Chapter 63 - Let's Go Party

They were in the middle of another hot makeout session before doing the good deed when Zeng's phone rang and Yul let out a foul curse. Zeng hit him on the chest, moving him aside to attend the call, taking his phone from the nightstand.

He answered the call and wasn't too surprised to hear a mocking greeting, "You were fucking your boyfriend, weren't you?" Meng Zaria stated as a matter of fact.

Zeng sighed, "You are so crude, Zaria."

"Sorry but it's not my fault that you can't take my sass," Zaria shrugged as she sighed a report and closed the case file of her patient to fully concentrate on her friend.

Zeng shook his head in surrender. There was no challenging this woman. She was a force to reckon with.

Though Zeng was a bit irritated to have been interrupted during his private moment with Yul, he wanted to get this over with soon. "Why did you call?"

"Because I missed you," said Zaria.

Zeng's face went the same expression of stoic as Yul's, "We both know well that it's a lie." He said from experience, "You had ghosted me for half a year before, without missing me."

Zaria blushed at her mishap in the past. She had apologized for her irresponsibility but Zeng would conveniently bring it up whenever it suited him.

"I have apologized like a hundred times, okay? Stop being such a prude! Anyways, I have some news. I am accepted for a two years paediatrics oncology research programme in Switzerland!" Zaria squealed through the phone.

"Seriously? Wow, congratulations!" Zeng's face lit up within a second, knowing how big of an opportunity it was for her. "You finally did it! Congrats!"

"Thank you!" Zaria singsonged, "You know, I always wanted to go there. I tried last year too but finally this year, I got accepted.

"I am so happy for you."

"You should be," Zaria tapped her nose with pride. "By the way, I will be leaving on the 27th this month so Xuan Lu jie and I are having a farewell or celebration party thingy, whatever you call it, on 25rd. So be there with your boyfriend. I'll text you the address."

Zeng was ready but he was unsure of Yul's schedule. "Um… I can come but not sure about him. I'll have to ask him."

"You have to bring him," she insisted. "It's going to be huge since it has been a long time since we all had a blast together. The time we all met was the last Pride. I really miss you all." She whined, "You have to attend along with your boyfie. It's more of a party than a farewell."

"Alright, alright. I'll try. See you there."

The call ended.

"Are you free this 25th?" Zeng asked Yul. The police officer looked puzzled.

"25th?" He pondered. "It's Saturday right? Then I should be free by the evening. Why?"

"Remember I told you about Zaria. She got accepted for an internship in Switzerland so there's this party and she invited you too."

"Cool, I will come," he agreed in an instant because right now, there were better things to do, "Now can we please continue?" He literally begged with his joint hands.

Zeng put his phone away after putting it on silent. He laughed and threw his arms around Yul's neck, "Hell yeah!"

….

The day of the party arrived and Zeng and Yul were ready with their fashionable outfits and the gift they would be giving to the hosts. They decided not to go for twining as both had very different fashion senses. Zeng wore a sleek black tuxedo while Yul went with a black turtleneck, of course, with chains on the pockets with a branded, stylish belt.

They arrived there by Zeng's car and parked it underground since they were going to be pretty late.

When they waited for the lift, a couple of girls joined them. When the elevator arrived, they went in. Yul and Zeng left enough space for them and shifted to the side at the back. As always, Yul had taken his place at Zeng's side, whereas Zeng stood between the wall and his boyfriend.

Yul stood with his hands in his pocket, a stance telling others to mind their own business. He was aware of his surroundings and had noticed that the three girls had been eyeing them from the beginning and giggling in the group. To him, they looked like a bunch of college going teenagers and so he ignored them.

"Excuse me, gege," one of them dared to ask, "Are you an idol?"

"No," Yul answered shortly. Zeng smirked as he pretended to look at his watch.

A few seconds passed and the second one commented, "Gege, you are so handsome."

"Thank you," Yul replied with a polite nod. Zeng was quite enjoying Yul's helplessness, that was until another one questioned and he almost lost his footing.

"Gege, can I have your number?"

"No." Came a quick, stern response. The giggling and gossiping stopped at once. The elevator went silent.

Yul did not even turn to look at them and kept staring at the door. At this point, he was eagerly waiting for the elevator door to bing and send them to their destination. Zeng secretly snickered at the quick rejection. He felt bad for the poor girl but Yul could be brutal at times. Zeng bumped his shoulders, asking him to not be rude. Yul just shrugged innocently.

The elevation thankfully came to a halt and the door opened. Yul cleared his throat to let the girl covering the exit know.

"Please excuse us. My boyfriend and I need to get out."

For emphasis, Yul took Zeng's hands and walked out of the elevator, holding it. Zeng's expression mirrored that of those girls whom he caught a glimpse of before the doors closed; wide eyed and mouth hanging.

"Yul!" Zeng scolded, upon finding his voice back. "W-Why did you-"

He was cut off as squealing was heard from inside the elevator which faded as it took off. Zeng wanted the ground to swallow him. This was so embarrassing.

"Looks like those girls were happy to hear that, hm?" Yul challenged smugly.

Zeng elbowed him for the bluntness and Yul grunted at the jab, but chuckled nonetheless.. He followed Zeng when the doctor could not handle the blush and walked away.
