Nevertheless, it's a good camouflage tool if one is against a demonic beast that senses it's prey using body heat.
"Hmm... how do you sell these then?" Shen Tianyu asked as she indicated the bottles on the left of the stall.
"They start off at 50 Chengyuan points and increases as they become closer to the right." The disciple responded, warily eyeing her.
"Huh, why's the price different? They're all temporary affects anyways." Bai Yaoxuan asked with a scrunched nose.
"Because though the affects are temporary, they also get more dangerous. If handled without proper care, it can most certainly cause injuries." Shen Tianyu was the one to respond to the other's question. Rong Jian was already taking out his student badge, which is used to store Chengyuan points.
"Which one do you want to get, Wifey?" He asked as he held his school emblem in his hand.
"Mm... How much is the Ice Poison?" Shen Tianyu instead directed her attention to the stall owner.
"500 Chengyuan points." He simply replied.
"Then, I'll take the Throat Sealing Poison." Shen Tianyu pointed to the bottle on the furthest left, the cheapest one.
"Are you sure?" Rong Jian was thinking she wanted to buy the Ice Poison, he had enough for it in any case and if he doesn't have enough points by the end of their little spree, he can just borrow from someone else.
Shen Tianyu nodded and leaned towards him to whisper in his ear. "I'm only going to check it's quality so there's no need to waste too many points on these... experiemental objects."
The stall keeper picked up the bottle and held out his badge. Rong Jian held out his and when they both poured spiritual energy into their badges, they glowed with the color of their owner's spiritual energy and formed a line connecting the two objects. The multicolored line gradually solidified into a leafy green. After a few moments, the line gradually formed a number, 50, the price of the purchase, in the air between the teo objects and evaporated into nothing. The Head Disciple then handed the bottle over to Shen Tianyu. She thanked him and the three left the stall, looking for their other two companions that have wondered off.
"What was that just now?" Bai Yaoxuan excitedly whispered when they were out of earshot.
"A transaction." Shen Tianyu replied simply with a teasing smile.
"I know that! But the badges sparkled and then connected, and then... how does it work, is what I'm asking!" The other woman pouted, knowing she was being made fun of.
"Well, that question is best left to one more familiar with the system, no?" Shen Tianyu turned towards the person that paid, having stored her new purchase in her Cosmos Bag.
"Can the elders and Headmaster add points to the badges?" Shen Tianyu questioned.
"Um... I think the Headmaster has permission, but he rarely ever does so. As for the elders, I think only the Head Elders have permission, along with the Master manning the Accolade Pagoda, where students turn in missions for points."
"The Temple of Assistance doesn't give out points?" The place mentioned by Shen Tianyu was where students were supposed to go to pick out missions, something like a guild hall.
"No, it only takes points from those that wish to put out a mission. Though the Elders and Headmaster don't have to pay, of course."
"Why did they separate where you take out missions from where to turn it in? Such a pain." Bai Yaoxuan complained as she threw her hands over her head. Thankfully, no one was standing close enough to be hit.
"It's said it's because the Head master and Elders were afraid of crowding and overwhelming the staff if they mixed both of the features together, especially during busy times. The other reason was so others that came to pick a mission wouldn't be as able to bully someone that just returned from one into giving up their proof and taking someone else's credit. For the more dangerous missions, even experienced students could get hurt and that would certainly put them at a disadvantage in a fight against a student that had just woken up." Rong Jian calmly explined.
"Ooh..." Bai Yaoxuan drawled as she looked around the crowd.
"Ah, I see them." With her enahanced vision, Shen Tianyu was the first to spot the two men standing in front of a stall, and marvelling at the products on display. The three of them, hurriedly walked up to them to see what they were looking at that would occupy these treasured Young Masters so.
"Hey, what are you two looking at? We almost lost you." Bai Yaoxuan raised her voice as she was getting closer. Ningwu Liushan noticed her and waved them over. Bai Longtian just looked in their direction, nodded, and went back to looking at whatever it was he was gazing at.
