The next day…
Lewis chuckled, watching her busy walk back and forth while wearing his wristwatch. He gazed at the bag she was filling in with a lunch box.
"Perfect." Devon smiled, zipping the lunch bag and held it up to him. "Your lunch."
"Thank you. Today is your first gig. Won't you get late?" he inquired, accepting the lunch box she prepared for him. Devon had woken up an hour before his usual wake-up time to cook him food.
"Right…" Devon shifted her eyes towards the wall clock. As soon as she saw the time, her eyes dilated, and gasped.
"I will wash up quick!" she announced, rushing towards their room to bathe. However, just as she took five steps away from him, Devon sprinted back to him.
Lewis raised his brows before she tugged his tie down and placed a peck on his cheek. "Take care!" and then she dashed away.
His hand reached his cheek, staring at the shut door as a subtle smile appeared on his lips. His eyes then fell on the lunch box she made for him, and he couldn't help but feel moved.
"The last time I brought a lunch box…" His eyes softened. His mother used to prepare his lunch box, but after she passed away, Lewis hadn't enjoyed such things.
"Haha… it's so cute." He lifted the lunch box, staring at it with a smile.
Suddenly, an idea flashed across his head. Lewis fished his phone out and took a photo before sending it to someone. There wasn't a message attached to the message, just a photo.
[From: Chairman Qin
I do not appreciate this kind of message early in the morning. ]
[To: Chairman Qin
My lunch. ]
[ From: Chairman Qin
My grandson, please don't message me anymore. ]
[To: Chairman Qin
Shall I call you? ]
[From: Chairman Qin
Young Master, the chairman, said, "I don't accept calls, I make calls. Scram!" ]
Lewis smiled, knowing that Marshall's assistant was the person who had been replying to whatever his grandfather told him. Still, he wanted to boast that Devon made him lunch because… he was happy and he thought of his grandfather. Sadly, Marshall was bitter about the happiness of his grandson.
"I should arrange a meeting with him soon…" He trailed off, seeing Derek's name on the screen. Without a second hesitation, Lewis picked the call and placed the phone in front of his ear.
"Master, we're outside and the third young master is also here."
"Tell Dion I will drive Devon to CC city. He can go there now or later to pick her up."
"Young Master, your morning schedule is packed." Derek sighed heavily, as this kind of request was starting to get on his nerves. Just because he was good at talking to people every time he had to cancel a meeting, that didn't mean Lewis had to abuse it!
"She made me lunch." Lewis smiled, shifting his eyes back on the lunch box. "It's so cute."
Derek took a deep breath and exhaled sharply, massaging his temple. "I will push back your first meeting."
"Thanks." As soon as the call ended, Lewis waited for Devon to finish up. His eyes barely left the lunch box, sitting on the couch.
"Where have you been?" he snapped his eyes as Devon was talking while exiting the room. "Do you know how worried I was? Also, I've been studying this world and you're correct. This world is vast and I can…"
Devon trailed off upon noticing Lewis on the couch. For a second, the two of them stared at each other in silence.
"Lu… why are you still here?" she asked, breaking the silence between them.
Lewis didn't reply immediately as he glanced at her side, only to see no one. She wasn't even holding a phone.
"Your ghost friend is here?" he queried, seeing her nod.
"Aren't you going to be late?" She asked, bringing a bag with her as she approached him.
"Derek rearranged my schedule. I will drop you off at CC city." Lewis kept glancing to her side, curious about this ghost friend she had been talking about.
Noticing the curiosity in her eyes, Devon smiled. "She is a good friend. I mean the ghost."
"Does ghost look normal?" Lewis threw a follow-up question as he stood up, holding her hand as they walk outside their place.
"Yes." A bright smile appeared on her lips, looking up at him and pointing at herself. "She looks like me if you're curious about what she looks like. We're like twins."
"You?" His brows furrowed but didn't dwell on it too much, as Devon didn't seem she planned to explain why she said such a mind-boggling riddle.
"If you say it so casually like that, he might really find you weird." Ghost Lin commented, snapping her tongue as she floated beside Devon. "But well, it seems he doesn't mind."
Ghost Lin studied Lewis' side profile and could not help but smile. The more she thought about it, the more she understood why Devon fell in love with him. Lewis was just… so smitten with Devon that he didn't question a lot of things.
'Ahh… I feel bad comparing that trash to this god of romance.'

In the end, their setup was, Dion would drive to CC city alone while Devon hitched a ride with Lewis. It took them an hour and a half to reach the said location.
"Oh, this is the place?" Devon checked outside to see many people around. "I wonder if Bella is already here."
"Good luck." Lewis' cheer made her turned her head back to him. "Don't feel too pressured." He sprawled his arms towards her, patting her head lightly.
"I need to feel pressured so I should do good." She argued with a frown, making him chuckle. "I won't learn if you keep spoiling me."
"Can't help it."
"Anyway, don't forget to eat." Devon cleared her throat as she smiled and cast her eyes towards the front passenger seat. "Thank you for taking me here, Assistant Wang, Sir driver."
"Have fun."
"No fun, but work hard," she corrected, casting Lewis a glare as she moved towards the door.
"Wait." Lewis reached for her arm, pulling her lightly as he leaned over, giving her a kiss. "Take care. Don't forget to call me when you have time."
Devon pursed her lips, cheeks blushing. "I will. See you later~!"
With that being said, Devon hitched outside and skipped her steps towards the other car Dion used. Lewis watched her knock on the other car, smiling.
"Wait," He said as their car started moving. A shallow breath slipped past his lips as he stared at Devon. He knew this gig wasn't much, but there's this lingering feeling that Devon would soon become busier than him.
"Young Master,"
"Derek," Lewis called, leaning back and watched Devon and Dion walk away together. "Once she becomes busy, my schedule will be back to normal. I want to celebrate today since it's her first day figuring things out after her accident."
Derek gazed at the window, sighing. "Do you think Miss Lin will be like how she used to be?"
"Maybe? Maybe not." Lewis pressed his lips together, peeling his eyes away from the window. "It's still a surprise that she only thought of having a career now, but she's always like that, right? A woman who hustles."
The car then started moving once again, and Derek glanced at the rear mirror. "Were you unhappy?"
"Strangely, I'm not." Lewis smiled subtly. "Her growth is also my growth. Just make sure people won't mess with her."
"I don't think that job falls on me since the third young master is with her, sir."
"Even so, always be ready, just in case."
"Yes, young master."

"Hey, Bella," Dion called as they entered the tent where Bella was at. The latter's face instantly brightened up as soon as she turned her head in their direction.
"Dev!" she sprung up to her feet, rushing to the entrance. Unlike usual, Bella didn't feel shy in front of Dion. Instead, she only cast him a smile and stood in front of Devon.
"You're here! I'm so happy, I thought you won't come!"
"How can that be?" Devon chuckled, holding Bella's hand. "This will be my first work in this world. I wouldn't miss it in the world."
Bella chuckled, guiding her to one of the chairs around. "So, Brother Dion will stay here the whole day?" she asked once they were seated.
"Well, yes? It's my sis's first day. Even my brother drove her here."
"CEO Qin did?"
Devon nodded, staring at Bella's expression. "Even Assistant Wang is with us."
Bella gasped, covering her lips dramatically. Devon chuckled, as Bella was surely infatuated with Derek.
"I already gave you his contact information. Were you two talking?" Devon leaned in, whispering her inquiry so as not to catch Dion's attention.
"Uhm…" Bella pursed her lips, gazing down. "Truth is… I don't know what to say. I know he is a busy man, and I might interrupt him."
"Why do you think like that?"
"I mean, for someone like him, he will surely find a simple 'hi' annoying, right?"
Devon blinked, tilting her head to the side. "How will you know that if you don't try?"
"Well… should I really…?" Bella trailed off, shifting her eyes towards the entrance of her tent upon hearing someone call her. Just like Bella, Devon also raised her head. As soon as Devon's eyes landed on the man that was by the entrance, her eyes sparkled.
"My friend?"
