Chapter 209 - Yearning

"I got a proposal gift for you. I hope you'll like it" Jake said as he pulled out the blue velvet box with a ribbon tied across it.

"You did? You shouldn't have. You should have told me, now I don't have a gift for you" Jade said with a sad voice. Jake should have at least given her a hint that they were giving gifts today. Jake tilted her chin upward so she could look straight into his eyes.

"Jade you've already given me the best gift I could ever ask for, and that's being with me" He said with sincere eyes, as he handed the box to her. Jade looked at him before lowering her eyes to the box. She untied the ribbon and opened it. She gasped when she saw the beautiful necklace sitted inside. It was a silver chain necklace with a single diamond crystal. It was a dainty and simple piece, just like how Jade would like it. 

"Do you like it?" He asked, he was slightly nervous, while Jade nodded her head and that relieved him.

"I love it" She said in a small voice, before looking up at Jake. "Thank you" Her eyes and tone were appreciative making Jake feel both relaxed and happy.

Jade brought out the necklace from the box, she could tell it was expensive even though it looked simple. 

"Jake this must be expensive" She said as she looked at him.

"Even it is, you deserve more than this" Jake replied as he took the necklace from her hands. "Let me help you" he said. Jade nodded her head and turned around to back him. She moved her hair to the side, while Jake put the necklace around her neck. He arranged her hair back, while Jade turned around, her hands gently caressing the diamond crystal on the necklace.

"What do you think?" Jade asked.

"It's beautiful" Jake replied, his eyes fixed on the necklace that was beautifully sitting on her neck. To him it wasn't the necklace that was beautiful, it was her beautiful neckline that made it beautiful.

"So do you have anymore surprises for me?" Jade asked as she moved closer to Jake. She placed her head on his shoulder.

"Just one"

"Really?" She asked in surprise, snapping her head to look at him.

"Look" He said pointing at the sky. Jade raised her gaze to look at where he was pointing at, but disappointedly there was nothing there.

"Errmm..Jake what exactly are we looking at?" Jade asked confusedly, when all she saw was the pitch dark sky which was illuminated by the moon. She was yet to get her reply when she saw lightened lanterns floating, suddenly appeared in the sky. She gasped in both shock and surprise, as she stood to her feet.

She snapped her head to Jake and inquired, "You did this for me?" She asked with incredulity. This was too much for her to take. He was being so nice to her, treating her like a queen. She has never experienced this sort of feeling before. The feeling of being truly loved and valued by a person. These kind of gestures had never a part of her relationship her relationship with Cale.

There were times he got her flowers and chocolates, but they were always accompanied with something he'd want her to do. Back then she had understood that he was too goal driven and wasn't truly invested in the romantic things, that was the excuse she had made for him back then. Little did she know that that wasn't the case, and the truth was he didn't love her at all. Now seeing Jake treat so specially, her poor heart couldn't take it.

"Yes" He replied, standing up to meet her. 

"But how did you get the time to plan all this? You must have been so busy with work" He must be swarmed with work as the CEO of Acrosoft, so how did he plan all this? It must have been stressful.

"Babe, work shouldn't stop me from doing something for us. And I had help, it's one of the perks of being a wealthy man. Do you know you can plan even the grandest wedding from behind a desk when you have the right resources?" He teased. "And you should be looking at those lanterns not me" He said as he turned her around to look back at the floating lanterns.

"It's so beautiful. Everything is beautiful" She said in awe, while Jake hugged her from behind. 

"Not everything, just you" He whispered into her ears. Jade turned around to look at him again, making Jake let go of his hold around her.

"Jake thank you so much for making me feel special, and loved and—"

"Shhh" He hushed her, placing a finger on her lips. "You deserve all these and more" He told her.

Jade didn't know what else to say. How she felt at the moment was indescribable, she couldn't explain it. Even if she could there were no words to do justice to how she felt. They both stared at each other in silence, their gaze locked and their heart beats were almost synced, thumping steadily against their chest.

Jake couldn't tear his gaze from Jade. Her sea blue eyes were shining brightly at him and he was entrapped by it. His eyes fell on her lupscious lips and he couldn't help but gulp. They were enticing and he could feel them drawing him in.

He gently grazed his thumb over lips, his eyes still very much locked to it. He put his hands around her as he slowly began to lean closer to her.

Jade turned limp when Jake put his hand around her, and brushed his thumb over her lower lip. She could feel her heart pound fast against her chest when Jake inched his lips closer to her. His eyes were peering at her lips like he was dying to have a thirst of them, but he was also being careful. She was equally yearning to have a feel of his lips against hers. She melted in his embrace and closed her eyes as she anticipated what was about to happen next.

Seeing Jade close he eyes, Jake lowered his head and slowly covered her lips with his. The moment their lips touched he felt a warmth course through his veins. Her lips were just as soft as he remembered them. His body felt like it had finally gotten the most pleasurous thing it has been deprived of all his life.

Jade felt her head go blank when Jake's lips softly grazed hers. She felt a pleasurous warmth jolt down her spine, as she anticipated for more of his lips.

The light touch of Jade's soft lips against his made his mind blurry making him want to feel more of her tender lips. Without further ado, he slowly sucked her lower lips for a couple of times before kissing her.

The kiss was soft and gentle, and with each passing second it gradually turned intense. Jade raised her hands and wrapped it around his neck, inching his head closer and secretly inclining him to do more, while she tried she tried to return his kiss at the same intensity, increasing the tension building up within them. 

Jake couldn't hold himself from enjoying and savouring every each of her lips. Slowly he pushed his tongue against her mouth, begging and pleading for entrance which Jade willingly granted. He plunged his tongue inside her mouth as he carefully explored every inch of her mouth, till it met hers.

His hand around her waist slowly began to move across her back, his grip over her slightly tightened.

With their tongues entangled and plearously enjoying the warmth of each others mouth, they moaned out in pleasure. With each passing second the kiss became intense with each of them wanting more and being reluntanct to let go.

The kiss was filled so many emotions; love, happiness, content, and yearning. Because though they were together right now they still yearned for each other.

Reluctantly they pulled apart, their chest heaving up and down as they tried to steady their breaths. With their faces just a breath away, and their eyes locked on each other, Jake brushed his hand over her hair and to her cheek.

"I Love you babe" He said with ragged breath, his tone was low and soft, and very appealing to her ears, his hands gently cupping her face. 

"I love you too"

"But not as much as I love you" Jake retorted, placing a quick kiss on her lips, making Jade giggle.

"And who said that?" She asked defiantly.

"I did" He placed another kiss on her nose, her eyes, cheeks and on her lips again, making Jade giggle harder.

"Stop it" She said between laughs as she tried to smack his arm.

"I can't. You have to make me" He said with a cunning smile.

"How?" She asked as she tried to play along with him.

"Kiss me" He said.. Without giving her a chance to process what he had just said, he slammed his lips against her and started another round of pleasurous kissing.
