Chapter 135 - I thought you were a man

Sky had complex thoughts in her mind. She knew her biological mother was very weak after giving birth to her, she couldn't recuperate and took her last breath in the hospital.

Many times she blamed herself, if not because of her, she would be fine. Now after knowing she looked like her mother, she was happy because David loved his wife dearly and her face would remind him about his loved one.

But one thing always haunted her was whether her father left her in the Barton house because was he blaming her for Amie's death? as he never visited her even once until she turned twenty-one. But she didn't dare to ask him thinking truth may hurt her and David.

After seeing the picture, She got all kinds of thoughts to mind, She wanted to know answers to many questions and she also wasn't ready to listen to the answers. But she wanted to know her name.

She took a deep breath and asked, "What is her full name?" She kept her eyes on the photo.

"Lass! You know that, Amie Harley." David expected her to be happy after seeing the picture but seeing her indifferent look, he felt worse.

"I asked her real name." Her voice turned cold hearing him say her changed name from which she wouldn't get any information.

David turned around to leave, George stopped him and answered Sky, "It's Milton, Amie Milton."

Sky took her phone and messaged Sam.

"I want to know everything about Amie Milton by the end of the day."

She received a reply swiftly, it had an 'OK' symbol. She sighed and raised her head and saw the serious atmosphere. She noticed the foul mood of David.

She passed the picture to Loran and walked towards David. "Mr.David Harley"

Everybody turned to her in shock. Sky stood in front of David by keeping her hands on her waist and continued with a cheeky smile, "You always said your wife looks prettier than me, I look better than her." She stuck her tongue out playfully.

David sighed loudly and held her ear, "That's because you look like her."

"Ouch, ahh Dad, It hurts." Sky acted like crying.

George held her other ear, "You dare call your dad by his name. Is this what I taught?"

"Ouch ouch, It is really hurting now." Sky whined. Loran enjoyed seeing her whine.

Jai strode towards them and pulled her back, "That's enough." Sky smiled and hid behind him peeking at them. "My brother is still the best,"

George and David shook their heads and smiled. Loran looked depressed.

"Brother Jai, you are so unfair. You never save me from Dad. Why are you saving her?" Loran glared at Sky and Jai,

Sky had a confused expression, "Dumbo, I thought you were a man, Why do you want Brother Jai to save you?"

Sky simply wanted to defend Jai, But everybody was at a loss of words. Loran's lips twitched, "Sister Sky! I am still a man. hmph"

Everybody burst into laughter. "Okay okay, Dad and mom will give red pockets now." Sky announced and looked at George and Georgia.

Three took their red pockets, Loran and Sky stood in front Jai and looked at him innocently. Jai couldn't look at their puppy eyes and gave in after five minutes.
