Chapter 216 - Unwantedly too kind

"Chairman Harley! Please have a seat. I really admire you. I will explain everything." Arlo said as he stood up and bowed.

David sat back and waited for him to talk.

"Chairman Harley, You know whenever I threatened any company, they always cried and were ready to do anything."

Arlo shook his head and smiled, "Your daughter helped me when I was in trouble."

Ryan looked at Arlo in horror. David didn't give any reaction.

"I wanted to thank her hence I investigated about Sky Harley. But we couldn't get any information. Then I got to know her name as Sky Barton. We got some information. Seeing her being with you closely, I misunderstood your relation with her and decided to vanish Harley Corporation."

"But after listening to My grandmother's views about you, I checked everything again. Then identified two identities of your daughter. So I'm here to clear my doubt and thank her."

David saw his sincerity and nodded, "I want to keep this confidential."

"I shared my personal number and even mailed from my personal ID because I trust you that you will keep it confidential. So I hope you can trust me." Arlo successfully convinced.

David sighed before he started to say, "When my wife left us, I didn't want my daughter to live without motherly love,...."

David briefly explained her past life to the current life as CEO and President. But he skipped about their relationship Milton.

Arlo and Ryan listened carefully without commenting or disturbing David.

Arlo nodded and asked his question, "Why there is a story like Sky Barton stealing Bridal gown in her best friend's wedding? And that friend still works as her secretary."

David's eyes dimmed after listening to it, "I don't know whether I should be happy about that incident or sad."

"That bride was envious of Sky and Andy's friendship. She trapped my daughter and successfully convinced her to wear that gown saying it wasn't a wedding gown. My stupid daughter blindly believed her and entered the hall through the main door. Later only she realized her cream-colored gown was matching with the groom's suit."

David took a deep breath and continued, "Sky just said she didn't know that gown was a bridal gown. That wretched boy called her as a best friend all the time but he didn't trust her. My daughter didn't justify anything later. I wanted to show that family's true colors and ruin them, but Sky threatened me with her life not to disturb them and agreed to come to Capital city."

"I'm happy that she came here but that incident still haunts her. Because of that incident, she closed herself from new people." David finished as his eyes were rimmed red.

Arlo passed the water to David, "Was or is your daughter in love with that guy?"

David shook his head, "She is unwantedly too kind. That guy again came seeking her help, she helped him without caring what she went through. But she no more considers him as a friend."

Arlo and Ryan looked at each other for a second, "I'm Sorry Mr.Harley for reminding you of the past..."

When he was saying, He saw somebody getting down the stairs hence he stopped continuing. David was thinking about Sky so he didn't notice anything strange.
