Chapter 380 - The Outcome

After that, Zoey once again sat down. However, instead of the Master Feng she was talking about earlier, the assistant was now the person sitting in front of her; they switched positions with the previous Master Feng on the assistant's tatami mat while the 'assistant' sat across Zoey.

"Now, shall we start discussing real business?" Zoey smiled, her demeanor changed from being at peace to something completely different; much darker and suffocating that Ivan and the 'assistant' could feel.

"Miss Zhou, I applaud your intel and preparedness for this business meeting." The assistant removed his eyeglasses, brushing his slightly drooping hair back. His timid demeanor also changed, emanating real cunningness that was way different than the act of Jimmy Feng earlier.

"Of course, I am, after all, meeting you Don Cecil." Zoey shrugged, beaming him a proud front as she dropped the name she managed to uncover within three days.

Upon hearing the man's name, Ivans back stiffened. 'Don Cecil?' Ivan's eyes scrutinized the man before Zoey, blinking his eyes in shock.

'Cecil? Don Cecil? That notorious Don Cecil who controlled three huge gangs of the country's three gangs in the east?' Ivan wondered internally, before it malfunctioned at how serious and risky Zoey's shady business was.

Deep down, Ivan knew Zoey had another plan in mind. He was just not sure what it was and Zoey wasn't mentioning anything. But now, Ivan wished he should have asked. This sudden information flooding his head was too much that he couldn't prioritize which one to be worried about.

"Haha!" Don Cecil clapped his hand, shaking his head as he was truly in awes that the information from his headquarters were true."I am really amused, but at the same time, curious how Miss Zhou managed to know this information." Relaxed, Cecil sighed as he didn't expect any answer from her.

"I've made Jimmy Feng big in the business industry and we did business with multiple big companies. None of them suspected anything…" After chuckling, Cecil cleared his throat as he returned his attention back to Zoey. "Who would have thought that you, Miss Zhou, would be the first one to shake me after uncovering the truth?" He sneered, his eyes never left hers while Zoey didn't also break her eye contact.

"I didn't expect that too, Cecil." She giggled, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly. "I mean, I've been practicing fortune-telling for awhile now, and I came across a vision." She explained, well-aware how nonsensical her words might sound.

However, Zoey and Cecil had the same understanding of her crap. Whatever nonsense she spouted, what's important was the result. What was the result? Zoey knew the truth behind Cecil's scheme who had been controlling the Feng Estate for years using Jimmy Feng as his figurehead.

"Oh? Is that so?"

"Yes," Zoey nodded her head, oozing with confidence. "That is why I came across looking you up." She chuckled, raising her brows as she shot him a knowing look.

"Haha, how convenient to see the future, huh?" In a joking manner, he muttered. "Anyway…" He paused, looking down at the contract she gave earlier and skimmed through it.

"Honestly, Jimmy's deductions were true. Your prices are twice -- no, much higher than our partner. I always leave the negotiations with him, but we're at your mercy, aren't we, Miss Zhou?" Cecil only did a quick scan of the prices and he couldn't disagree with Jimmy.

Cecil only told Jimmy to lower the prices down as much as he could. Jimmy could do that. However, if only Cecil knew from the start how capable and cunning Zoey was, he wouldn't have underestimated her.

Now, actually, he would know if the man he sent to threaten her didn't escape. If he said a word, and didn't cower from dying in his own colleague's hand, Cecil could have prepared beforehand. Still, he was relaxed because he had more cards to play.

"Oh, Don Cecil…" Zoey shook her head, touching her earlobe. "How can you be at my mercy if you can order me to send me to the netherworld?" In a matter-of-fact tone, Zoey tilted her head to the side, stretching her lips a little up.

"Hahaha!" Yet, her humble reply caused Cecil to burst into laughter. "You're not just courageous, but smart as well! I've never been impressed by a woman." Cecil clapped in glee, peering at Zoey's humble front.

"It's my honor, Don." Zoey smiled, accepting the compliment. Well, her sleepless nights were slowly paying off. Those sleepless nights she had to study this man so she could be appealing to him.

"Anyway, how about you reduce the price a little?" Cecil proposed proudly, shameless as he knew Zoey was well-aware of her position. She was right. He could just mobilize more men to kill her as their last resort.

However, Cecil didn't prefer more bloodshed that could trace the crime to Jimmy Feng. Thus, to settle everything in peace, she only needed to agree to reduce her price and try to not rip him off.

"Don Cecil, will you reduce the price of your other products, then?" Still bearing her meek smile, Zoey queried. "If you do, I've prepared a contract that's half the price of the current one." She added, taking out the folder from her bag and slid it towards him.

"Hah," Not surprised that she knew more than she should, Cecil shook his head. "Tell me, Miss Zhou, I can't let you distribute drugs -- there'll be war." In a matter-of-fact tone, Cecil explained.

Not that Cecil didn't want to sell her anything. Just that, his real business that generated him most money was a big no for Zoey. His distributors would revolt that would give him more problems than he already had.

"Ah, no, Don Cecil. I am not interested in drugs." She shook her head sideways, chuckling as she didn't expect that Cecil would bluntly tell her about his drug business. She didn't know that.

"Other products… I mean your services."

"Services?" Confused, his brows knitted together. "What services? I don't remember giving anyone services." He clarified, narrowing his eyes as he anticipated what Zoey was referring to.

Zoey sipped her cold tea, hydrating her throat before calmly putting it down. She took her precious time to heighten his thrill to know the truth. Soon, her lips slowly parted and words came out. "Three months from now, I'm expecting a cargo. I need Don Cecil's help for that cargo to get inside the country without anyone knowing it exists."

"Oh? Is it drugs?" Cecil arched his right brow, suspiciously looking at her as that sounded as shady as his business.

"Don't worry, I still want to live." She kid, chuckling before Cecil joined in laughing. "It's not for business use, Don. It's for personal use." Zoey stared at him dead in the eye, nodding her head ever so slightly as a gesture of reassurance that it wouldn't give him trouble.

For a minute, Zoey and Cecil stared at each other. The battle of stare lasted for several more seconds before Cecil sighed. "Aiya… usually, I wouldn't even try to negotiate. However, since I like people who are as wicked and smart as I am…" Slowly, Cecil rose from his seat and forwarded his hand .

Seeing this gesture, Zoey also stood up with a smile. Slowly, she accepted his hand and shook it. "I'm looking forward to doing business with you." Cecil grinned which Zoey returned with the same energy.

"Me too, Don Cecil." Zoey replied.

With that being said, the deal was closed and Ivan was left dumbfounded at how everything rolled before his eyes. 'What was my use here if she already had everything wrapped around her hand?'
