Chapter 569 - One Question Solved; Thousand Of Questions Appeared.

"It's you…?!" Zoey gasped in disbelief as she watched the dumpling, that had gone missing in action, float around while giggling.

Churu, the dumpling that appeared when she time-traveled and vanished, was now in front of her. Zoey had tons of questions to ask this small creature.

However, her mind was so muddled that she didn't know where to start. All Zoey could do was watch Churu dance happily in the air with a bright grin on her white, unblemished, and adorable face.

"What… why are you here?" Zoey asked, forgetting the young monk in front of her who bore a puzzled look on his face as Zoey began speaking to herself.

The monk looked around but he could see nothing in the direction she was looking at. Thus, he grew worried as it seemed to him that Zoey wasn't just being surrounded with evil but she also had a problem in her head.

"Young Miss, are you alright?" The monk asked hesitantly, knitting his brows as his hairless scalp glinted.

"Yes, yes. Can you give me a moment?" Zoey answered without looking at the monk. She didn't care what the monk had to say or think about her mental state because Zoey needed a serious talk with this dumpling.

For a moment, the monk went silent before he nodded in understanding. "I'll be back, then."

The monk said as he slowly got up to his feet and left without a word. Since he respected Zoey's request, the monk thought she needed time to reflect as it seemed like she needed it.

"Hey, stop dancing and flying!" When Zoey heard the monk close the door, she snapped as the energy of the dumpling flying around made her a little dizzy.

"Why are you here? No, what's going on? Have you been here all along? Why did you leave me before without explaining things further? How did Inigo come back? He has his memories from our previous life! Please, tell me why Inigo has his memories while others don't!"

As soon as Churu stopped floating around, Zoey spouted a series of questions aggressively. She didn't know where to start. Hence, she just asked the questions that had been clogging in her mind one after another.

"Woah woah chu! Calm down and breathe!" Churu exclaimed as she noticed that Zoey was out of breath and was about to throw another batch of questions at her.

"Calm down and breathe? I would but I don't know if you'll disappear again!" Zoey ground her teeth as there was a touch of urgency in her voice.

"Hehe! Smart, smart chu!" Churu giggled, not denying that she would disappear on her again. "5 minutes! That's my given time slot! So, ask only the important chu!"

The small dumpling raised her tiny five fingers up, showing Zoey the time until she would disappear again. Zoey nodded, gulping a mouthful of saliva and breathed in and out.

"There, there chu. Breathe in and out… fill your mind with positivity." Slowly, Churu flew towards the cushion where the monk sat earlier.

Churu perched on it, placing her tiny hand on her knees as if meditating. She was adorable but, at the same time, it was ridiculous of her! She looked like a monk as she also had no hair and she was just a pure white bun!

"Why are you here?" Zoey ignored the ridiculousness in front of her as she finally asked.

"Wait chu! Important questions only!" Churu reminded, closing her eyes as she breathed calmly -- meditating to find her own peace.

"Right," Zoey nodded as she discerned Churu's reason for coming by was not important at the moment. "How come Inigo has his memories from our previous life?"

"Because he died and his blood mixed with yours before the power of the bracelet was activated." Without opening her eyes, Churu explained indifferently.

"In other words, you died together and his soul somehow tagged along on your journey."

"What?" Zoey knitted her brows in disbelief.

Her suspicion that Inigo died right after her was clear. Zoey already thought Inigo would be killed by his own boredom as his obsession to kill her failed as Zoey was the one who killed herself. However, she didn't really expect that the man would do it right after she committed suicide.

"So he killed himself right after…" Zoey muttered under her breath.

"Huh? What are you saying?" Slowly, Churu opened her eyes and looked at Zoey as she cocked her little head to the side.

"Nothing. My next question is…"

"He didn't." Churu suddenly uttered, interrupting Zoey's next question.

Upon hearing the dumpling's last remarks, Zoey furrowed her brows as thousands of questions were raised in her head. "What do you mean' he didn't'? You mean, Inigo didn't commit suicide?"

"Uh huh, chu."

"Then, how did he die?" Zoey immediately queried. She didn't dare look away at the tiny figure, waiting to get an answer.

"How do people die, Miss time-traveler?" Instead of answering Zoey's question, Churu threw a question that took Zoey aback.

"Accidents, natural death, suicide, or…"

Churu added, trailing off her suggestions of people's cause of death as she cast Zoey a knowing look. Zoey was stunned, as she bet on the latter -- murder.

"No…" Zoey whispered as she was lost of words momentarily.

So, does this mean someone killed Inigo right after she died? Who?

"Miss time-traveler, a lot of things happened after you pulled the trigger. If you were patient enough, you would have known the truth and carried it in this lifetime. After all, you are meant to experience the privilege of living once again."

Churu sighed in disappointment, shaking her head sideway as she clicked her tongue.

"Truth?"

"Yes, the truth! Are you sure the truth you know was not just the tip of the iceberg, chu?" Churu asked while blinking her eyes ever so slowly. "Are you sure having that knowledge will not repeat the history… oh, it's not the history! It's the future! Chichichi!"

"What are you saying…?"

"Oh! Time's up! I gotta go!" Without answering Zoey's last question, Churu sprung up from her seat as she flew up and bumped her forehead on the ceiling.

"Ouch!"

"Wait!" Seeing that she was hastily leaving, Zoey called out desperately. "What do you mean?"

"Miss time-traveler, a word of advice: only the person who knows the entire truth can solve the problem! Just relax because you're doing just fine chu!" Churu winked, leaving Zoey dumbfounded before vanishing into thin air.

Meanwhile…

"You're not a monk, are you?" Matthew inquired, staring at the man who was wearing a monk's clothes but didn't appear to be one.

"No, I'm not. I'm here to retrieve the lost soul that escaped death -- you." Cold and emotionless, the person before Matthew answered with a straight face.

"Scum!" Just then, a minion voice was heard as she landed a flying kick on the man disguised as a monk.
