The next day during breakfast, Lu Jinhai wanted to ask his kids how their meeting with Wen's kids went.
The previous night Lu Lian didn't talk properly, and Lu Lijun returned late that no one had a chance to speak with them.
"How was your meeting with Wen Zac?" Lu Jinhai asked.
"It was fine," she replied, not looking at her father and lowering her head to eat food.
"What do you think about him?" Lu Jinhai asked again.
She kept looking down while chewing food, "Seems a nice man."
"Let her eat in peace. What's so hurry?" Elder Lu interrupted.
"I just want to know her opinion," Lu Jinhai countered.
"What opinion do you expect in just one meeting? Let her take time," Elder Lu said as he raised his voice again.
Lu Jinhai nodded to what his father said and looked at his daughter, "I'm not forcing you for anything. Take your time. If you don't want to, you can say no."
Lu Lian nodded again lightly.
Lu Jinhai looked at Lu Lijun, "What I said to Lian, it's for you too. No one is forcing you."
"I know," Lu Lijun said and continued eating.
Seeing him not so serious, Lu Jinhai spoke again, "Don't do anything that's not good for her. She is the daughter of one family."
Lu Lijun nodded lightly, and elder Lu spoke again, "Don't you trust your son?"
"I do, but warning him is my duty. I don't want him to do anything that will affect her. She is still young."
Lu Jinhai looked like a strict father, unlike his calm self where he listened to others, especially his father elder Lu, but this time, his stubborn son forced him to change.
"Don't worry, father," Lu Lijun assured.
"I heard you hurt your hand," Ning Jiahui said, looking at her son.
Lu Lijun looked at the Butler. The previous night when Lu Lijun returned, Butler noticed it. He understood Butler must have told it to his mother.
The Butler bowed slightly, not minding the glare he got from the fourth young master.
"It was just a small accident," Lu Lijun informed.
"Let me check once you finish breakfast," Ning Jiahui instructed.
After breakfast, when they went to the living room, everyone was in a hurry to go to the office, but Ning Jiahui didn't forget what she said to her son.
"Let me check," Ning Jiahui said to him.
Knowing his mother won't let it pass, Lu Lijun removed his suit jacket and then pulled his right hand's sleeve up.
"It's fine now," he said.
"It's not fine. See how bad it looks. Haven't you applied anything?" she asked worriedly, looking at the burned spot on the white skin where the skin turned darker and would peel off soon.
"I did. It would be fine soon," he assured.
"Let me apply something," she insisted.
"I'm getting late for the office. I'll do it there," he assured, but Ning Jiahui didn't trust him.
Jiang Yuyan, who passed by them to go out, Ning Jiahui called her.
"Yuyan."
Jiang Yuyan turned to look at her mother-in-law.
"Make sure he will apply something on it," Ning Jiahui instructed.
Jiang Yuyan nodded slightly and left. Lu Lijun too left. Sitting inside the car, as the driver drove away, Lu Lijun touched his hand as the light smile painted on his lips.
"Next time, should I hurt both hands?" He mumbled.
"Did the fourth young master say something?" the driver asked.
"Nothing."

Wen's residence.
Liwei was in her room, ready to go out, but her sight fell on the shopping bag she brought with her the previous day.
"Ahh, I almost forgot about it," mumbling to herself, she picked up the bag from the couch and pulled out the white shirt from it, which had stains of coffee.
She unfolded it and checked the stains but then remembered the moment how Lu Lijun protected her from getting burned, not even caring for himself.
When the burn must hurt a lot, he showed as if it was nothing and bore the pain. He didn't even know her, but he still did it for her, and she found it impressive.
Sighing, she sat on the couch as she looked at the shirt, "Mr. Ice cold, you are not that cold as you show." she smiled and then remembered how Lu Lijun held her closer.
It startled her as he could feel her heart beating a bit faster.
"What's this?" she mumbled, patting her chest.
When that incident happened, she was startled, not knowing what had suddenly happened. Then she noticed Lu Lijun was hurt, so at that time, this closeness didn't affect her, but as she remembered it again, she couldn't control her heart.
"I think my heart lost its mind," she mumbled and put that shirt back in the bag as she spoke, "You are better in a bag and then back to your owner once you clean," she talked to the shirt as a light smile painted on her lips.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in."
Wen Zac, who was ready in the suit to go to the office, entered the room.
"Are you coming to the office?" Wen Zac asked.
"I have to, or our father would nag me again," she stood up.
Wen Zac smiled, "He just needs a reason to see you in front of his eyes as you are back after so long."
Getting her bag, she stepped towards wen Zac, "And what about brother?" she asked.
"I want the same that's why you would be working with me," he said.
It made her happy, "That means I'm saved from father."
"I'll do my best. Trust me," Wen Zac winked at her as the two smiled and stepped out.
The siblings left for work together. On the way, Liwei asked, "How did your meeting go with my sister-in-law?"
"While ago, father asked the same, and now you started," he sighed.
"Tell me,"
"It was good. She is a good person," Wen Zac replied.
"That's it?" she asked.
"Then what more do you need to see in person?" Wen Zac countered.
"I mean, when you talk about a girl, you say she is pretty... And…."
"Everyone knows she is pretty. Haven't you all seen her," Wen Zac replied.
Liwei sighed in disappointment as she rolled her eyes, "Now I know why father is so worried about you. He knows his son is not at all romantic and can't get the girl on his own."
"I just need to be romantic to the one I would like and not to everyone," he countered.
She glared at her brother, who looked unbothered with the talk.
"This is the problem. When exactly would you like someone?"
Wen Zac just smiled and patted her head, "Don't worry about me. Tell me about your date."
"It was not a date," she denied.
"Okay, how was it?"
"Well, not bad. He is good," she said.
"That means you liked him," Wen Zac concluded.
"When a man saves you, isn't it a normal thing to like him a bit," she asked.
Wen Zac nodded, "I heard it. I hope it was not bad, or you would have to face president Lu."
Hearing Jiang Yuyan's name, Liwei turned curious, "President Lu, is she that scary?" Liwei asked.
"Not much, but she is when it comes to Lu Lijun," Wen Zac replied.
"It's good if she comes after me. I like her. I wish if I was a guy, how much I would have tried to hit on her. I pity all the men who can't even dare to approach her."
Wen Zac gave her finger flick on the forehead, "Silly."
"Ouchh, brother. I'm just saying it for fun. I'm only interested in men."
Wen Zac laughed a little, "Does it hurt."
"Of course it hurts," she said in a whining voice.
"Let me see," Wen Zac checked the light pinking bruise on her forehead and caressed it with the thumb to make her feel better.
"By the way, would I get to see President Lu?" Liwei asked.
"Whenever there is any meeting," Wen Zac replied and asked, "Shouldn't you be asking about lu Lijun?"
"I'm more interested in the lady. I wish to see how she works and rule over everyone. One day I might use it."
"You learn from your experiences and not from others." Wen Zac said, "You better focus on what you want to do."
The talk between the two continued till they reached the office where the sister wouldn't stop asking about Jiang Yuyan, and the brother didn't mind answering her.
