Chapter 228 - She must have misunderstood you as someone else

David and Olivia turned towards Arlo when they heard his footsteps. "Grandmother!"

Olivia gave a faint smile, "Sky is in ICU, Half an hour back they shifted. They aren't sure when she will wake up. If she doesn't wake up by eight, they will declare as she is in a coma due to various reasons."

Arlo felt like hundreds of needles stabbing his heart. He saw David's crestfallen face. He didn't know how to console him. Olivia patted on his arms gave him an assurance look.

Arlo could only nod, he saw Jai talking to doctors when he entered the ICU to see Sky. She was lying on the bed like a lifeless body with many wires connecting her.

He remembered how she was talking nonstop with her brothers and her current state. He felt like something tugging his heart. He went near her and sat on the chair next to her bed.

The nurse who was looking after Sky stood up when she noticed him. He held Sky's hand which was cold like ice.

Her soft and pale hand looked tiny on his palm. When he held her hand between his palms, he felt like her fingers moved.

He moved near and started calling her name, "Sky! Sky!..."

The nurse moved closer towards them, "Sir, Ms.Harley isn't awake. We can't wake her up like this."

Arlo stopped calling her and thought he must have got it wrong. When he was about to leave her hand down, her hand movement was obvious.

He slowly looked at her face, She was opening her eyes and tilted her head towards the left where Arlo was sitting.

That was the second time he felt his heart beating faster looking at her. A feeble smile appeared on her face as she moved her hand towards Arlo's face and brushed the edges of his lips before falling back asleep.

He widened his eyes when a cold finger touched his lips. Seeing her hands fall, He held them before it hit on the bed. The nurse who saw Sky's movement, ran out to call the doctor.

David ran inside when he saw the nurse running out. He saw Arlo tucking her hands under the blanket. "What happened?" David asked anxiously.

"Chairman Harley, with your permission, I want to stay beside your daughter from now on." Arlo said straightforwardly.

David was stunned. That meant Sky was fine. He was shocked to see nurse running out and Arlo tucking her hand under the blanket.

Olivia paused before breaking into a smile. Seeing no response, Arlo added one more, "I'm sure you know the safety which I can provide is much better than what she has now."

David knew about that. But it was still difficult for him to consider.

A group of doctors entered the ICU and asked them to go out. Olivia pulled Arlo aside, "You aren't making a rash decision. Are you?"

Arlo shook his head, "I wasn't sure until I saw her smile looking at me."

'Muddle headed' Olivia shook her head resignedly, "She didn't have conscious for nearly nine hours. She must have misunderstood you as someone else."

Arlo was stunned, Yes! he didn't think she may have somebody she likes. He just thought about him.

When he was contemplating, he saw his image on the glass panel. He remembered how her hands brushed his lips, His lips slowly curled up thinking about what she said in Harley mansion.
