Chapter 188 - You better stop now

He gave her water to drink. After drinking Sky calmed down soon and wished him with a smile on her face, "Brother Jai, wish you a very happy birthday and many more to come."

"That's like my little sister." Jai said as he pinched her red nose.

The doctor who was waiting behind Jai spoke, "Mr.Barton, let me check Ms.Harley."

Doctor asked everybody to leave the room, Some left soon, some left unwillingly. The doctor checked her pulse rate, blood pressure, and other few tests and then he spoke.

"Ms.Harley, I'm Doctor Ben Goody, Do you have pain anywhere other than your leg?" Doctor asked.

Sky shook her head as she responded and felt like she knows about the doctor, "Nope, Doctor Goody."

"We already completed a full body check, You don't have any other problem. But you are not allowed to walk until your injury recovers." Doctor explained.

"Is it that serious?" Sky asked.

"You are lucky that glass pierced only muscules and your bone is not affected. So you will recover faster."

Sky hummed and looked at the doctor, "If nothing else, I will leave now. I will come after half an hour to sedate you. Oh yes, Please send your family and friends soon. I don't like noise in the hospital."

The doctor took a few steps before he stopped by Sky, "Doctor Goody, I feel like I have seen you. Have we met before?"

"You must have seen me in the news." Doctor Goody replied and went out.

Sky looked at his departing figure as she started thinking about it but Ethan broke the silence in the room.

"Sky, How are you? Is your leg paining?" Ethan also looked exhausted.

Sky smiled, "I'm good. Yeah, little pain is there."

Without leaving him to talk, she asked, "Hey, where are Sam, Peter, and Jimmy? They were with me in the mall." Sky saw many people when they were going out of the ward but she didn't see them.

"They are fine. Only Jimmy got shot on his hand but it just grazed so he is fine." Ethan replied about the fact.

Sky remembered what happened and clenched her right hand, "It must be because of me."

"Where are they? I want to meet them. and Can you tell me what happened in the mall? and who were they? Is there any news?..." Sky asked many questions to which Ethan couldn't keep track of her.

"Shhh, shhh! Why are you asking so many questions? I will call them now." Ethan ran out and looked at her family who were listening to the doctor and so he waited.

When the doctor left, all pushed Ethan aside and entered the room. He shook his head resignedly and entered at last. David, Georgia, and George surrounded Sky, "Why do you three look so aged in just six hours?"

Georgia burst into tears, "Child, We were all scared."

Sky held her hands, "Mom, See I'm doing well. Didn't the doctor say I am okay? I just can't walk for a few days. Then I will be back to normal. If you don't want me to start crying, You better stop now." Sky pouted.

Georgia nodded and wiped her tears. Sky then apologized to David for not listening to Sam and asked him about those three.

"I will call them" David replied before going out.
