Chapter 664 - Zion's Ignorance

Zion remained silent throughout the entire ride. Even when they stopped in front of a hotel building and rode the lift to its rooftop, he kept mum.

However, Zion couldn't help but ask when he saw that on the hotel's rooftop was a helipad.

"Mister Xi, where are we going?" Zion shouted for Matthew to hear him. Yet, Matthew only cast him a side eye and said nothing.

When Matthew trudged towards the men who were expecting him, Zion followed. With that, they hitched inside the chopper and off they went.

Matthew remained silent the entire hour flight. Zion wanted to ask, but Matthew had already told him he'd show him. Therefore, Zion kept his myriads of queries inside his head.

After a long time, Zion peeked through the window as the chopper descended. He furrowed his brows upon seeing a huge mansion in an isolated place.

It was as if the entire mansion and surroundings were not part of the country.

"What…" Zion murmured.

Soon, the chopper landed and someone from outside opened the chopper's door. Zion glanced at Matthew's side as he was going out, Paul was outside and welcomed him.

Meanwhile, the person standing outside on the side of his door was none other than Ivan. Ivan still seemed annoyed as ever, but he just gestured him to come out.

After unbuckling himself and removing his earmuffs, Zion departed the chopper. Paul was speaking to Matthew as they walked towards the mansion.

Zion was baffled, confused at everything. Ivan was walking ahead of him, gazing down as he was using his phone.

When they reached the mansion's premises, Zion looked around in surprise. There were tons of men walking around. Some were wearing uniformed suits, while others were just in their simple shirts drenched with sweats and pants.

Zion blinked his eyes again. The mansion was grand. However, on the inside, it seemed like he had entered a military base.

"Bro!" Inigo's voice snapped Zion back to his senses as he moved his eyes towards the voice's direction.

There, Inigo was walking towards them with arms spread wide. In Zion's eyes, Inigo was another foreigner like Ivan. Fortunately, Zion could understand and speak their language without a problem.

"Ooh… another guest?" Inigo smirked as he glided in front of Zion. He walked around him, scanning him from head to toe.

"What's your skills, boy?" asked Inigo, throwing Zion in a pool of confusion. "Assasination? What's your method? Sniping? Close combat? Hacking, perhaps?"

"What are you saying? I'm a doctor." Zion said flatly. Alas, Inigo chuckled.

"I know. I'm joking." Inigo stepped back and pointed his finger at him. "Zia's crazy brother?"

"Uh… my sister is here?" A bit taken aback, Zion shook his head as he queried about Zoey's whereabouts.

"Uhh," Upon his question, Inigo scratched his temple as he glanced at Matthew who was talking to Paul.

"Joker, you didn't tell him yet?" Inigo raised his voice to catch Matthew's attention.

"Tell me, what?" Upon the question, there's this sudden anxiety that crept inside Zion's heart. He darted his eyes from Inigo to Matthew and then to Ivan who was busy with his phone.

"Tell Angelo to come here after settling things in Z Image." Matthew ordered which Paul replied with a stern yes.

Slowly, Matthew marched towards them. "She's not here."

Matthew coldly informed upon reaching Zion's side. Zion furrowed his brows as he darted his eyes full of confusion to Inigo and Matthew.

"She's on vacation." Suddenly, Ivan chimed in without taking his eyes from the phone.

"Vacation?"

"Follow me. I'll brief you on the way." Matthew beckoned. He didn't wait for Zion as he started walking.

Along with Matthew, Ivan also followed him but Zion remained standing rooted on the ground. Inigo as well, staring at him with a smirk.

"Hey," Inigo called out in a low tone, snapping Zion from his trance. "You wouldn't lose your mind in this lifetime now, would you?"

"Huh?"

"Hehe." Inigo chuckled as he scanned him once again. "Let me tell you something, brother."

Inigo walked closer. He placed his hand over Zion's shoulder and cocked his head as he stared at Zion's side profile.

"In the previous lifetime, you lost your mind after losing your wife in an accident. Because you've lost all will to live and lost your mind after being hunted by your grief, you sold your sister to the hands of the devil. Don't lose your head again or Matthew will personally cut you, limb by limb."

"What…" Processing his words didn't make sense to Zion. Hence, he scoffed. "I would never do that to my sister. I think it's you who lost it."

"Well, I'm gradually losing it." Inigo shrugged as he didn't take offense in Zion's remark. "I'm just warning you. Everyone here is alive because of Zia -- including you. Don't commit the same mistake because that man pledged not to commit the same mistakes as well."

Inigo patted Zion's shoulder lightly as he smirked. He had never met him even in their previous life, but he had heard a lot of things.

"Come, brother. You'll finally get to know the world your sister has endured all her life while you play the kind prince."

With that being said, Inigo prompted to follow where Matthew went. Zion watched Inigo's retreating back.

"The world my sister had to endure…?" Zion whispered as his heart suddenly pounded against his chest.

For some reason, he felt this growing anxiety within him as the vibe in the mansion was far different from any place he had been to. Before Inigo could escape his eyes, Zion followed Inigo's tracks.

Little did Zion know, what would welcome him on the other side of the mansion was something he would never expect. Something he was not prepared to see.

When he reached the other side of the mansion, Zion's eyes widened as it had become a full-blown military training ground. In the open space were men training how to shoot. Some parts were doing a drill, while some were having a one on one combat.

He had only seen such things in the movies. He didn't know such a place really existed and it wasn't even an official military base.

"Did you know? Zia used to train like them as a child?" Inigo smirked as he looked back at Zion.

"And not only train, she had to use it in the field as well at a very, very, young age.. While you were worried about which toy to play with, she was worried if she would get out of the mission alive. Sad, isn't it?"
