Ming Rusheng's office.
Elder Ming went to see his grandson, who didn't return home the previous night after his blind date.
Ming Rusheng's assistant welcomed elder Ming and took him to Ming Rusheng's office.
"Morning, Grandpa," Ming Rusheng greeted, who sat in his chair, ready to start the work.
"Morning. I'm here to ask you something," Elder Ming informed and sat on the couch.
Ming Rusheng knew what his grandpa intended to ask and spoke, "The girl was nice but not my type. So it's a no."
"What's your type then?" Elder Ming asked.
"When I'll find one, grandpa will get to know," Ming Rusheng replied.
"Even Lian was not your type; then I don't know what you like in a girl," Elder Lu mumbled.
There was a knock on the door, and Lu Lian entered the office carrying one file.
She saw the elder Ming and smiled, "Morning, Grandpa."
Ming Rusheng always noticed how she smiled at his grandpa while gave him a cold glare. 'Old man is fortunate one when I still wait to get that smile from her.'
"Come here," elder Lu instructed.
"Yes, grandpa, just give a minute." Saying she went to Ming Rusheng and put the file on his table. "I have made changes Mr. Ming asked for."
The two behaved normally as if nothing happened between them the previous night.
Ming Rusheng picked up the file, and Lu Lian went to elder Ming.
"Have a seat," Elder Ming offered, and Lu Lian sat opposite to him.
"My friend told me about you and Wen Zac," Elder Ming said, and Lu Lian sat quietly.
Elder Ming continued, "I've known him since he was a kid. He is a nice man."
Lu Lian agreed, "He is."
Hearing she agreed to his grandpa, Ming Rusheng's ears turned attentive to their conversation.
"Glad to know you think the same," elder Ming commented and added, "He is Rusheng's friend. If you want any help or want to know more about Wen Zac, you can ask Rusheng."
Lu Lian nodded again. "I will."
Seeing her agreeing to it, Elder Ming laughed a little, "Seems like you already liked him."
Lu Lian didn't say no and just smiled lightly. Ming Rusheng noticed it, and he clenched the file in his hand.
"Ms. Lu should focus more on work when she is in office," Ming Rusheng commented in a calm but cold tone.
Elder Ming glared at him, "She is talking to me."
Ming Rusheng looked back at elder Ming as the two gave each other mocking gazes. "Grandpa should stop disturbing employees during their work hours."
Lu Lian stood up, "Grandpa, I'll get back to work."
Elder Ming nodded and asked, "Are you meeting him again?"
She nodded and was about to leave, but there was a loud noise in the office.
THUD!!
Ming Rusheng tossed the file on the table, which Lu Lian gave him a while ago, and said coldly. "Ms. Lu, make these corrections again."
She looked at him questioningly, "Is there any mistake again?"
He leaned back in the chair, looking calm as he stared at her. "There are a lot. Ms. Lu needs to focus more on work. I want this ready by today."
Lu Lian went to the table, picked up the file, and opened it, "Where?"
"Do I need to point out everything? Go through the entire file and find it yourself," He countered, his voice and face looked calm but eyes cold.
"I'll do it." She turned to leaven, showing she was not affected by whatever he did.
He spoke again, "If Ms. Lu can't finish it during office hours, I don't mind you staying in the office and finishing it. No privileges for the employees in work even if they are family."
Lu Lian clenched her fists which held the file. His meaning was clear that she took advantage of being a family friend and didn't work properly.
Saying calmly while suppressing her anger, she spoke, "I'll keep it in mind, Mr. Ming."
She left, not willing to see him even for a moment.
Elder Lu saw all this and spoke, "Why are you so rude to her?"
"I'm like this with all the employees. Grandpa should not be concerned over it," Ming Rusheng said.
Elder Ming frowned, "Good that she will resign. At least she will be free and can think about getting married instead of working for a boss like you."
"Why is grandpa so excited about her marriage? Shouldn't he think about his granddaughter?"
"I want to, but both my grandkids are not obedient. Let me at least fulfill my wishes with my friend's grandkids. I wish Lian to get married to Wen Zac, and my friend and I can at least see one wedding before we die."
"Let her focus on work. We have important projects going on," said Ming Rusheng.
Elder Ming sighed. "You don't want to marry her but want to keep her by your side; this is not the way to show your love," Elder Ming said out of the blue that startled Ming Rusheng.
"It's not like that…."
"Lie to someone else. If you don't want to marry her, you have no right to stop her," elder Ming commented and stood up to go, "You will regret it."
"Grandpa…."
"I'm done talking," Elder Ming interrupted him and left.
Ming Rusheng didn't know what to do. He was already affected by seeing Lu Lian with someone else even though that man was his friend. He was prepared to let her go but never thought that moment would come so soon.

Jiang Yuyan's office.
"Did you take care of what I instructed?" Jiang Yuyan asked.
"I did, but fourth young master was busy," Xiao Min instructed.
"Not busy but stubborn," she mumbled.
Time passed by, but Lu Lijun didn't show up.
"Is he still busy?" Jiang Yuyan asked.
Xiao Min nodded.
Jiang Yuyan got up and went to Lu Lijun's office, where Lu Lijun and Noah both were busy working.
Seeing her, Noah stood up and bowed while Lu Lijun looked at her questioningly to know why she was there.
She straightaway went to Lu Lijun on his side of the table and spoke, "Remove your jacket."
It startled both men in the office as it sounded something unusual.
Noah turned to leave while Lu Lijun continued staring at her questioningly.
"Is my instruction that difficult to understand?" she asked.
Noah heard it when she left the office and smiled for his friend, who was caught off guard due to the sudden demand of the lady.
Lu Lijun stood up, "What for?"
Jiang Yuyan picked up the ointment from the table which Xiao Min brought and showed it to him.
"I'll do it later," he said.
"I don't have much time." She opened the lid of ointment, and Lu Lijun ended up taking off his jacket.
Lu Lijun didn't know why but he wished to listen to her. The way she ordered him, he liked it.
Once he removed the jacket, Jiang Yuyan held his arm, unbuttoned the sleeve, and rolled it up to his elbow.
When she was busy doing it, Lu Lijun was staring at her. Somewhere this was what exactly he wanted and didn't apply the ointment on his own. As if his wish was fulfilled, he smiled a little.
Once she was done, Jiang Yuyan instructed while securing his folded sleeve, "Keep it rolled up or....."
"You don't need to worry about....."
"I'm just following mother's instruction," she interrupted him.
It angered him. He thought she came because she was worried for him but in the end, she was just following his mother's instructions.
He pulled his hand back and said coldly, "You can leave."
Jiang Yuyan turned and left while Lu Lijun glared at the door, folding the other sleeve up.
