Chapter 176 - Li Ling Is Angry As Hell

"Ah... W-wait!" Zhihao cried out as he came back from the shock and ran after Li Ling, but before he could even grab the man's shoulder, Li Ling glared back and made Zhihao gulp in fear at the icy glare. 

"Stand back or fight properly!" Li Ling gritted out, "Don't get yourself in trouble." 

Zhihao had never liked it when somebody controlled him or ordered him to do something, but at this moment, Zhihao dare not dislike it. 

He reluctantly nodded his head as he responded, "I'll... Fight properly."   

Li Ling didn't bother saying or looking at Zhihao as he fully turned his back on the man and continued to walk away.. 

With the help of the Imbis and Zhihao's suicidal plan, they were able to defeat the earthworm Ribix, however, the war was still not over. 

This was the mere start of it. 

Once the giant creature was defeated, more Ribix flocked to the scene and the true war started. 

Zhihao felt a shiver run down his spine as he saw all the Ribix creatures running, crawling, and flying towards them in uncountable numbers. 

Huge groups that looked to be viciously glaring at them with all their fangs and teeth on display as they growled and hissed. 

Zhihao looked down at himself to see that his body was no longer hurting. It seemed that the glitch that was caused by 'Master of survival' had not only saved him from dying but it had also healed his body completely. 

He still felt a bit weak, but at least there were no injuries that he would have to worry about. 

He immediately transformed his suit and his left hand changed into an air gun while his right hand changed into a flame-throwing gun. 

He activated his shoes and slowly started to hover above the ground. He had almost gotten used to this feeling of skating on air so when he 'flew' once again, he could control his speed and direction more steadily. 

He ordered his 3X Ribot army to attack the Ribix army that was heading for them. 

He could clearly see that the number of Ribot's he now controlled had lessened because of the earthworm, however, there was still a good amount of Ribots left behind and for Zhihao, it was enough to defeat this army of Ribix that was heading for them. 

He was confident that he could defeat most of them by himself. 

The biggest problem which was the giant earthworm Ribix, had already been solved so Zhihao was a bit more confident to destroy the rest of the Ribix army. 

He flew all the way over to the other side to face the Ribix directly and the first Ribix creature that sprang at him was a lion that was rather huge in size, almost the same size as 4 or 5 humans. 

Zhihao smirked as he didn't falter in his attack. He immediately aimed his right-hand fire gun at the lion ribix and shot without any sense of hesitation. 

The Ribix was a bit thrown off as it felt the heat burning its face, however, it was not enough for the creature to retreat. 

Right when it closed its mouth on Zhihao, all it could bite into was empty air as Zhihao seemed to have disappeared from sight. 

The Ribix was visibly confused as it looked around to find Zhihao but Zhihao who had equipped the moon goddess spellbook at the right moment suddenly popped up behind the creature. 

Before the Ribix could even realize that its enemy had tricked it, the creature was shot with an air gun to its butt. 

Zhihao couldn't help but chuckle as he saw the creature immediately flinching and jumping like a cat. 

The Lion turned back to look at whatever had attacked it, but all it was met with was a heavy punch to the face. Zhihao transformed his handgun into a hand for just a few seconds before changing them back to a gun and aiming it at other Ribix. 

When Zhihao saw that the moon goddess spellbook could help him so much at this moment, he kept it by his side just in case of an emergency and whenever a Ribix attacked him and he was almost caught in the attack, he would simply activate the moon goddess spellbook and save himself for a few seconds before popping up a few feet away and taking the Ribix by surprise. 

The Ribix reacted just like any other animal would. It was smart, but not smart enough and hence within a few minutes, Zhihao had already defeated more than twenty Ribix, all different kinds of Ribix. 

Wang GuiYing, who glanced at him for not more than a few seconds suddenly chuckled as he cried out excitedly, "Mastermo is back in the game!" 

Zhihao pursed his lips as he heard this comment and mentally thought: I was always in the game, you idiot. 

For the first time in forever, Wang GuiYing was also working hard. He was trying his best to fight against the army and he didn't look any less amazing than Mastermo.

If the two were to be compared, it could be clearly seen that they were almost at the same level. 

It was still a wonder how Mastermo was still at the top of the leader board while Wang GuiYing was somewhere down on it. Maybe this was the result of Wang GuiYing's laziness and unbothered personality that never wanted to put in the effort or go through the trouble. 

Zhou Xinyi was also working pretty hard as he crushed everything that came his way. He had the advantage of having a big Ribot body and hence, he didn't need to do any fancy moves or use strategies to defeat the Ribix. All he needed to do was slam them and crush them under the weight of his heavy metal body. 

With everyone fighting alongside their Ribot army, it was only natural that it looked as if they had the upper hand, however, this was not the case. 

Some of the Ribots had been easily defeated by the Ribix because their body had been too old and weak or broken prior to this. Hence their Ribot army was also decreasing in numbers. 

At first glance, it looked as if they could hold back the Ribix army, but to defeat them completely was still nothing more than a hopeful case. 

It need not even be said that Li Ling was also fighting fiercely. The anger he held towards Zhihao was displaced onto the Ribix army that attacked him and in just a few seconds, he defeated more than ten Ribix with his hostile attacks that didn't seem to be playing around. 

He was attacking to kill them and hence it came as no shock that he was able to kill them with a single blow and sometimes if the Ribix was stubborn enough to live through his first attack, it would certainly be murdered in a more ruthless manner with the second attack. 

Leyah, who was fighting alongside them with her army of white mecha-suited soldiers was also not doing much of a bad job. She was amazing and strong in her own way, however, compared to the others, she was still not able to fight and kill like them. 

She seemed to look a bit more merciful with her attacks and this only got more of her soldiers hurt and killed in the process. 

In a war, mercy was the last feeling that you were supposed to have. 

Sympathy, pity, and mercy were all feelings that would never belong to a battlefield and these were the exact feelings that seemed to be holding her back. 

Surprisingly, a few minutes after the war had started, in the midst of the chaos, they could clearly hear a girl screaming at the top of her lungs and nobody needed to even look in order to guess who was the owner of such a high-pitched scream. 

Who else could it be but Rei, or rather, Laura, who was forced to join the war with them. 

It seemed that her surgery had gone smoothly and she had only recently recovered from all her injuries when she was suddenly attacked by all the Ribix that were attracted to her because of the Ribot gemstone and managed to creep into Utopia in search of her. 

"Captain Liv! I really hate you!!" She shrieked on top of her lungs as she took a weapon and slammed it onto everything that came her way. 

She had really gone crazy or maybe she was just crazy, to begin with, cause the Ribix wasn't the only thing she was attacking. 

She was attacking 'everything' she could see. 

Not only the Ribix but also the Ribots and the white-mecha suited soldiers. 

She had no control over her own attacks as she slammed her weapon onto anything that came a few feet near her. 

Leyah who saw this couldn't help but cry out with a frown, "Are you f*cking crazy?!" 

"You!! Better shut your mouth!!" Laura shouted back with unhidden hostility as she added, "If you survive this war, you're first on my killing list!"

Leyah pursed her lips as she concluded that it was stupid of her to even ask that question. 

Laura had clearly lost her mind a long time ago.
