Chapter 196 - Li Ling Also Has A Girlfriend?!

"Now, don't start fighting, you two," Huang Zhi Juan stepped in between the two girls, "Xifeng dear, we have already wasted a lot of time. Why don't we go down now?" 

Tian Xifeng nodded her head with a smile as she heard this, "Okay, auntie~" 

The woman standing behind the counter immediately walked up to Tian Xifeng and greeted her, "Welcome, ma'am!" 

Tian Xifeng smiled politely as she heard the woman's kind greeting, "We would like to order table no. 13." 

The woman nodded her head enthusiastically as she responded, "Follow me." 

She gestured for them to follow her and everyone nodded as they waited for the woman to show them the way to table no. 13. 

While walking, Tian Xifeng smiled brightly as she hooked her hand around Huang Zhi Juan's arm, "Auntie, it's been so long since I've seen Gege. How is he?" 

Huang Zhi Juan squinted at the woman and smiled rather mischievously, "Xifeng, A-Zhi is doing good.. Do you remember that time you volunteered to be his wife if he can't find one?" 

Tian Xifeng chuckled as she nodded her head, "Gege is pretty rich. Of course, it would be my greatest luck to get married to him!~" 

"Well, you don't need to," Huang Zhi Juan beamed and it looked like the smile on Tian Xifeng's lips faltered for just a mere second. 

"No way..." Tian Xifeng muttered in disbelief as she looked at the woman in shock, "Zhihao has a girlfriend?!" 

Huang Zhi Juan shook her head as she heard such a ridiculous thing, "He has a boyfriend, not a girlfriend." 

"What?!" Tian Xifeng's amused smile fell down immediately, "Auntie, what do you mean? Zhihao was gay?!" 

Huang Zhi Juan frowned as she looked at the woman with a bit of suspicion, "Are you unhappy for my son?" 

Tian Xifeng gulped as she shook her head, "It's just a bit... Hard to believe." 

Huang Zhi Juan chuckled as she asked, "Were you planning the marriage destination already because you thought A-Zhi wouldn't find anyone?" 

Tian Xifeng nodded her head without any sense of embarrassment as she confessed, "I even got the wedding dress ready." 

"..." Huang Zhi Juan suddenly didn't know if she wanted to laugh or cry as she heard that, "Wha~ I suddenly feel a bit bad for you." 

Li Ying, who was silently following after them chuckled mockingly as she commented, "Why would auntie feel bad for her? She probably has a lot more suitors waiting in line to see her in that wedding dress." 

Tian Xifeng chuckled as she heard this, "You're right, Yingying. It is a pity that Zhihao got away from me but I can probably find a lot more." She exaggeratedly sighed as she tried to convey her sadness, "But nobody would be able to replace Zhihao. Our Auntie and Uncle Huang are too rich~" 

Li Ying clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes in annoyance as she heard this, "Richlord, your name certainly doesn't sound like you're a golddigger but the more I hear you bark, the more you make me think of you as one." 

Tian Xifeng chuckled in amusement as she heard this, "Does that mean I have a good name? Well, thank you." 

"..." Li Ying squinted at the woman as she added, "The fact that you're not even denying it makes me really believe that you're a golddigger." 

Tian Xifeng stopped and turned around to face Li Ying, "Yingying, you must marry a rich man when you grow up. Only then would you able to live happily without worrying about trivial things in life." 

Li Ying frowned and her face clearly stated that she didn't agree with the woman's ideology. 

Huang Zhi Juan sighed as she announced, "We're here. Try to look a little serious, would you?"

Tian Xifeng smirked as she rubbed Li Ying's head and turned to face Huang Zhi Juan with a wide smile, "Auntie, I'm always serious when it comes to work. You just caught me by surprise when you told me the news about Zhihao." 

Li Ying scoffed as she stepped forward and purposefully bumped against the woman's shoulder, "Richlord, you better not say anything about Zhihao in front of my brother." 

Tian Xifeng furrowed her eyebrows in confusion as she asked, "Why?" 

Li Ying smiled as she reached her hand forward and patted the woman's head. Tian Xifeng was clearly taller and older than her and so, Li Ying had to reach her hand up to pat the woman's head and she barely had enough height to reach Tian Xifeng's head.

"Just don't say anything about your marriage with Zhihao or you might not make it alive out of here." Li Ying warned with a mischievous smile plastered on her face. 

Huang Zhi Juan couldn't help but chuckle as she heard this. 

"Auntie, what's she talking about?" Tian Xifeng asked with a frown. 

Huang Zhi Juan shook her head as she replied, "She's just trying to scare you. Don't listen to her." 

Tian Xifeng pouted but said nothing more. 

The woman who was leading them to table no. 13, led them to a wall and started to push the wall in. 

At first, pushing a wall looked to be futile but after a minute, the wall shuddered and moved back, opening up an elevator door for them. 

Huang Zhi Juan got inside the elevator first and was followed by Tian Xifeng, Li Ying, and Liang Feng. 

The woman who worked at the cafe stayed behind and bowed as she greeted, "Have a great day!" 

Huang Zhi Juan smiled politely as she heard this, "You too. Have a great day." 

The elevator door closed and the wall went back to its original position as the elevator started moving and went down. 

In just a few minutes, they had already reached their intended destination and the elevator door opened up again. 

What greeted them was a research facility that looked to be both secretive and highly advanced. 

There were a lot of people walking around in white coats and nobody seemed to pay attention to the four people that had just entered. 

"Everyone looks pretty busy," Liang Feng commented as he looked at the researchers walking around with their eyes glued to the files clutched tightly in their hands. If there was a pole in front of them, he was sure that they would walk right into the pole without realizing it. 

Li Ying walked forward and started to lead the group as she responded, "Everyone is busy studying Alvi." 

Huang Zhi Juan frowned as she looked over the balcony at the huge brain that was kept at the center of the place, "Alvi looks normal to me." 

Li Ying chuckled, "That's what everyone thinks." 

Huang Zhi Juan shrugged her shoulders as she kept walking without any further conversation. 

They walked down a flight of stairs and were immediately greeted by Li Ling who came rushing over, "Why the hell did you guys take so long to come?!" 

Huang Zhi Juan was the first who ran up to the man and engulfed him in a hug, "Li Ling, son, I was waiting for you at Zhihao's house. I brought so many wedding gifts for you!~" 

Li Ling hugged the woman back and looked to be confused as he mumbled, "Wedding gifts? Are you getting married again, Madam Huang?" 

Huang Zhi Juan chuckled as she separated from the hug, "I wish~" 

"..." 

"I brought gifts for you and Zhihao," Huang Zhi Juan exclaimed in delight. 

"Oh," Li Ling scratched the back of his neck and looked to be a little embarrassed, "So you found out about that...?" 

Huang Zhi Juan smacked his arm as she questioned, "Did you two think you could hide it from me? I'm the one who gave my blessings, are you forgetting that?" 

Li Ling chuckled as he shook his head, "How can I forget that? You're really kind and awesome, Madam Huang." 

Huang Zhi Juan looked to be proud of herself as she heard this. 

"Wedding... Gifts...??" It was Tian Xifeng who muttered in disbelief and shock.

Li Ying couldn't help but laugh as she saw the woman's confused and shocked expression, "I told you, didn't I?" 

"Wait a second!" Tian Xifeng stepped forward and exclaimed loudly, "Gege, what do you mean? Why are you all acting so suspicious? Did you get a girlfriend too?!" 

Li Ling looked at the woman and tilted his head as he questioned, "You don't know?" 

"Know what?" Tian Xifeng gulped as she somewhat guessed what the situation could be. 

Huang Zhi Juan smiled brightly as she gestured at Li Ling and explained the situation to Tian Xifeng, "Xifeng dear, this is my son-in-law." 

Tian Xifeng felt her knees go weak as she heard this and Li Ying helped her stand up straight. 

"Richlord, don't faint on us." Li Ying seemed to be mocking the woman. 

Tian Xifeng gulped as she muttered, "I can't believe it. Both my rich future husbands are taken...?" 

Li Ying chuckled as she taunted the woman, "Down goes your second marriage plan as well." 

Tian Xifeng looked as if she was having a mid-life crisis as she tried to absorb all this shocking information.
