Chapter 177 - Li Ling Uses The Imbis

With nothing stopping her, Laura was probably the one with the most kills in the least amount of time, however, the kills counted included both Ribix and Ribots. 

The only ones that she didn't attack were perhaps her own army that entered the battle with her. 

She brought out her secret powerful weapon and an army filled with soldiers that wielded this same weapon that was specially made to defeat Ribix. 

With just a single attack, the weapon was able to directly take the life of the Ribix without fail. 

This was her secret backup plan that she had hidden and was meant to be used after the war was over. The purpose of this special army was to kill off all the survivors that had fought the war, but unfortunately, Laura's plans were crushed when Captain Liv somehow saw through her plan and forced her to bring out her secret card. 

However, she couldn't even do anything against Captain Liv. She was completely caught up in the war and had no time to search for Captain Liv in order to take her revenge, but of course, this didn't mean that she had forgotten or forgiven Captain Liv for tricking her.

Since she now had a Ribot gemstone implanted in her body, the Ribix saw her as a sweet candy and attacked her with no hesitation.. 

Laura was ruthless as she cut them, crushed them, and shot them. 

Leyah couldn't help but look at Laura one last time as she questioned, "What about Utopia? Is it... Are the people safe?" 

She was a bit reluctant to hear the answer to that question, however, since she had already asked the question, she would naturally have to listen to the answer as well. 

Laura didn't bother looking at her as she shouted back, "Utopia is safe for now!" She scoffed as she added, "The main gate was sealed." 

Leyah was a bit surprised to hear this since the only one who could seal off the main gate was Laura and she was also the one who wanted to kill off half the population of Utopia hence for her to save them was something shocking for Leyah. 

Li Ling who had somehow managed to hear this couldn't help but smirk proudly, not letting it affect his fight with the Ribix. 

Wang GuiYing looked at the screaming girl who had joined the fight and started killing everything. He frowned as he cried out, "Who the hell are you?!" 

Although he had never seen her before, he was still somehow against her. He didn't like her at all. 

If she had just killed the Ribix that was attacking them, maybe he wouldn't have been so annoyed by her, but she just had to kill all the Ribots as well. Among the Ribots she killed, XY Ribots were also included, and since they were all solely controlled by Zhou Xinyi, Wang GuiYing was annoyed at this lunatic.   

Laura seemed to have heard him, however, she didn't bother responding as she acted as if he didn't even exist. 

If there was one thing Wang GuiYing completely hated, it was probably being ignored. 

He stopped fighting the Ribix and headed for Laura instead and without even seeing who it was, she directly attacked him, however, her weapon was caught by Wang GuiYing who single-handedly snatched the weapon away and punched her with the other hand. 

"If you want to play around, go home! Don't come here and display your psychotic tendencies! You better not kill his Ribots again!" Wang Guiying warned as he glared at her. 

Laura was taken back and a bit scared as she gulped. 

The 'his' in the warning was referring to Zhou Xinyi who was doing nothing to stop Laura from killing his XY Ribots because he simply thought that she was supposed to be on their side. 

Leyah who saw the whole scene couldn't help but feel satisfied as she cheered on for Wang GuiYing, "She deserved that! Kick her too!" 

Laura instantly sent a glare her way, but it was not enough to wipe off the smirk on Leyah's face. 

Wang GuiYing confiscated her weapon and turned around as he warned out one last time, "If you kill even one of the XY Ribots, I wouldn't be so kind next time." 

All Laura could do was grit her teeth and spit out blood in anger. 

She had no weapon, however, when a Ribix attacked her, one of her special soldiers moved forward to protect her. 

Laura immediately climbed back up to her feet and snatched the special soldier's weapon before kicking him away as she once again joined the fight, and continued to kill everything that came her way, however, this time, she was careful not to attack any XY Ribots. 

Wang GuiYing used the method of threatening and it was quite effective on her who feared what the man would do to her next if she hurt one more of those gigantic Ribots. 

Leyah couldn't help but chuckle as she noticed this. She immediately turned her head towards Wang GuiYing and exclaimed, "I like you! You're awesome!" 

Wang GuiYing didn't even bother turning his head towards her as he smirked proudly and muttered, "Of course, you do. I'm BBtrash! I collect hearts like people collect pokemon cards." 

Thankfully Leyah didn't hear this, cause if she did, she would have certainly taken back her words. 

Wang GuiYing once again joined Zhou Xinyi's side and smiled happily as he showed off his newly snatched weapon, "This thing is quite useful!" 

Zhou Xinyi turned his head to look at Wang GuiYing and nodded as if agreeing with the man. 

Although Zhou Xinyi had the head of an emotionless XY Ribot, Wang GuiYing could somehow sense that the man was probably smiling at this moment. 

At this exact moment, Li Ling got his leg bitten into by an Aligator ribix. He pursed his lips as he took out an Imbis and threw it at the Ribix before crying out for Zhihao, "Captain Burn!" 

Zhihao immediately turned his head and reacted. It didn't take him any more than a few seconds to see the situation and understand what Li Ling wanted him to do. 

He activated his Moon goddess spellbook and sucked Li Ling inside it.

Li Ling controlled the explosion to affect every Ribix that was within a kilometer of its range. Since the explosion was controlled carefully, all the Ribots and humans were safe from the explosion that blew up all the Ribix. 

The Imbis was said to have an explosion that could be controlled to be as small or as large as possible with not many restrictions, however, this was false. There were some things that only the owner or the one who studied this explosive would know. 

The explosion could be controlled, but if the Imbis was near the owner, the owner would not be able to avoid it no matter what. The other restriction was, of course, the area that could be covered by the explosion. 

If the owner could see it even slightly, the area would be within the range of the attack, however, if the owner of Imbis planned on aiming for an area that he/she couldn't see, the explosion would naturally not work as planned. 

If they were in a plain field and could see far away, they could make the Imbis blow everything away, however, if the area was not within their line of sight, the explosion would not affect it. 

Li Ling's line of sight could stretch out as far as a kilometer or less, hence all the Ribix that were outside of that range were naturally not affected by the explosion. 

As soon as the explosion was over, the dust and smoke filled the air, partially blocking out everyone's sight. 

Zhihao deactivated the moon goddess spellbook once again and Li Ling was immediately thrown out of it. 

He coughed twice as he landed on the floor, his feet hitting the ground and making more dust rise up. 

"Thank you," He muttered to Zhihao who smiled in turn. 

"It's my job to protect you," Zhihao used this chance to slip in another cheesy line that made Li Ling frown and at the same time, it also made his heart feel warm. 

Li Ling was still mad at him so all he did was shrug his shoulder and walk away as he heard this. 

Zhihao didn't seem to mind it too much as he smiled and said nothing more. Well... It was his fault for being so reckless and almost getting himself killed. 

Wang GuiYing frowned as he looked ahead and spoke up, "It's not over yet!" 

Even though all the Ribix near them were turned into nothing more than leftover shards of metal and bluish green grease, the war was yet to be over. 

The second wave of Ribix also arrived and this time, Li Ling warned everyone beforehand, "I have no more Imbis left!" 

He heard Wang GuiYing curse as he heard this and Zhihao only chuckled as he responded, "That's okay. It's not like we're that useless." 

Li Ling couldn't help but smirk softly as he heard this, "So Mastermo is pretty confident now that you outlived that grinder?" 

He was clearly taunting him, but Zhihao still smiled as he heard this, "I'm confident because I have to protect my boyfriend who's mad at me." 

"..."
