Chapter 217 - Stop walking

Arlo saw a girl in pink shorts and a pink hoodie with a bunny ear on her head walking down the stairs. She was holding a small orange juice jar in the left hand with a straw on her lips. She was occasionally sipping the juice forming a cute pout on her face.

Her right hand was pressing the railing whenever she moved her right leg. Her right leg calf was rolled in a white bandage. It took him some time to identify her as Sky Harley as she looked a lot younger with two ponytails on the side near the ear.

She looked more like a white and pink bunny. Ryan bent and saw Arlo's line of sight. "See, I told you she is crippled." He said in a low voice.

Arlo pushed him away and kept his eyes on her.

"Dad" A small and soft voice sounded from the living room. David turned behind towards right and noticed Sky.

"My daughter." He said proudly to them before getting up.

Sky was near the last few steps when she noticed Jai entering from the main door. Arlo noticed her lips curling up and giving a sweet smile looking at the door.

He followed her line of sight and caught a tall figure, 'Jai Barton'.

"Brother Jai" Sky said as she walked little faster without holding any support.

Jai furrowed his brows looking at her. He dropped his bag and dashed towards her.

Sky hugged him by waist as she cheerfully congratulated. After Seeing Jai, David stayed back. Arlo eyes never left Sky and Ryan eyes clearly recorded the behavior of Arlo.

"Why did you take the stairs? Where is Loran?" Jai asked.

Sky released him before saying, "He went to the washroom and I sneaked out." She put her tongue out smiling cheekily. Jai flicked on her head gently.

Her voice was low but it reached the dining hall. Looking at their warm interaction, Arlo suddenly felt jealous.

Sky noticed David standing near the dining room and pointed at him and said something to Jai.

"My little sister, Stop walking, Let me check your wound." Jai said as he carried her to the dining room.

Jai made Sky sit on the dining table and helped her to put her leg on the chair so that he can take a look properly.

"Uncle Harley" Jai greeted and glanced at the other two men. He paused for less than a second and reacted normally.

"Dad, I thought you went somewhere without telling me." Sky said.

"I was expecting guests so I stayed here. Let me introduce them to you, He is ..." Arlo cut in hurriedly as he kept his hand on David's hand.

"I'm Arlo S..., Uncle Harley's friend's son. He is Ray..." Arlo's introduction was weird.

David looked at him in surprise. Arlo gave a warm smile to him turned back to Sky.

Since his identity was always secret, David didn't think much.

"Hi. I'm Sky" She gave a smile and turned back to Jai.

Ryan found it very rude. But Arlo was disappointed by just a few words.

Sky who turned around remembered something and looked at Arlo again. She bent towards him for a closer look at his face.

David tried to stop her immediately but Sky just showed her forefinger indicating 'one minute' and moved in front of Arlo.
