Shi Yu’s attention was focused on the little girl in his arms. He barely noticed Jiang ChengLi had come over until he turned around to get a drink of water, and saw that he had been standing behind him for a long time. Shi Yu was surprised by him. “What are you doing here?” Then he asked, “Isn’t there a birthday party today? Is it okay to come here?”

Jiang ChengLi smiled at him. “Finished early. I was a little uneasy about you so I rushed over.”

After all, an omega and a little girl who rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night was more or less unsettling. Shi Yu looked at Jiang ChengLi’s not too thick white jacket and hesitantly said, “You didn’t actually need to come here. Your birthday is so important.”

It’s because it’s important that I want to be with you.

Jiang ChengLi said nothing. He sat down beside him and looked at the little girl he held. She was sleeping with her eyebrows knitted. “Are you tired?”

Shi Yu wasn’t feeling much, but when Jiang ChengLi said that, he definitely felt his hands were a little sore.

Jiang ChengLi saw the slight change in his expression and reached out to take her from his arms. Perhaps because of the difference in smell between the alpha and omega, Alice’s eyes soon opened and she made a vague sound of discontent.

Shi Yu worriedly tried to take the little girl back. To his surprise, Alice just muttered then threw herself into Jiang ChengLi’s arms, and lay stickily on his shoulder.

Shi Yu felt that she would be an omega in her future differentiation.

“You rest first. I’ll help you hold her for a while.” Jiang ChengLi said quietly, then slowly continued. “Keep your voice down, Don’t wake her up.” Which blocked Shi Yu’s words.

Shi Yu rubbed his shoulders and slightly numb arms, then whispered, “Thank you. Happy birthday.”

Jiang ChengLi smiled. Shi Yu looked at his sister in his arms and got lost in thought.

Jiang ChengLi was the only son of the Jiang family. Based on his identity, he hadn’t appeared to be able to take care of people, but his posture as he held Alice was much more skilled than his own.

He was curious. Then he heard as Jiang ChengLi suddenly spoke, “The transition of the student council is complete. I’ve stepped down.”

Shi Yu was stunned and said, “It’s been a hard year for the President.”

Jiang ChengLi looked at him. “It’s not hard to take care of you.”

Shi Yu’s heart beat faster. He evaded his eyes, and changed the subject. “Soon it will be our senior year, ah.”

Jiang ChengLi saw he was avoiding him, and followed along. “Mn. Have you decided which university to enter?”

Shi Yu said yes. Jiang ChengLi smiled and said to cheer up. When the time came, after the college entrance examination they would get together again, and their hearts would too.

Shi Yu hesitated for a long time. Slowly, he pushed out of his throat the questions he had about Jiang ChengLi at this time. “I think, President, that you seem to have changed a bit.”

“It’s not ‘President’ anymore. You can call me by my name.” Jiang ChengLi smiled. “What has changed, Shi Yu?”

Shi Yu was abruptly called by his name, and instinctively wasn’t very comfortable with it. He slowly tried to figure out the wording, then said, “I don’t know. You just give me the feeling of change…Maybe because you’re an adult.”

“If I remember correctly, you were born in October?”

Shi Yu’s file said October 9th.

“Maybe by that day, you’ll be different too.”

Shi Yu hadn’t quite understood Jiang ChengLi’s words and was about to ask further questions when Alice woke up. She looked at the person who was holding her in a daze, and then slowly rounded her eyes.

Shi Yu warmly reassured her. “I’m here.”

Alice was relieved to see her family around and gradually pulled away from Jiang ChengLi. He probably realized she was shy and gently put her on the ground. The little girl ran behind Shi Yu, held his wrist and looked timidly at Jiang ChengLi.

Shi Yu touched her forehead and it felt a bit cooler. He asked, “Are you hungry? Do you want to go eat something?”

The little girl nodded yes. Shi Yu picked her up and looked back at Jiang ChengLi. “Want to eat something together?”

Jiang ChengLi said yes, then thoughtfully summoned a car and directed it to a nearby restaurant.

Shi Yu got in the car and called Shi Lan. After he reported that Alice was safe, Shi Yu listened to his mother’s explanation.

Jiang ChengLi saw that the little girl had been staring at him, and casually opened an unplayed game on his phone for her. Alice was very interested in this, and played with the phone while she leaned a little in the direction of Jiang ChengLi. She also took the initiative to talk to him.

Shi Yu carefully wrote down all the things Shi Lan told him and gave his word that he would take care of the girl before he hung up the phone. Then he turned around to see her and Jiang ChengLi were laughing and talking about the game.

The neon light outside the car window fell on Jiang ChengLi’s profile and outlined all of the different shades. The lines were a little cold, but because he was smiling, it was very nice. Jiang ChengLi noticed his line of sight and slowly raised his eyes to meet Shi Yu’s. Then he found that omega hadn’t avoided him as usual, but looked at him and smiled.

Like a fox that had been cultivating for a long time, he cast a spell on him with the most seductive innocence, causing a boundless and terrible desire to arise in a moment.

“What are you looking at?” Jiang ChengLi whispered.

Shi Yu glanced away. “You’re quite nice to people younger than you.”

“Is that so? You’ve been so indifferent to me before?” Jiang ChengLi pondered seriously. “So that proves I’m not attractive enough?”

Shi Yu laughed in disbelief. “Don’t talk nonsense.”

On the surface, it appeared light and breezy, but in reality, it somehow tickled his palms. He found that Jiang ChengLi was very good at talking. It was like he could make people guess whether he had some weight in his heart through a sentence without even thinking about it.

But this was only a novel discovery for Shi Yu. He wasn’t going to look into it.

When they arrived at the restaurant, Jiang ChengLi took the little girl to her seat. He then went to the bathroom while Shi Yu was looking through the menu and selecting what the little patient could eat.

Alice was tired of playing the mini-game, and curiously switched out. She was trying to open another game when she touched the photo album next door. She panicked, because she knew that it wasn’t good manners to look through other people’s privacy, and was anxious to cut back to the desktop when her fingertips froze.

Vecause she found all of Jiang ChengLi’s albums were pictures of Shi Yu.

“You need to avoid eating when you are sick. See if you can have these dishes.” Shi Yu had just handed over his menu when he saw Alice was clicking on a video.

The person in the video was being held by the wrist and pressed into a sofa. The voice in the video was Jiang ChengLi’s and his hoarse question, “Little omega, what do you want to do?”

Shi Yu felt as if his blood was stagnant for a moment, and was gradually becoming cold. He quickly backed out of the screen and pressed on the main screen, then he met the eyes of the little girl sitting across from him.

The sick Alice turned paler and said, “You’re scaring me.”

Shi Yu breathed a sigh of relief. “I’m sorry.”

Just as he was trying to find a topic to resolve the awkward atmosphere, the little girl lowered her eyes and whispered, “The person in the video just now was you, gege. Wasn’t it?”
