Chapter 208 - Sweet Stabs

With their gaze locked on one another, Jade asked, "You promise?" Her sea blue eyes were searching his hazel ones and waiting for his reply.

"With my life babe. I promise never to hurt you, or do anything that make will you sad or angry" He assured her, while Jade nodded her head.

"I'll hold to your words then" She told him. Jake placed his hand on both sides of her arms "Does this mean that you've forgiven me?" He asked with his expectant eyes.

"Hmm. Yes I have" She nodded with a small smile on her face. Jake dramatically heaved out a sigh, before breaking out into a smile. He pulled her in for a hug and muttered, "Thank you" into her ears. Jade also wrapped her arms around him as she hugged him back. She knew she couldn't stay angry at him for long, as a matter of fact, she had long forgiven him. How could she not, when she had such a sweet and cute boyfriend.

"Jake?"

"Yeah" He replied softly.

"Why did you bring me here? Was it to apologize to me?" She curiously asked. She didn't think it was necessary to go through all the hassle of bringing her there just to apologize. It's not like she was complaining or something — which girl would complain for being treated like a princess? Answer is, NONE.

"Hmmm, no" He replied. Jade pulled free from the hug as she looked at him.

"Then why?" She inquired, her eyes gazing at him.

Jake silently looked at her for a couple of moments. He took her hand and started walking towards a bench by the side.

"Actually this was where I wanted to bring you and confess my feelings to you, till i—"

"Till you blurted it out spontaneously" She completed his sentence, making them chuckle. 

"Yeah" He nodded his head, as they took their seat on the bench.

"So why did you still bring me here?" She asked, cradling her flowers like a baby, with her face turned towards him.

"Because I still want to do things right. And I knew you'd like this place" He told her.

"But there's no need for that. We're already together now" Jade reasoned.

"Babe there's every need for that. I want to let you know how important you're to me" He took the bouquet of flowers from her hand and placed it by the side, before taking her hand in his.

"Jake.."

"Hear me out" He interrupted her as he placed a kiss on the back of her hand, before looking deep into her eyes. 

"You know before I met you, i thought I had the best life anyone would wish for. I lived a very materialistic life, with no personal goals in mind. All I knew was work, party and girls. I had no view of what love is. I didn't know how it felt to be in love or want someone. I did the worst of things and I had non regrets" He paused as he continued to look at her.

"But all that changed when I met you. You came and you threw my whole life into chaos, but that was the most beautiful chaos anyone would ever wish to encounter. You thought me how to be good, how to love, to put others feelings first, you made me want and crave being with someone" He stopped and chuckled for a moment.

"It's funny how all this started with a night stand" 

Jade closed her eyes in embarrassment, "Oh please don't remind me of that" She mumbled out, as she raised her head up to avoid his gaze. She still hasn't gotten used to talking about that night. It was still the most embarrassing moment of her life.

"I'm sorry. I know it's embarrassing to you, but I'm grateful for that night. I don't know whatever prompted you to approach me, but I'm ever grateful and thankful to it. It brought me the most priceless gift of my life." He kissed the back of her palm again.

Jade's heart was fluttered from all the sweet and nice words Jake was saying to her right now. She was also grateful for that night. She didn't know how such a silly decision had turned out to be the most brilliant decision of her life. A mistake had turned into a blessing and she had to admit that just like Jake, she was also grateful to the cause that had made her approach Jake on that faithful night.

"You know after that day I couldn't get you out my mind. And when I saw you at the hospital again, it heightened my hunger for you. You were all I could think about for days. At first I thought maybe it was the sex we had. I thought maybe I couldn't get enough of the sex we had and that was why I couldn't stop thinking of you, and that was what prompted me to come after you. But little did I know that that wasn't the case.

After spending some time with you, I realized it wasn't about the physical pleasure, but it was all about the angel that just made a grand entrance into my life"

Jade couldn't help the smile curving on her lips. "Grand entrance huh?"

"Yeah" He nodded, smiling at her too.

"You know those times we spent together are the best days of my life. The memories we created are the best memories I've had. I never wanted our time together to ever end. Even when we where together I found myself missing you, I wanted you in all of my space. I wanted you to own and possess me like I was yours. Jade you made a stupid dumbass playboy like me, want to fall in love and stay buried in it"

"Hey stop cussing my playboy" She teased, smilingly.

"Okay I will" He nodded. He liked the fact that she called him 'her playboy'.

"I'm your loyal and faithful playboy. Only to you" He added with a happy smile.

"I know" Jade nodded vigorously with a smile still etched on her face. Gazzillions of butterflies were parading and buzzing in her stomach, her heart was fluttering and paragliding.

"Jade, I want to make more memories with you. I want to love you like no man's business, treat you like a queen which you truly are, show to the world that only have eyes for you, and that I'm your man who is stupidly and irrevocably in love with you. Babe you mean the world to me, and I don't want to ever lose you. I know I'm not be the best man there is, but I promise to do my best, to make you happy and to keep that smile on your face" 

At this point Jade's eyes were already glistening with tears. Her eyes were full of so many emotions, ranging from love to happiness, joy, care and more.

"I know I can't give you the world but I promise to hold on to you forever. Your love is all I want and need. I promise to do my best in making you happy and smile, just like how you're doing right now" He raised his hand to wipe the tear that rolled down her cheek.

"I love you Jade, I love you with every fiber of my being. I know my friends are saying I'm crazy for being in love with you, but I'd rather be insane than not be in love with you"

"Oh Jake" Jade called in a soft and 

teary voice, as she raised her hand to touch his face.

"Jade I love you" He said placing his hand over hers that was on his cheek. "And I won't get tired of telling you every single day" He added in a firm and promising tone.

"And I love you too" She said in soft and gently tone.

Jake's eyes widened when he heard that. His heart suddenly began to race. He had no idea, Jade loved him too. At best he thought she liked him, and was slowly developing some feelings for him, but he never knew she loved him.

"You do?" Jake asked in a surprised tone. He was shocked out of his mind, so much that his voice almost came as a whisper.

Jade nodded in her head in response, making another tear roll down her cheek. "I do, more than anything in this world." She told him, she couldn't hold the next tear that fell from her eyes.

Jake's heart touching words had made her so emotional and giddy. Each word was like a sweet stab to her heart and she couldn't control her tears anymore.

"I also want to say alot of things to you too" She said but Jake slid closer to her, covering the space that was between them till their arms were touching. He raised a finger to her lips and with a gentle and sexy tone he said, "You don't have to" making Jade slowly nod her head.

"Saying you love me is more than enough" He said as he wiped her tears away with both hands.

"Then I'll say it again. I love you Jake Beau"
