Hillary's bedroom
Heavy pants could be heard from the two naked bodies lying on the bed. Beads of sweat was all over their body and the smell of sex was lingering in the air.
"That was great" Hillary said between ragged breath, as she tried to stabilize her breath after the strenous exercise she has just been involved in. Her dark hair was scattered all over the pillow and the young man lying next to her was brushing some strands away from her face.
"I knew you'd miss me. So bad you had to keep me away for such a long time" He said while feigning a pout, as he placed kisses all over her body. His hand was slowly trailing down her stomach to her core region, when Hillary grabbed his hand.
"That's enough play for you" She said as she got up from the bed. She picked up her robe from the floor and slipped it on.
"You had to stay away to keep your head straight" She said as she tied up the robe.
"But momma come on, I've been a good boy and I have done what you've asked. So why don't you relax and enjoy my treats" He said as he kneeled on the bed and moved closer to the edge where Hillary was standing. His hand fiddling with the rope of her robe. He smiled when she slapped his hand off and grabbed his chin. She lowered her head to him, her eyes staring emotionlessly at him, "Don't forget this is only a business deal, nothing else. The sex is solely because I lack a plaything at the moment" She spoke emotionlessly.
"But I'm not complaining, I like the bonus you're giving me, I just-" He said as he looked back at her.
"Dress up, let's talk business" She cut in, as she let go of her grip over his chin. She poured herself a glass of wine and sat on the single chair in the room, while she waited for him to dress up. she didn't like seeing his tool dangling before her eyes.
Soon he was dressed and was sitted on the couch opposite her chair. Her eyes lingered on him for a while before she took a sip of her wine.
"So how much damage do you think it can cause?" She finally asked the question on her mind.
"Pretty serious ones" He replied.
"And you're sure you can fix it?" She asked, her eyes fixed on him as she desperately waited for his reply. This was the most critical thing. If he couldn't fix the damages caused then her plans would be useless to her.
"Yes I can" He replied in a slightly annoyed tone. He didn't like when people doubted his abilities.
"And you're sure that no one can fix it other than you?" She wasn't going to leave anything to chance. Everything has to be on point and must go according to plan, so there could be no messing up.
"Hillary, I've said it before, and the answer remains the same. Even if there's some devillish computer wizard who can magically fix it, he or she wouldn't be able to do it faster than I can" He replied in an annoyed tone.
"Well I'm sure you still remember the consequences of things not going well for me. You can kiss your lust for revenge good bye. So you should make sure you do your best" She warned coldly, a dangerous glint dancing in her eyes, making the poor guy shudder.
"I know" He replied.
"Then get ready to work. Because Monday it's just around the corner"
"Then what about the papers you talked about?" He asked. This deal was of mutual benefit and since hers was getting good results, the same should also go for him.
"I'm working on it. I've got my people clearing up any evidence they might find, and they're working on the paperworks already. That's as far I can go for now. The rest is up to you" She told him, making him nod.
"That's good"
"If that's all, then you can leave, I still have other business issues to attend to" She said dismissively.
The guy looked at her for few more seconds before taking his leave.
…...
The moment Jake arrived the house he walked into his private study. As mush as he had tried disregarding the glitch he saw earlier as something trivial, it kept pulling strings in his heart, making him uncomfortable. He has been there all night looking as the codes and trying to work something out.
But the more he looked at it, the more unsettled he became. There was so much he had to do at the company. He was about to venture into a new collaboration with a foreign company and that was one of the things they were to discuss at the board meeting. But he was yet to fully prepare for it. He didn't know why, but he could feel some unseen pressure pressing hard on him. He had a foreboding about things.
He was still lost in his work when he received a call from Jade, it was a video call. His eyes nearly fell off when he saw it was her calling. He facepalmed himself when he realized he had failed to call her as promised. He knew he shouldn't be making such mistakes, but he just couldn't help this one.
He took a deep breath before answering her call.
"Hey baby, good morning" He said in a small voice, which was actually quivering.
"Hmm" She said eyeing him.
"Babe I'm sorry I forgot to call" Jake apologized, he knew she was angry that he didn't call.
"Really? You…" Her words trailed off when she took note of his background and the shirt he had on.
"Jake, are you at your office?" She asked curiously. Did he go back to his office after dropping her off?
"No, why do you ask?" He asked a question of his own.
"Isn't that your shirt from yesterday? And that definitely looks like a office" She could swear that was the same shirt he had on yesterday.
Jake didn't need to confirm, of course it was the same shirt from yesterday. He has been too lost in his work that he had spent his whole night on his desk. This was the price he had to pay for being the head of the company.
"Yes, but I'm not at the office. I'm at home" He told her.
"So you must have been working all night." She wasn't asking, it was clear that that was the case. And she was feeling quite guilty about it. She was the reason why he had left his work unattended to. If she hadn't made a fuss over Stephanie and her stupid words, he wouldn't have come all the way to her office to apologize, and also last night he had done so much for her, spent a lot of time with her and had also made such perfect plans just to make her happy and also to make her feel special.
"Not really"
"Babe are you lying now?" Jade frowned when he tried to commonise things.
"I'm not lying, and.....wait!" His eyes bulged when he realized Jade had just called him 'babe'. "What did you just say?" He asked with an excited glint in his eyes.
Jade's brows furrowed when she heard him. And why was he looking so excited?
"I asked if you were lying to me" She repeated herself.
"Not that" He hissed. "You just called me babe, right?" He curiously asked. He didn't want to think that he didn't hear well.
Was that what he was excited about? Because she called him babe? Didn't he call her that all the time? So why the excitement?
"No I didn't, I said Jake" She lied. She was still upset that he didn't call as promised and she had slept off while waiting for it. But right now she was more concerned with the way he was looking and the fact that he was still dressed just like he was last night.
Jake frowned when he heard her response. He was slightly disappointed.
"Babe don't you think you should start addressing me with some endearing names, like baby, honey, cup cake, boo, you know some like that like that" He said smilingly.
"But I like calling you by your name" She told him.
"But ..."
"Jake you're to divert my attention, let's talk about your endearment issues later, but first tell me why you're still looking like that" She pressed. That was Jade. When she is serious she is serious. And right now she was more concerned about why he was looking dishelleved, than calling him some sweet names.
"I was busy"
"All night?" She asked with concern.
"Not really. Babe it's nothing serious, it's just work" He explained.
"You're sure it's nothing serious?"
"Yes its—" Jake's words trailed off when he noticed a sudden override on his laptop, before it shut down on it's own. What the fuck just happened? He screamed in his head.
He returned his attention back to the his phone. "Babe let me call you back. I promise I will this time. I love you"
"Okay, I love you too" She replied. She felt unsettled when she saw his countenance change.. Something was going on, and she was sure of it.
