Chapter 187 - Worst birthday

Her right leg calf was slashed by a piece of glass on the right side and blood was flowing down. Jimmy tried to control the blood flow but he saw her fainting.

When he heard the strong and sturdy boot sounds, he blocked Sky and checked them. Then they helped to send her to the hospital.

Sky opened her eyes and squinted them due to brightness and slowly adjusted and opened properly. She heard a faint noise from outside and a beeping sound behind her. She saw the luxurious ceiling and doubt raised in her mind whether she was in a big fancy hospital or a seven-star hotel equipped with those machines.

She turned her head right first and saw nobody was there, she turned another side and saw Loran resting his head and blocking the light by keeping a hand on his forehead. He looked worn out.

"Lo..ran!" Her voice was hoarse and low but Loran heard her and looked at her. Sky smiled despite the pain she was feeling from her leg.

She was deathly pale and weak due to the loss of blood. He jumped at once and held her up and hugged. "Sister Sky, You scared us." His voice was cracking.

"Dumbo, I'm fine, Give me water." Her voice was a little better than previous but it was still raspy.

Loran helped her lay down and raised the upper part of the bed and helped her to drink water. She drank half a glass and signaled him it was enough.

Loran clicked the button to call doctors and informed others that Sky woke up. Jai first came in and hugged her. After he released sky spoke first, "Brother Jai, What's the time?"

Jai checked his wristwatch, "1 am.".

"Brother Jai, again I couldn't celebrate your birthday and the first time I missed to wish you first." Tears started rolling down on her cheeks.

Maybe because of dejection and pain, her tears weren't stopping. Jai couldn't help but embrace her again, "Who said you missed to wish me first? Nobody wished me yet. Now stop crying and Wish me."

Nobody cared to think about his birthday as everyone was worried about her. She woke up after more than six hours and started crying taking that topic which flabbergasted many who were in the room.

Jai was disheartened when he heard everything from Sam but still kept a calm exterior. When he got the news he was on the way to resort, he had asked the driver who was sent by Sky to drive to the hospital.

He had heard about the mall firing incident half an hour earlier the call. He received the call got to know that Sky was in the mall at that time, He got numerous thoughts in mind. He prayed for Sky all the time on the way to the hospital.

Even though he felt relieved after knowing her life wasn't in danger. He agonized looking at her leg and thinking about what she had gone through in such a short time.

Sky wished him in-between sobs, "Happy... Birth... day Brother... Jai"

Jai released her and said, "This is my worst birthday wish ever, can't you wish me properly." Jai chided her as he wiped her tears.
