Chapter 335 - Stop Towing Tantam And Crash

"What did you say?" In utter disbelief, Ivan gasped as he looked down to see her holding her phone as she read a message. By instinct, Cora read it aloud slowly and carefully this time.

"Stop towing tantam and crash."

"Pfft--!" Ivan facepalmed, his shoulder shook as he laughed. His laughter grew louder as he held his stomach. "Damn… this is hopeless." He muttered in between his chuckles as he shook his head.

"Right, sure. f*ck it." With that being said, Ivan gritted his teeth and ate the instant noodles with a heavy heart. Cora, who thought Zoey translated her words into a decent sentence, smiled and ate her food in peace.

"Tantum and crash… jeez," Ivan repeated before shoving the noodles inside his mouth. 'This is really ridiculous.' He whispered internally as he glanced at her.

"You, I'll make sure you will learn basic english sentences in three months and laugh at your own face when you realize what you've said." Although she didn't understand him, Ivan couldn't be bothered by it as they both ate while he planned to tutor her afterwards.

This situation was just frustrating for him. What's the point of disliking each other at first sight if they couldn't even argue about it? What's the point of insulting her and vice versa if they couldn't understand?

Having those thoughts in mind, Ivan even forgot that he disliked her in the beginning. For now, he wanted to teach her basic English since Zoey didn't teach her. He would make sure that once they bicker, they would understand and not end up asking for Zoey's help.

She wouldn't help them! She's worse than any machine translation they could find on the internet. She certainly changed what Cora's original words were. Little did he know, it was a better translation than Cora's original statement.

"Achoo!" Zoey sneezed, rubbing her nose as she felt someone was cursing her behind her back. That Ivan… it is surely him." She murmured, glancing at Cora's "thank you" reply.

'They really have bad chemistry. Oh well, good thing they seem to be doing okay." Zoey whispered, shaking her head as she returned her focus onto the timeline she was working on.

"What's the problem? Why didn't I get the contract with them again?" She asked herself, leaning her back against the pillow as she stared at the ceiling. Zoey recalled the sequence of the upcoming meeting and what happened in her previous life.

As she dwelled on her memory, Zoey's brows twitched. She failed to get a decent conversation because she was a woman, a surname bearing no value in the business industry, and poor company progress.

"Damn it…" She cursed. "That's not the information I needed." Zoey grumbled in dismay as she closed her eyes to concentrate.

For a moment, Zoey entered her silent state of mind as she rummaged her memory about this particular company. It all started at the irrelevant insults Zoey received at their first meeting, the confidence of the client as he bragged about his estate and so on.

Zoey then thought of the years when she achieved success in the industry. Along the lines, she remembered a news regarding that company and chuckled. "Right…" She murmured, nodding her head as that was the information she needed.

Remember Zoey crossed out the companies she had no chance of closing the deal? Yet, she didn't cross out this particular company for a reason she felt like she still had a chance. Now, she recalled why.

It was because she could close the deal in a very dirty way. Indeed, Zoey had disregarded her business ethics in the previous life just to take this shortcut. It might be a little troublesome, but she needed Z Image Group to prosper in a stable and fastest way possible so she could execute her plans.

Moreover, in that way, she'll have enough funds. After all, the company she was about to close a deal with in a few days was an all prospering company. Although it wasn't as successful as those giants like XI Corporation, he was still considered remarkable.

"Hehehe…" Zoey chuckled evilly, as she sat up straight and grabbed her phone. Zoey then searched through her contacts to ask for help from someone she relied on through the years: Milo!

Soon, Zoey found the user that she had named: Rat. As the corner of her lips curled into a smile, Zoey pressed the call button. It rang and rang until the subscriber's voice was left speaking. Zoey then again tried to contact Milo. This time, Milo picked up after the fifth ring.

"Hey," When the line connected, Milo's sleepy hoarse voice came in.

"Dig information regarding the Feng's estate." Without any introductions or pleasantries, Zoey ordered.

"Ehh… Feng Estate, huh?" Milo scratched his head, his expression changed into an ugly one. "That'll be hard and the price will be costly." He added, his mind instantly summarized the rate of his digging that'd be blackmail worthy.

"Sure." No negotiations required, Zoey nodded her head in understanding despite that he wasn't seeing her action. However, her act of not haggling came suspicious for Milo as she was the most cheapskate person he had ever known in his life.

"You're fine with it?" He asked, his eyes narrowed as if it would help him hear her clearly.

"Yes."

"You're scamming me." Upon Zoey's firm yes, Milo was now convinced she was not willing to pay him. Not that she would get anything from him if that happened. He just disliked the fact of getting deceived. Moreover, he wouldn't be able to trust her again.

"Damn it…" His answer made Zoey frown, rolling her eyes as she retracted her phone away from her ear and tapped it several times. "Hang on," After several seconds, Zoey placed the phone back in front of her ear."Check your account." She ordered.

Milo, although suspicious and puzzled at her last remark, did as he was told. Upon seeing that there's money in his empty bank account, his eyes widened in disbelief. "Woah! Are you a big shot now?" Excited, Milo awed as he got back on the line.

"That's almost all the money I have, but I will if you do your job properly." Zoey who was not even pleased at Milo's change of tone sassed. "If you did this properly, this is not the only project you'll be doing. That's for sure."

"Yes, ma'am!" With that being said, Zoey ended the line as she sighed.

"I never realized I had a bad image until now.." She murmured, shaking her head as this realization struck her hard.
