Chapter 367 - Weird Argument

"I still wonder why your boss tried to get his way under your grandma skirt." As Cora got a little weird in silence, Ivan murmured.

He gazed at her from head to toe, shaking his head. "Even if she wears less, I wouldn't get a hard on. Well, I'm not a pervert." He commented, shrugging his shoulders as she let her mind wander somewhere else while he looked for words.

'No, Cora! Get a grip on yourself! Your heart belongs to brother Zion! How dare your heart race for this annoying foreigner?! He didn't mean to look like a flirt, right?! No, I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a charming flirt with his looks, but I can't be affected! This is probably because of what happened earlier! Yes, that must be it!' Unlike her silence, Cora's mind was running rather wildly as a lot of things were going on.

She tried to take a glance at Ivan, who was busy skimming through the dictionary, and immediately looked away. Her heart wouldn't slow down, giving her utter guilt for 'cheating' on her greatest love: Zion Kwan.

"Pst." Just then, Ivan snapped his fingers as he whistled to get her attention. "Read this." He leaned closer to her, his eyes on the words he was pointing. However, his sudden close distance caused her to jolt from her seat farther.

"What? This!" Upon sensing her sudden defensive reaction, he frowned. "I won't do anything silly like what your perverted boss did." Ivan reassured, assuming that her reaction was because of the previous ordeal earlier. Little did he know, Cora's dilemma was far from that. It was way worse to her brittle heart.

"Aish…" Yet, despite his good intention as he found a good way to communicate with her now, Ivan was annoyed at her defensive stance. Thus, as soon as he clicked his tongue, he skimmed through the dictionary and searched for another word.

Seeing him annoyingly flip the pages, Cora knitted her brows. The next second, he showed her the dictionary again. His expression was annoyed, staring at her while pointing at the dictionary without a word.

Curious, Cora blinked her eyes and tipped her eyeglasses. She leaned slightly forward for a closer look, albeit cautiously. The second she saw the word 'ugly', her blood pressure shot up, Now, her heart was not only beating faster but also harder due to the urge to strangle him!

"Yes, you look ugly that's why I won't do anything to you, okay? I mean, even if you're pretty, I won't do anything because I respect women or people." In a matter-of-fact tone, Ivan shrugged his shoulders.

Just then, the fuming Cora snatched the dictionary away from him. As she flipped pages angrily, Ivan drew closer with his right brow arched. Cora first pointed at the word "stupid", then glared daggers at him.

"Hah!" Upon seeing the insult from her, Ivan was utterly speechless. "This woman…! Tsk!" Ivan ground his teeth, clicking his tongue in annoyance as he peered at her in disdain. "Give me that! Again, Ivan snatched the dictionary from her and searched a word for a come back.

Neither of them would have imagined that they would be in a situation where they would exchange insults from pointing on the dictionary without saying a word. It was stressful and silly on so many levels.

Surprisingly enough, despite their peculiar situation, they ticked each other off pointing one word insults! No one would even believe how they managed. The situation went on for god knows how long! They didn't even notice the time because they were consumed picking insulting words until there was nothing left to choose from.

Hours later…

"Thank you!" Still angry at him, Cora shoved the helmet to him. Her eyes glared at him about to roll when their eyes met.

"Hah! You should be." Ivan, who was equally pissed as her, scoffed in disdain.

"Hmmp!" Her hands curled into a fist, grinding her teeth. "This bastard just wait until I can speak the same language as you. I'll definitely crush you!" Due to the excessive hatred accumulating inside her heart, Cora clicked her tongue.

"Haha! Are you cussing me now? You think I won't know since I can't understand -- hah!" Annoyed that Cora was speaking in the language he couldn't understand, Ivan scorned. "This lady! How ungrateful. I dropped you home out of clear conscience and you curse me? Tsk!" He gazed at her from head to toe, laughing in ridicule as it would be too shameful to think that he was dating her.

After all, whether or not they admitted it, Ivan was undoubtedly dashing. On the other hand, Cora was short and old-fashioned. Not to mention, she acts without a thought -- acting tough when in fact, she's a pushover.

'I don't want to talk to you anymore. I'm losing brain cells.' was what she wanted to say. However, all she could say was "No talk!" which irked Ivan further.

"Fine! Why am I even arguing with you?" Infuriated, Ivan ground his teeth as he couldn't really tolerate her behavior. Rather, he couldn't tolerate this language barrier between them!

Why? Obviously, because Cora wouldn't understand his insults and she wasn't crying yet. If only she could understand him, Ivan would surely make her cry as a punishment. Call him cruel and heartless, but Ivan didn't care. He was just utterly frustrated at this dilemma which he never thought would bring this level of angst to him until she came into the picture.

Just as Ivan and Cora glared at each other, a light from a car suddenly beamed at them. The two unconsciously turned their head towards the direction of the approaching car. Both narrowed their eyes; Ivan shaded his eyes by his hand while Cora's eyes moved to the plate number.

Before she could see the plate number, the lights were turned off. "Huh?" Ivan cocked his head to the side, knitting his brows as he waited for someone to come out of the car.

Soon, the driver's seat car opened. The two carefully waited for the person to exit the car which didn't take long. There, a tall figure stood behind the door, all his facial features screamed his nobility as he smiled gently at them.

"Brother Zion!" When Cora snapped and realized it was her long time crush, her face colored in positivity.

However, unlike her reaction with Zion Kwan's presence, Ivan's was the complete opposite. His eyes glinted maliciously, fixating it to Zoey's brother his hands balled into a fist. "Brother Zion, what -- ah!" Just before Cora could fawn around him, Ivan pulled her back without looking away from Zion Kwan's figure.

"Don't you ever think about it." His tone was void of emotion. If anything, there's nothing but bone-chilling that could be felt in his tone. Even Cora instinctively shuddered and her feet remain rooted on the ground.

"Okay…" Like a tamed puppy, Cora nodded her head as she couldn't muster the same courage arguing with him with the air surrounding him.
