Chapter 107

----PHONE CONVERSATION----

"Hello? Takumi?" said the other person on the line.

"Hello, Junichiro, are you free right now? Am I disturbing you or something?" asked Chairman Sato, he knew how busy a person is being a chairman like him.

"No, I just finish a meeting so I'm free right now, why do you ask thou?"

"Well, I heard that you have a doctor who also works in another country. Is he perhaps in the country right now?"

"You mean Dr. Inoue? He's not here rather he just told me that he won't be coming this year since his wife just gave birth to his youngest child. This is why he asked someone else to take over his work here while he does their work there. Why do you ask? Do you need something from Dr. Inoue?"

"I need his help more likely my great-grandson needs his help"

"your great-grandson? Why? what happened?"

"Just an hour ago, Ken rushed his youngest son here in our hospital. After the attending doctor did all of the tests, he just explain to us that my great-grandson needs surgery. But not just any ordinary surgery"

"meaning?"

"…There are some liquid forming in both his heart and brain."

"Hold on, did you say in both his heart and brain?"

"yes"

"That's dangerous! He needs to be operated at soon as possible"

"We know but we don't have a pediatric surgeon who specializes in those fields although I do have doctors in neurosurgeon and Cardio. But you do know how delicate and sensitive a child's body and their system"

"yes, can you wait for a bit? I'll try to call Dr. Inoue right now. I just hope he isn't asleep nor at work"

"thank you," said Chairman Sato. They all wait in silence as Chairman Abe tries to contact Dr. Inoue. Even though Chairman Abe put his mic. on mute Chairman Sato didn't so if any of them said or make a noise it would be heard from the other line.

"Takumi, I have Dr. Inoue on the other line would you or the assigned doctor explain the situation to him," said Chairman Abe as he unmutes his mic. for them to hear. Chairman Sato let Dr. Kirigaya talk to Dr. Inoue as they all listen to what the two doctors are talking about. All of them inside that room are doctors thus they knew what the two are saying even if it was in medical terms.

"Chairman Abe, Chairman Sato, and everyone else in there, as I have said the situation of the child is dangerous but it is manageable for a time being. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do the surgery since I won't be going to country J this year. And even if I am there, I won't be able to do the surgery either since my specialty is general surgery. But just like always whenever I can't go there, I would ask someone else in my stead. The two doctors that will arrive there can do the surgery." said Dr. Inoue. After he discuss everything about the case of Ken's son he knew that he made the right decision of letting Ethan and Dr. Anthony cover for him and his wife.

"wait, if you are not the one who will do the surgery on my son then aren't we wasting time? We should be talking to those doctors who will do the surgery and when are they gonna be here?" asked Ken, after remaining silent he had lost his patience. He only cares about his son at this point, all he wanted to know is that his son would be fine even after that dangerous surgery.

"Dr. Ken Sato right? You are not entirely wasting time here since I will be meeting the other two doctors to let them know the case of your son. They are both experts in their own field, here in Elite A hospital we make sure that even if we have a lot of pediatric surgeons, we want them to have their own specialty. Whenever we don't have any serious cases in the department we will go to our specialized departments like General Surgery, Cardio- Surgeon, Neuro-Surgeon, and many more. You are very lucky right now since the two doctors that will be going there are the exact surgeons that your son needs. One of them is a 3-year Neuro-surgeon while the other one is also a 3-year Cardio-surgeon. The two of them have worked on a lot of cases in both adult and children cases of their own specialty so you don't need to worry"

"I see, then when are those two going to arrive here?" asked Dr. Akifumi

"Next month"

"NEXT MONTH?! Won't my grandson be in a much more dire situation when they arrive" shouted Dr. Sato which shocked everyone.

"I know but both of them have patients and surgeries lined up before they leave our country. However, I will ask them both to adjust their flight and make them go there sooner than scheduled. But to do that I would need to talk to the other heads and PS (pediatric surgeon) who will shoulder the workload of those two so please do give me time. In exchange, I would give Dr. Kirigaya the medication that the boy needs. Don't worry his body is adjusting with the sudden changes that both his brain and heart are going through but he will be fine."

"Then is he going to wake up later?" asked chairman Sato.

"I can't tell for sure but we can hope that he will"

"right, Thank you Dr. Inoue I hope that you would be able to ask the two doctors to go here as soon as possible." Said Dr. Akifumi which was what everyone wanted to say.

"I will do my best to pursue them but in case I might take over the works of Dr. Anthony's and asked if he can go there sooner but in the case of Dr. Ethan, I don't think he would be able to go there soon since he is busy even if he isn't at the hospital. But we'll see what he will say when he got to know the case of your son and since it is a simultaneous surgery that the two of them would need to talk about so once Dr. Anthony is there leave all the talking to him. The two of them had been good friends and colleagues for a long time so they knew each other's temperament."

"Doctor…Ethan?" Ken was taken aback after hearing that name. For five years he has been looking for Ethan in order to apologize but even with the help of Nathan, they couldn't find him.

"Yes, Dr. Ethan Smith"

"Smith…I see" Almost everyone in the room could see the disappointment in Ken's face. All of them knew that Ken has been looking for Ethan behind his wife's back. That is why when they heard that name came out of Dr. Inoue's, they all thought that it was the Ethan that they were looking for.

"Anyway, I need to hang up now. My wife needs my help so..Dr. Kirigaya you can give your contact details to Chairman Abe and he would give you mine. I will contact you again after I have news from my end. I'll hang up now, thank you for considering to hear my opinion." said Dr. Inoue as he hung up after that. The two chairman exchange a few more words before ending that call
