"We're lovers."

Devon smiled gently at the thought of it. She didn't think she would have a lover this soon, but she didn't regret giving her heart so soon.

"It may sound foolish and impulsive of me, but I had no slightest regret." She chuckled in a low tone, glancing at the utterly shocked Dion. "I'm happy."

Dion gasped at her blindingly bright smile upon saying her last remarks. "Sis! You and Brother… you two… are lovers?! Like actual lovers and not some kind of show or something? My brother didn't trick you in making you agree with this, right?"

"You always sound like your brother is a lowlife who tricks people." She frowned, a little displeased with his reaction. Shouldn't he congratulate the two of them since he had been rooting for them?

"No, it's not that! I'm just really surprised!" Dion waved his hand profusely before slapping his cheek to get it together.

"How did it happen?" he asked when he regained his composure and faced her.

Devon chewed her food down as she pondered for a moment. "I seduced him."

"I knew my brother will seduce… wait, what?" Again, Dion gasped as he gazed at her with eyes full of doubt. "Sis, did I hear it correctly? It's you who seduced my brother and not the other way around?"

"I think you need to get your ears checked." Devon looked at him worriedly, as he seemed there was something wrong in Dion's ears. If not his ears, she could only blame his slow mental processor.

"Sis, can you blame your cute little brother? It's just… you two are so distant yesterday, and all of a sudden, you're officially dating! Who wouldn't get surprised by that?"

Devon let out a sigh and nodded. "You have a point. Even I am still wondering if this were all real."

"Sis, you know, your expression right now is something I didn't expect," Dion uttered, making her look at him with knitted brows. "It's because I imagined you being nonchalant about it. But you look really happy."

Although Dion was aware that any woman would be happy if they bewitched the one and only Lewis, it still felt surprising that Devon was this happy. It was not the happiness of someone achieving the goal of being together with someone they could brag about, but the type of happiness that was filled with pure joy.

"Because I am happy," Devon admitted, casting him a conflicted look. "There's no reason for me to suppress my emotions like I always did."

'Thanks to a certain ghost, I could express my emotions freely.' She thought, suddenly feeling a little gloomy as Ghost Lin hadn't been dropping by. Devon wanted to tell the news to Ghost Lin and see her reaction.

Dion studied Devon's side profile and nodded. "Right. I rushed here the second I saw my brother's message. Can I eat here?"

"Serve yourself." She nodded and glanced at him, seeing him stand from his seat and walk towards the kitchen.

While Dion was getting his plates, Devon glanced over the phone he left on the table. It was vibrating, so she leaned over to see who it was.

Mike.

"Mike is reaching." Devon raised her voice to inform him.

Dion paused as he shifted his gaze to her. "It's fine. It's probably about the party for tomorrow."

"Oh, right?" She nodded in understanding, ignoring Mike's calls. "I told Lu about the party, I might come."

"What? My brother allowed you to?" Dion asked as he placed the plates and cutlery on the table.

"Is there a reason he would have to restrict me from attending?" she tilted her head to the side, eyebrow raised.

Dion sat on the chair beside her. "Not really. I just didn't expect my brother to let you come with me."

"Personally, I dislike the idea of attending, but it's better to broaden my circle." She shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "Also, I have nothing to do."

"Well." He nodded, like that made sense. Although the entertainment industry was filled with all sorts of people, Mike's circle was decent people. There were only people who were a bit opportunist, but overall, it wasn't a terrible environment.

Again, his phone vibrated again, making Dion frown. "Why is he calling me so early in the morning?"

"It's not so early, though." She uttered as it was already nine in the morning. "Why don't you answer, maybe it is something important?"

Dion rolled his eyes and picked up his phone. Before he answered, he glanced at Devon, who was kind enough to fill his plate with food.

"Sis…" He bit his lower lip with teary eyes. "My sis is so kind."

"This is so you don't make a spectacle out of yourself." Devon chuckled, as she seemed like a big sister, although she was not even certain who was older between the two of them.

Dion only stared at her for a moment before answering the phone. What he didn't notice was that Mike's call was a video call.

"Hey, senior Dion~!" Mike greeted happily, making Dion frown immediately. "We're in the middle of shooting a show, so don't curse. Did you just wake up?"

"Ah. Yes, I was about to have breakfast," Dion answered with a low chuckle. Good thing he didn't curse immediately before Mike informed him about being in the show.

"Senior, say hi to my everyone!" Mike requested as he showed everyone on the other side of the line.

As if changed into a different person, Dion chuckled and greeted everyone. Devon, who was keeping her silence and watching him, cocked her head to the side.

'Who is this person?' she wondered but kept silent just because she thought it was better to do so.

"So I was invited to judge this rap battle in a competition and most of the participants look up to you. I called you today because everyone knew how close we are and I want to brag that I can call you any time." Mike humored, which Devon could hear clearly.

Dion only chuckled as a response, as this was not something new to him. Although Mike wasn't any less popular than Dion, many were curious about the type of relationship they had. So, they took turns in this type of skit for fan services — it was a win-win situation, anyway.

"Kidding aside, do you have any words of wisdom for these aspiring rappers?" Mike cleared his throat as he asked something to boost the morale of the participants and also for the ratings.

"Uh… just enjoy the stage. Although winning is important, they should not forget to enjoy the competition and cherish the memories they make while competing." Dion answered after pondering for a moment.

Of course, his words of wisdom caused a round of applause in Mike's location. They couldn't expect anything less from a very successful artist like Dion.

"Bro, no one told you I will be calling you today, right? You didn't prepare that speech beforehand." Mike teased, causing everyone to laugh.

Dion sported a kind smile. After interrupting his breakfast, Mike had the gall to accuse him of knowing this call. If only Dion knew, he would turn off his phone.

A smug smile turned up on his lips and seeing Mike turning pale was enough for an answer. "Mike, fuck you." And then he cut the line off just like that.

Dion clicked his tongue in annoyance as he tossed his phone on the table. "Fucking Mike. They'd better not air that or I'll release a track dissing everyone."

Just then, he realized Devon was with her, making him turn his attention to her. Devon was just looking at him in silence. He sighed in relief, as they would be in trouble if Devon spoke while he was on the video call.

"Why do you sound so upset?" asked Devon out of curiosity.

"It's just that Mike called me to boost the rating of the show he is part with," Dion grumbled, as he could imagine the show's rating skyrocketing and Dion's name being used as clickbait. "It's not like this is the first time, but it's annoying."

"Why?"

Dion arched a brow. "What do you mean, why?"

"Why is it annoying?"

"Err…" Dion pondered, as he didn't have a clear answer. Calling each other sometimes during their guesting wasn't new, as Mike and Dion were very close in real life, but Dion felt like he had to tread on thin ice.

His eyes landed on Devon, who was staring at him cluelessly. Now he understood why he was annoyed. It was because he had to be careful of scandals with Devon, as they could be misunderstood. If Mike called while shooting the show live, and Devon spoke or was shown in the video call, it would be the end of Dion's career.

Even if his fans would support him, his big brother would surely hang him on the top floor of the Qin Empire's building. Just the thought of it sent a shiver down his spine.

"Hmm?" she hummed, tilting her head to the side while raising her brows as he was just staring at her.

"Sis, I just realized how famous I was."

Devon frowned as she gazed at him with eyes full of criticism. "I pity you."

"Sis, yes, please pity me because I will be in trouble if you and I will be in a scandal.." Dion let out a deep sigh. "Is it because I just realize that now? Why do I have these ominous feelings now?"
