Zoey rubbed her face against her palms. "Urgh…" She grunted in distress. "He will listen. He will listen." Zoey chanted, recalling what kind of a person Ivan was.
Her memories started from the first time she met Ivan, and how they became good friends that were akin to most siblings. Then Zoey recalled that Ivan used to dislike her too. He used to insult her, call her names, and Zoey would beat him up. But now, their bond was unbreakable.
"Just trust him, Z. Trust Ivan. Yes, trust him." Zoey repeated over and over again as she convinced herself. To help herself from not sneaking out and following Cora herself, Zoey dragged the folders she asked Melanie to bring onto her lap.
Inside it, there were the dates, calendars, and all other handwritten stuff Zoey had jotted down. For her, jotting it down using a pen made it easier for her to recall everything. She wasn't a super human and Zoey needed effective ways that could give her the upperhand in this time-traveling.
"They'll be fine…" She muttered after she released a deep sigh, shaking her head aggressively as she shrugged her worries at the back of her head. For once, she needed to trust Ivan's judgment if she would drag him in her business with Inigo.
This could also stand as a test for Ivan if he was capable of handling Zoey's scheme in the future. Nevertheless, Zoey could always get back at Ezekiel Tang if he did something funny to Cora. Well, in their previous life, Ezekiel was sane enough not to raise a hand on Cora. Or else, she would have crippled him long ago.
Little did Zoey know, there would be a huge change, one which she couldn't have predicted.

Hours later, Cora stood in front of Tang Enterprise, gazing at it sharply as she ground her teeth. With a tight closed fist, she stomped inside the building. However, before she could even reach the entrance, she noticed a flashy orange car speeding slowly towards the parking space entrance.
She recognized that car; it was Ezekiel's car! Did that mean he was just going in to work? If that was the case, good! Cora scoffed as she pivoted her heel and sprinted to the entrance of the parking space. Taking this route was easier. Unbeknownst to her, it was indeed the easiest route for cars as it was the only route, but not for a person.
Since the parking space was underground, the way spiraled down and Cora took caution. She used the light of the car as her guide and followed it slowly. When she reached the flat underground parking space, Cora immediately dashed towards the orange sporty car.
The lights of the car shut off to reveal the dashing young Ezekiel Tang. With one press on the button of his key, it produced a sound before he opted to go inside the elevator heading to the office.
However, even before he could, he stopped in his tracks as he turned to the echoing voice of a woman calling his name. He knitted his brows, watching a grandma rush towards him as if she was full of life. Only when he got a clearer vision of her, he realized it wasn't a lost grandma but Zoey's friend: Cora Ma.
"Tang Ezekiel!!" Cora Ma shouted again, her voice echoing across the whole underground parking space. When she stopped several steps away from him, Cora was already out of breath. Who would have thought that taking the parking space route was this long and tiring?
She panted, was barely able to stand but she needed to place her hand on her knees as she gasped for more air. "You," Still out of breath, Cora patted her chest displaying her lack of exercise.
"What are you doing here?" Confused why she was here, Ezekiel raised his right brow as he cocked his head a little to the side. "Where's Zoey?" He asked, inciting a mocking scoff from Cora who was utterly speechless by his audacity.
"Hah!" Although Cora just slightly recovered, her utter disdain towards this scum gave her a strong will to stand straight up. "Really? You're asking where is she? Are you serious, right now?" Cora chuckled in disbelief, shaking her eyes as she gazed at him from head to toe.
"You're really shameless, aren't you? Do you really think that my friend is stupid? She's in love with you, but you give her no respect and treated her like sh*t!" Cora's boiling point slowly reached its peak with every word she uttered. Just where did he get his guts to ask about Zoey's whereabouts after making her his mistress? The nerve!
"Huh?" In a deeper confusion, Ezekiel knitted his already creased brows. "Ma Cora, are you drunk?" He asked, thinking that that's the only possible reason why Cora was spouting nonsense. He then checked the time on his wristwatch, shaking his head as it was too early for someone to drink.
"Me? Oy, oy, oy, don't feign innocence as I already know what happened!" Since for her, Ezekiel was just denying it by playing the innocent card, as if it would work. "I knew you're bad news from the beginning but to think you're even worse than I imagine -- gosh! What a scum!" She looked at him once again from head to toe, shaking her head in disbelief. Aside from his looks and money, there's really no good traits he has in his personality.
Although it was good that Zoey broke up with him, Cora couldn't let go of the fact that her best friend was labeled a mistress! Just what was he thinking?! Cora couldn't understand; no matter which angle she looked, it just didn't make sense why he had to play with two women's hearts. If he didn't love Zoey or his original girlfriend, he should've looked for someone who was up for no string attached!
"Ma Cora, I don't know what you're talking about. Whatever Zoey told you, she's lying and I advise you to watch your words. You're in my place." Ezekiel warned. He didn't have long patience to cater to Cora's nonsense.. Hence, his expression grew uglier as he frowned.
