Chapter 210 - Redeeming My Pride

Jade held her bouquet in hand as Jake drove her back home. The happy smile on her face was wide enough to shame the sun. Her heart was fluttering and butterflies kept buzzing in her stomach. she had a beautiful night. As a matter of fact, her night was perfect.

Jake had made her feel different and loved. With Jake, she found love, peace and happiness and she couldn't ask for more. She was so happy to have him, she didn't care about his past or what he had done in time past, she simply loved him. He has shown her that he valued their relationship, that he loved her and was willing to try his best to make the relationship work.

She turned to look at him and her heart did a happy flip. She remembered the kiss they shared and she felt goosebumps crawl over her skin once again. she blushed when she remembered how passionate the kiss was. 

Hold on, did she just say kiss? The right word was— kisses. Because Jake had kissed her a couple of times till her lips got swollen. But was she complaining? NO!! As a matter of fact she loved every piece of it. She loved the way he teased her lips with his, explored her mouth with his tongue and also the way their tongues did a game of cat and mouse in her mouth. She subconsciously giggled out. Her hand flew to her lips to touch it.

She remembered the way Jake had held her possessively like he didn't even want an electron to exist between them. If it was possible he would glue her to himself. She liked everything!

Being lost in her reverie, Jade didn't notice Jake's awkward gaze on her. Her giggle had gotten his attention, and he was now staring at her as she brushed her finger against her lips. With how intense she was blushing right now he knew what was going through her mind right now, it was as clear as day. Seeing her like that his mind couldn't help but wander back to their series of kisses. He didn't know she was such a good kisser and he swore, he had lost himself to her, especially when she moaned into his mouth. Everything about his Jade was beautiful and he loves it.

"I know I'm an awesome kisser, but you don't have to be obvious about it, others might get jealous when they see you do that" He teased pointing his chin towards her hand which was still on her lips.

Jade was mortified when she heard him say that making her blush even more, she quickly pulled her hand away from her lips. 

"Who said I was –thinking about that? And– why are you so conceited? And also who said you're a good kisser?" Jade feigned ignorance. She'd die of embarrassment if she admitted to the fact that she was indeed thinking about Jake's kisses.

"So what you're trying to say is that I'm not a good kisser?" He asked taking a quick glance at her before returning his attention back to the road.

"Well, I can't really say. Maybe, maybe not" Jade replied with a shrug. Jake snapped his head to look at her with incredulity. He threw his hand back and laughed.

"You're asking for it for Jade Peterson" He replied as he suddenly pulled over.

"What are you doing?" Jade asked both in surprise and confusion. She was slightly startled when Jake pulled over like one of those superstar car racers.

"Redeeming my pride" He answered as he unbuckled his seat belt and leaned closer to Jade, suddenly taking her lips in his with no prior notice. Jade was shocked, her eyes flew wide open and she tried to break free, she kept mumbling into his mouth while shaking her head in protest, but Jake wouldn't hear of it.

Jake held her head in place with his hands as he kept kissing her lips. Jade had no other choice but to submit to him, but she made up her mind not to kiss him back. That resolution lasted for five seconds before she opened her mouth for Jake's onslaught. She couldn't resist him for too long and five seconds was the farthest she could go. She felt lost in her head when he kissed her with so much intensity. She closed her eyes as she let herself enjoy his wild and demanding kiss. Just as she moaned and was slowly losing herself to his lips, Jake brashly pulled away.

Jade groaned out in frustration when her lips didn't feel his on hers anymore. She opened her eyes and saw Jake looking at her, with a satisfied smirk on his lips.

Her eyes were fixed on his lips. She wanted more and he dare to pull away?! She wasn't thinking about why he was smiling at her like that.

"I think you just ate your words back" Jake said with a smirk, he licked his lips in a way that taunted Jade and her expression didn't hide it.

"So this was the point you were trying to make?" She asked incredulously. She couldn't believe Jake was trying to be petty right now.

"Do you think it isn't clear enough?" He asked tauntingly, tilting his head to the side.

Jade stared at Jake confusedly, her eyes blinked rapidly. She couldn't believe Jake would abruptly stop the car and kiss her just to prove a silly point. But since he was willing to play then she wouldn't mind playing with him too. 

Jade feigned a contemplative look, as she stared at him. "Sincerely I don't think it's clear enough. I think I have seen better" Jade replied in a serious tone.

"You're joking right?" He asked in disbelief. He scoffed as he eyed her.

"I don't know. After all I was left unsatisfied" She blurted out. Her eyes widened when she realized what she had just said.

"Really?" Jake's lips curved up into a mischievous smile.

"Huh?" Jade blinked innocently. She couldn't believe she had just said she wasn't satisfied with Jake's kisses. She cringed in her mind. How could she have said that out loud?

"So the problem isn't with the fact that the kiss isn't good enough, but that you can't get enough?" He asked teasingly as he gently inched closer to her.

"I — didn't–" She stuttered.

"You should have said so earlier. But since you've complained, who am I not to satisfy my girlfriend?" He winked before pecking her lips.

"Jake stop" She sald, but he dropped a feathery kiss on her lips before pulling away again. He was teasing her on purpose.

Jade saw that he was inching closer again, and she finally gave in. "Jake I admit it. You're a terrific kisser, even far better than that" She said, making Jake chuckle.

"But honey you know that's not the problem right now" He told her with a sly smile as he tried leaning closer again but Jade covered her mouth with her hand, repeatedly shaking her head.

"Then I'm more than satisfied. I take it back. I take back all my words. You're the very best" She admitted, mumbling behind her hands. She was sure Jake was ready to taunt her with his kisses if she didn't say what he wanted to hear.

"Babe are you sure? I don't want to disappoint you" He said with a cunning smile. Jade frowned when he wouldn't stop teasing her. 

"Jake stop it already" She pleaded in a small voice, her face was as red as a tomato. This bully of a boyfriend would not stop teasing her.

Jake surrendered, raising his hands to the air. "Okay fine I'll stop teasing you. But just you know you can always ask or probably-" He paused for effect. "Take it by force" He added before bellowing out in laughter.

Jade glared at him, before hiding her crimson red face by the window. Now she knows better than to do some silly things in front of Jake.

Jake looked at her one more time, he shook his head when he noticed she was still embarrassed. He shook his head before turning on the ignition.

Jade avoided looking at him till they finally arrived her place.

"Let me guess, you're not going to look at me anymore?" Jake asked when she kept looking ahead instead of his face. He gazed at her with surprise when she shook her head.

"You don't mean that, do you?" 

"You're going to tease me again" She replied.

"Of course not, I wouldn't dare" Jade didn't believe that was true. Jake has shown her his true colors and she wasn't going to fall for it.

Jake shook his head and sighed. He opened the door and stepped out of the car making Jade turn to look at him. Her gaze followed him as he rounded the car and came to her side of the car.

"You're one hell of a woman" He commented as he opened the door. Now she was looking at him.

"Too much for you?" She asked, while Jake shook his head. "Never" He replied. 

He helped her out of the car and he made her lean back on the car.

"I don't want the night to end" He said in a sad tone.

"Me too, but unfortunately it has to" 

"Yeah it's very unfortunate" He said tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ears.

"Thank you for giving me such a beautiful night" Jade said appreciatively.

"You don't need to thank me babe. It wasn't just for you, it was for us" He told her.

"But still-"

"There's no need for that. You're my woman and I must always do my best to make you happy" Jade didn't know how to respond to that. She just kept looking at him with nothing to say. Jake also stared at her, he wanted to kiss her again, but he couldn't. They were standing in front of her house and he didn't want to give her mother a bad impression about him.

"You should go in now. I don't want your mom to have a bad impression about me. I promised to always bring you back on time" He said making Jade pout. She also didn't want to go.

Jake understood her look when he saw it. He also wanted to spend more time with her, but it was really late already. "Be a good girl and go in. I still have to impress your mother" 

"But we're standing right here, I'm sure she won't mind" She told him.

"Not a chance sweetheart, come on let's get you in. We'll FaceTime later, I promise" He assured her, but Jade still wasn't happy.

"Promise?" She asked uncertainly.

"I promise"

"Okay, good night" Jade reluctantly said.

"Good night" Jake replied, before pulling her in for a hug. He hugged her tightly because this was the last hug for too tonight and he wanted to savor it. After a few minutes he reluctantly let go, but Jade kept staring at him. 

She was waiting for him to end the night properly, but Jake was giving her an awkward look. 'Why was she still standing, and why was she staring at him like that?'

Jade frowned slightly when he didn't do what was expected of him. She took a step closer and stood on her toes as she placed a kiss on Jake's lips, completely startling him.

"That's how a good boyfriend says good night" She said before walking away.

Jake couldn't believe what just happened. Did she just use his own words on him?
