry can make you forgive me, I will say it a million times if I have to but I know that it will change nothing. So, don't forgive me. But, just give me a chance to amend my past mistakes."

When a person sincerely apologizes, even a stone-hearted person might melt much less a person like Wil who was soft at heart.

Looking at her, Wil felt the urge to hug her and cry but then, he reminded himself of his earlier resolve and calmed down. 'Get yourself together, Wil. No matter what, you cannot forgive this woman at all costs.'

Thinking of a plan, Wil opened his mouth, "Fine, then. I'll give you a chance. I want you to acknowledge me as your son to your family. Today is August 24th. I'll live with your family until 30th of the next month. Do whatever you plan to do.

On the 1st of October, if my heart is changed, I'll acknowledge you as my mother. However, if nothing changed, then, promise me that you won't bother me in the future…"

While Scarlet's eyes widened in surprise, Wil looked into her eyes, "Wil you accept my condition?"
