Sky widened her eyes in shock and looked at Loran, who had his head lowered to avoid looking at anybody. She started to worry about how he would be feeling.
Peter continued, "But luckily she ended up with the company who are on good terms with Chairman Harley. They called him to confirm about it and dropped the stories on Chairman Harley's request. Then he asked some to check with other media and confirmed nothing was leaked."
Peter kept a few email printouts on the table. Sky kept her cup away and took them. she roughly glanced at the papers and caught some serious words like Hypocrite, Hideous, Ill-mannered, Wanton and so on. What actually made her eyes soggy was '... stole a bride's gown to be a bride at a wedding... '
Jai saw her hands tremble, he took those papers from her and kept on the table. He returned the hot milk cup into her hand. Peter continued to talk.
"Since her plan of exposing you didn't work, She uploaded your picture. Mr.Loran Barton informed us on time and she didn't have any followers hence that plan failed too.
Later Mr.Barton must have scolded his girlfriend, She had taken your number from him saying that she wants to apologize to you. She even called you but you were busy which added fuel to the anger.
She uploaded your number on the website saying..." Peter stopped saying and gave her a tab that had a screenshot of a website with a vulgar picture, 'Call me anytime for phone s**'.
Sky's thoughts were in a mess. She had a complicated expression. "You... you guys may be mistaken."
"Yes, Many of my collegemates, schoolmates have my number and know about me. They must have done it." Sky was not ready to accept that Jessica who was such a sweet girl could do it.
"It's her email address." Peter pointed at papers on the table.
"Somebody must have hacked or used her mail." Sky rebuked.
Seeing Sam and Peter daily, she had started to think many people may know how to hack and all.
"She uploaded your picture yesterday." Peter made another point.
"Loran said her mobile was off when the picture was uploaded. somebody else must have done that." Sky replied.
Peter rubbed his forehead and tried to explain it in detail. "We tracked IP address, It's from the cafe network, her time in the cafe and post update matches. And mac address clearly says it's her laptop."
Sky tried to defend Jessica but she couldn't say anything, "She... Her..."
Peter gnashed his teeth and thought to himself, 'Vindicate again, I will throw you out of here.'
"I'm sorry, I wasn't doubting you." A faint voice heard.
"It's okay Ms.Sky. I understand." Peter said.
"Will you stop pretending for god's sake? Why do you have to make yourself look pitiful all the time?" Jessica's voice was hoarse.
"Jessica didn't you get it. How many times do I have to tell you? Sister Sky isn't pretending. I know her well. We know her well." Loran snorted.
"Loran!" Sky called him, "Can you help her to sit on that chair? I want to talk to her."
Sky said as she stood up after keeping the blanket and cup aside. Loran pulled Jessica up and took her to the dining table.
