Chapter 119 - Li Ling And His Promise

"This is a dumb movie, isn't it?' Li Ling sighed as he noticed Zhihao's facial expressions that were hardly visible due to the darkness of the theater. 

Zhihao immediately shook his head as he denied Li Ling's statement, "I wouldn't say dumb. It is a bit shocking to know that you still like to watch such stuff." 

"Hey! What do you mean?! No one said that this movie is only for kids!" 

Zhihao chuckled as he heard this, "Movie for twelve and younger, it was written at the start of the movie, did you not read?" 

"..." It was the first time Li Ling heard such a thing. He had heard about adult-rated age warnings before a movie, but it was the first time he came to know that they did the same for kids. 

Who the hell put that 'for kids' warning?! Were they looking to get sued by Li Ling?!

Zhihao broke out laughing as he looked at Li Ling's odd expressions.. The man looked so embarrassed that Zhihao could feel the second-hand embarrassment for him. 

"It's okay. This is a great movie," Zhihao spoke as if trying to make Li Ling feel better, "It teaches you a lot of good things." 

"You want to laugh at me, don't you?" Li Ling asked with an unamused expression. 

Zhihao snickered, "I can't help it," He broke out into a fit of laughter, "A talking dino that does good? Hahaha... Who made such a plot?" 

When Li Ling heard him say it like that, he couldn't help but feel that the man was right. This plot really was a bit... Questionable. 

There was a reason why Li Ling had chosen this movie, but there was no way he was going to tell Zhihao the reason.

When they were kids, Zhihao had once promised to take Li Ling out to watch movies, but he had never kept his promise and it seemed that he had forgotten all about it while Li Ling was still haunted by the fact that the promise wasn't kept. He wanted to complete the promise so when he looked at the kid's movie that was being screened, he felt the urge to drag Zhihao here and make him complete the promise he had never kept or remembered. 

This was just one of the unkept promises that young Zhihao had made to Li Ling and he wanted to see all of them being kept one by one so he decided to make this one the first promise that was going to be completed. 

"Let's just watch it and get out." Li Ling spoke up, "We'll never say anything about this movie again, okay?" 

Zhihao looked at the man and snickered, "I'm not judging you, I promise." 

"You are clearly judging me. I can feel it in your eyes." 

"What about my eyes?" Zhihao leaned in as he asked. 

Li Ling seemed to have turned his head at the perfect timing. Their faces inches apart, their breath mingling with each other and their eyes not daring to look away from the other's beautiful eyes. It wasn't the first time they were this close to each other. Zhihao had been this close with Li Ling in the game, but it was his first time outside the game and the same went for Li Ling. 

The movie that was still playing on the screen turned into background noise that was ignored as their eyes interlocked, not daring to look away. 

"Have I ever told you?" Zhihao asked as his eyes trailed down to the man's beauty spot that was under his right eye, "You have really pretty eyes." 

Li Ling gulped as he looked back at Zhihao's face. 

Zhihao's hand stretched out to touch the beauty spot as he spoke, "It looks kinda unreal. Has a mysterious, alluring vibe to it." 

Li Ling blinked a few times as he wondered if he was dreaming or not. 

It seemed that this Zhihao looked a lot more drunk than the Zhihao that was actually drunk. This was trouble for Li Ling who had a really hard time trying to control himself!

Li Ling suddenly closed his eyes and calmed his heart before opening them again to look back at the man as he smirked, "You look like you're trying to seduce me." 

Zhihao chuckled as he heard this, "Are you seduced?"

Li Ling thought that Zhihao would move away when he heard this. How was he to know that Zhihao would tease him back? Since when had Zhihao learned to counter-attack like this?!

Li Ling licked his lips unconsciously as he tried his best to keep his focus on the man's eyes instead of letting it trail down to his lips. 

"What if I say I am?" Li Ling no longer knew what he was saying. All he could think about was the way Zhihao was looking at his beauty spot as if it was the most fascinating thing in the world. 

"Have you ever kissed a man?" Zhihao asked as if he were put under a spell.

Li Ling smiled mischievously, "What do you think?" 

Zhihao suddenly remembered a small part of the conversation he had with that black-masked man. The man had told him to try his shot. What happens next wasn't important. If he would never try, he would never know. 

"Want me to kiss you?" 

Li Ling was silent as he heard this. It wasn't because he didn't want to, it was simply because he was too shocked and a bit turned on as he heard this. 

Zhihao sighed as he moved back, "Forget it. I was just kidding." 

What the hell was he doing? 

He would probably scare Li Ling away like this! Why was he suddenly listening to what that black-masked man told him? That man disappeared without a trace and whatever he said was nothing more than a drunk man spouting nonsense. The real madman was Zhihao who thought that the man's drunken blabbering made sense. 

Li Ling suddenly stopped Zhihao from moving as he pulled him closer with his hand gripped around Zhihao's wrist. 

Zhihao looked at the man with a bit of shock and confusion. 

"I want to..." 

"???" It took a whole minute for Zhihao's brain to finally process what the man had said and when he realized what he was saying, he was left even more shocked. 

"I want to try it. You were the one who proposed the idea, you should take responsibility." 

Zhihao was left stunned as he heard this and he had no idea how he was supposed to react, but it seemed like the man wasn't waiting to get a response from Zhihao. 

Li Ling's hand slid around Zhihao's neck as he pulled him closer and the gap between them was instantly filled. This kiss was nothing like their kiss inside the game. 

That time, Zhihao could only imagine how Li Ling's lips felt against his own, but this time, he could clearly feel everything without having to imagine it and it was nothing like what he had imagined. He seemed to have really underestimated the feeling.

Li Ling's lips were moist and felt a lot softer than he had imagined. Zhihao felt the heat surging through his entire body as he closed his eyes and let himself get lost in this sensation. 

Li Ling saw Zhihao close his eyes and his lips slightly curled up into a smile as he kissed the man. He followed the man and closed his eyes as well. 

Zhihao had only just realized: This was his first kiss. 

In the 24 years of his life, he had never kissed someone like this and he didn't regret it being his first. He was somehow glad that Li Ling was his first kiss, both in-game and outside it.

Li Ling turned his head and deepened the kiss, which made Zhihao feel a lot of feelings he couldn't even decipher. He felt hot and his heart was racing. He felt his body pulsating as if he had just run a marathon, but he wasn't tired at all. He was suddenly so energetic that he felt like his energy levels could reach the sky. He felt like he could really run another marathon after this. 

Maybe this was the only moment when Zhihao didn't think about the after-effects. He wasn't worried about what would happen after this. All he cared about was this moment that he seemed to enjoy very much. In the end, he learned that he couldn't compare how it felt to kiss a guy or a girl since he never really kissed a girl, but he would still be able to say that the feeling wasn't any different. If you asked him who he preferred to kiss more, Zhihao would be able to answer, but he won't choose either of the two options. In his head, he felt that it wasn't because Li Ling was a man or a woman, it was simply because he was Li Ling.

He was Li Ling and that was why Zhihao liked this feeling so much. 

At this moment, Zhihao suddenly had a thought: I'm in trouble. 

He was in big trouble. 

He couldn't deny it anymore.

He couldn't fool himself anymore.

He had finally done it and there was no going back from this.
