Chapter 196 - Am I a messenger?

This was the doubt she had for a very long time. She doesn't know anybody who was working in the military, Sam and others were retired.

She was nowhere connected to the president of the country. Her family also has no connection with the military.

Upon that, Military hospital doesn't allow so many family members inside. She was sure they are treating her special but she didn't know the reason.

"Well, I can't disclose anything to you." Ben stood up.

"If your recovery is on the same range, I will give discharge tomorrow if you guys guarantee she will be looked after well." By the end of his sentence, He was looking left side of the bed.

Jai woke up and leaned on the headboard. Sky smiled at Jai and replied to the doctor, "My brothers are a thousand times better than your top best nurse. So no worries Doctor Goody."

The doctor left after giving some other instructions. Sky asked the nurse to check the next door if Peter and others are awake. Five arrived shortly after five minutes and Loran came with dinner.

All had dinner before talking about the incident. Sky read the file as she heard them talking.

"Even though it was unexpected we went to that mall, We aren't sure if Ms.Sky was their target or somebody. All the gunmen were shot dead by the military except one who is still in ICU."

"Complete mall is locked down for investigation. Luckily, we can join the investigation because of you."

"Me? Why will the military let you guys investigate because of me? Maybe because of your service in the military?" Sky asked.

"Well, It's not because of us." Maxwell replied.

"By the way, How come the army arrived at the mall so soon? There were no hostages kept for threatening the government right?" Sky asked.

Without replying to her doubt, Peter spoke about their investigation.

"In Sigma resort, there was a business conference of about fourteen businessmen of different countries who are working with the Sigma industries. We are suspecting that can be a reason for the attack as the mall is near to that resort and somebody must have visited. The conference was canceled on the same day and the resort was deserted. Many private jets flew off on the same day."

"That conference had to be till Sunday evening." Sky said to which five looked at her in bewilderment.

"Ms.Sky! How do you know that? It was highly confidential. They locked that area from Wednesday saying it's under renovation." Peter asked.

"Huh? I first called the manager of that resort to book that place for Brother Jai's birthday. The manager said there is a conference on Friday to Sunday and it was booked by Sigma industries itself." Sky replied to what she knew and realized what was wrong and continued.

"That manager is a mole! How can he tell about the confidential conference." Sky finished saying and looked at Peter.

Sam stood up and went out excusing himself. Sky thought for a minute or so and asked one more question. "If the manager is a mole and I spoke to him, then am I a messenger?"
