As soon as Shan Yi walked in, she saw them. She didn’t plan to go over and disturb them, but Shen Tiantian was different. Seeing them, she eagerly went over to say hello, and it was too late for Shan Yi to stop her. Recently, this person had become a bit too spoiled.
Tian Jing was startled, not expecting to run into acquaintances so far from the company, especially Shan Yue’s family and her former subordinates.
Shen Tiantian smiled, “What a coincidence.”
“Yeah, what a coincidence,” Tian Jing replied.
Compared to Shen Tiantian, Shan Yue was much calmer, but she still gave her a glare. It was annoying to have their date suddenly interrupted.
“Do you want to sit together?” Shen Tiantian asked.
Shan Yue gave her niece a look, signaling her to quickly take Shen Tiantian away.
Shan Yi almost facepalmed. She tightened her grip on Shen Tiantian’s hand, “You two enjoy your meal. We’ll sit somewhere else.”
Shen Tiantian wanted to say more, but Shan Yi had already pulled her away, saying helplessly, “They just reconciled. Let’s not disturb them.”
“I was wrong.” Reminded by her wife, Shen Tiantian suddenly realized and then pouted in frustration. “Why am I so impulsive lately…”
Shan Yi chuckled and pinched her nose, “Maybe it’s because you’re about to give birth, and you’re feeling anxious.”
Shen Tiantian thought about it and felt there might be some truth to that.
“Alright, let’s order. Don’t dwell on it.”
Shen Tiantian took the menu her wife handed over, looked through it, and ordered two cooked dishes: tonpeiyaki1Pork belly and cabbage omelette and tempura.
Shan Yi, being more easygoing, ordered oden and potato beef stew.
After ordering, Shen Tiantian felt a bit restless again. She leaned over to Shan Yi’s ear and said, “Honey, I need to go to the bathroom.”
“I’ll go with you.”
Shen Tiantian’s belly was getting bigger, and sometimes she would get sudden cramps even while sleeping. She was swollen all over, so Shan Yi naturally didn’t feel comfortable letting her go alone.
The restroom was on the second floor, and the stairs were a bit narrow. Shan Yi had to stay behind her to prevent her from falling.
When they returned to their table, two dishes were already served. They were the ones Shan Yi ordered, looking very appetizing.
As the rest of the dishes arrived, Shen Tiantian enjoyed being fed by her wife, looking very satisfied. She even wanted to drink some wine, but Shan Yi sternly refused and gave her a little lecture.
It was almost winter, and the weather in the south was still unpredictable. Today was quite cold, so having a bit of alcohol to warm up would be nice. But given Shen Tiantian’s current condition, she wasn’t allowed to drink, not even milk tea.
Shen Tiantian just wanted to tease her wife and didn’t really want to drink. After being lectured, she dropped the idea.
“It’s great to have a wife who’s a gynecologist,” Shen Tiantian sighed.
Shan Yi was puzzled, “???”
Shen Tiantian explained, “Because if I want to eat something, and she says it’s okay to eat, I can have it.”
Shan Yi crossed her arms, “Then should I go study gynecology?”
Shen Tiantian shrank her neck, immediately giving in, “I was just saying.”
Shan Yi affectionately tapped her nose, “Are you still eating?”
“No, I’m full.”
“Then let’s go. I’ll take you home.”
“Home? Not going back to the office?” Shen Tiantian asked, puzzled.
Shan Yi replied, “No, I’m going home to take a nap with you.”
Shen Tiantian’s eyes lit up as she wrapped her arms around Shan Yi’s neck and smiled sweetly, “Honey, why are you so good to me?”
Shan Yi took the opportunity to give her a kiss. “Because you’re my wife.”
“Mm… there’s still the taste of tonpeiyaki,” Shen Tiantian said, sticking out her tongue and licking the spot where Shan Yi had kissed her.
Shan Yi’s eyes suddenly turned deep. Ever since Shen Tiantian’s belly had grown, it had been about a month since they had been intimate. Being teased every day without satisfaction was extremely frustrating. If it weren’t for the fact that they were in a public place, Shan Yi was sure she would have pounced on her right then and there.
She had already decided to take Shen Tiantian on a honeymoon after their daughter was born to enjoy some quality time together.
“Let’s go home,” Shan Yi’s voice became huskier.
Shen Tiantian didn’t notice her wife’s change in demeanor. She hooked her arm around Shan Yi’s and walked out, her eyes unconsciously glancing towards the spot where they had seen her aunt earlier, only to find it empty.
“When did they leave…”
Shan Yi: …
You want to disturb them again?!
Once in the car, Shen Tiantian let Shan Yi buckle her seatbelt while she gazed out the window. She spotted Shan Yue and Tian Jing again.
“They’re holding hands!” Shen Tiantian exclaimed as if discovering a new continent, shaking Shan Yi’s hand excitedly.
Shan Yi started the car, amused, “They’ve reconciled, so isn’t it normal for them to hold hands?”
“Are you starting to find my gossiping annoying?”
“No.”
Shen Tiantian immediately beamed with joy.
A wave of drowsiness hit her, and she fell asleep in the car before they even got home.
Feeling sleepy after eating had become her routine for the past half month. Although Shan Yue had advised her to exercise more, her belly had grown so large that it was inconvenient to do anything. She was too lazy to even get up, let alone move. If it weren’t for Shan Yi going to work, she could have stayed indoors for a month.
Shen Tiantian’s weight had soared in the past few months, and Shan Yi could no longer carry her. When they got home, she had to wake her up, much to her reluctance.
Shen Tiantian had only been asleep for a short while and was still groggy when woken up. By the time Shan Yi parked the car, she was almost hanging onto her.
Mother Shan thought Shen Tiantian was unwell and was very worried.
Shan Yi explained, “She’s just sleepy.”
Mother Shan, both annoyed and amused, urged them to go to their room to rest, not forgetting to nag a bit, “I told you not to take her to work. Look how tired she is.”
Shan Yi could only silently accept her mother’s complaints.
Back in their room, as soon as Shen Tiantian lay down, she suddenly woke up, her eyes bleary as if she were drunk. She looked aggrieved and said, “I feel uncomfortable…”
Shan Yi’s heart skipped a beat, “Where do you feel uncomfortable?”
“Here,” Shen Tiantian pointed to her chest.
Shan Yi found it both amusing and concerning, her voice low and husky, “Let me massage it for you.”
……
Shen Tiantian woke up in Shan Yi’s arms. Neither of them were wearing clothes, so she had to lie on her side, facing Shan Yi. However, her large belly prevented them from being closer.
Looking at the still-sleeping Shan Yi, the crazy scenes from the afternoon started flooding her mind, causing Shen Tiantian to blush instantly. Her actions seemed like she was seducing Shan Yi.
After a month without sex, they were both very passionate. As Shan Yi had mentioned, Shen Tiantian felt very comfortable. Despite the occasional reminder of the presence of the little one in her belly, the experience was harmonious overall.
The sky outside had already darkened. Shen Tiantian carefully reached for her phone and checked the time. It was past six o’clock. Seeing that Shan Yi showed no signs of waking up, Shen Tiantian gave a mischievous smile. After stretching her neck to give Shan Yi a kiss, she suddenly pinched Shan Yi’s high nose.
Shan Yi, who was sleeping, suddenly felt difficulty breathing. She slowly opened her eyes and, with a helpless smile, grabbed Shen Tiantian’s wrist, kissed it, and asked, “Want to go again?”
Hearing this, Shen Tiantian quickly pulled her hand back, clutched the blanket to her chest, and said with a blushing face, “I just wanted to wake you up for dinner.”
“Mm, I know, don’t be nervous,” Shan Yi chuckled, getting out of bed stark naked.
Shen Tiantian screamed and covered her face with both hands, “Ah!!”
Shan Yi laughed, “It’s not like you haven’t seen it before. You even touched it this afternoon.”
“That’s different!”
“How is it different?”
“It just is,” Shen Tiantian tried to defend herself, feeling embarrassed now but also a bit voyeuristic. She couldn’t help but admire her wife’s body, which was perfectly toned with no excess fat. Her long, straight legs stood in stark contrast to her own shorter, rounder figure, especially with her big belly making her waddle like a penguin. Shen Tiantian sighed, her mind full of the memory of certain sensations.
Thinking about this made her ears turn red, but she couldn’t close her fingers, still watching intently as Shan Yi put on her loungewear. She pretended to be annoyed by the exposure but felt regret once it was covered up.
Shan Yi, unaware of her wife’s fantasies, handed her a long T-shirt similar to hers, “Get up, let me help you dress. No need for a bra.”
Due to the pregnancy, Shen Tiantian’s chest had grown larger, and the new bras she bought recently were already tight, leaving red marks on her skin after half a day. This pained Shan Yi.
“I don’t want to wear a bra, but Dad and Shan Xu are here. I’d feel embarrassed.” Shen Tiantian was used to not wearing a bra around her wife but felt awkward in front of others.
“Got it,” Shan Yi reluctantly fetched a bra for her. While comparing the width, she said, “I should get you some new bras. These don’t fit anymore.”
Shen Tiantian didn’t say anything, allowing Shan Yi to help her dress. The bra was indeed too small, sometimes making her feel itchy and uncomfortable.
After getting dressed, they went downstairs and coincidentally ran into Shan Xu entering the house through the foyer, followed by an imposing man. Shen Tiantian widened her eyes and instinctively turned to look at her wife. What was going on?! She had heard that Shan Xu had someone he liked recently, but he hadn’t mentioned it was a man. Had the whole family gone crazy, finding same-sex partners?
Shen Tiantian’s mouth almost dropped open. Mother Shan came out of the kitchen, smiling warmly as she greeted the man behind Shan Xu, showing she knew him well. Before they could make a move, Shan Xu and the man walked over, and Shan Xu introduced him as Jing Feng. He worked in advertising, and his company had gone public with several branches in City A alone.
Shan Yi didn’t concern herself with Shan Xu’s romantic affairs, considering they were all adults. Shen Tiantian, as the sister-in-law, silently sized up Jing Feng, getting the impression he treated Shan Xu well. Compared to their calm reactions, Father Shan was less pleased, primarily because Shan Xu was the family’s only son. Though he voiced some objections, he wasn’t stuck in old ways of thinking. He mildly challenged Jing Feng during dinner, but the meal ended without any major issues.
Shen Tiantian was still in shock for a long time, muttering, “Shan Xu is actually with a man.”
Shan Yi responded, “Now that same-sex marriage is legal, many more people are openly marrying the same sex. It’s not something scandalous or hard to accept anymore.”
“That does make sense.”
Shan Yi laughed, pulling Shen Tiantian into her arms and whispering, “Just like you and me, love doesn’t care if it’s a man or a woman.”
Shen Tiantian looked at her wordlessly, “You, as his sister, are quite open-minded.”
“What’s there to worry about? He’s an adult and responsible for his own decisions. Love is unpredictable; feelings matter the most,” Shan Yi said calmly. “Enough about them. Let’s go take a bath and get some sleep. The baby is probably tired too.”
“We just woke up.”
Shan Yi smiled, “We still need to bathe first.”
“Okay, okay.” Shen Tiantian had just sat on the bed but resignedly got up and headed to the bathroom.
