Chapter 300 - Undeniably

"You are behaving like brother Jai. It's not so cold" Sky said as she wore the jacket.

"If you get cold, your brother will hunt me down." Sam replied as he cuffed the sleeves.

Sky just laughed but didn't say anything about it, she peeked at Jimmy once before asking. "Sam! I may sound nosy. I know Jimmy has a girlfriend. Did they quarrel?"

"He used to have a bright smile whenever he was looking at his mobile lock screen picture. Now he looks sad. He just looks happy on the exterior."

"You are nosy." Sam motioned her to sit and sat next to her.

"Seriously! I saw his pictures on the camera. He is smiling but he not happy. I mean he is showing us as happy but he is not actually..." Sam cut her off.

"Her wedding is in fifteen days. She broke up with him." Sam told her.

Sky was shocked and was about to say something, Sam spoke again, "Let's not talk about it now. I will tell next time."

Sky nodded and looked at Jimmy who was still playing with the chords.

Arlo lighted the campfire and sat on another side of Sky facing Jimmy. Ethan was walking around like a headless chicken thinking about which song to play.

Everyone clapped for Jimmy and looked at Ethan. Sky shook her head resignedly looking at his confused expression and went near her tent to fetch the wireless speaker she brought.

She had picked the speaker when she heard the music. She saw Ethan sitting on the foldable stool and playing. He was better than Jimmy and the song he chose was melodious.

Everyone quietened down and listened to him. Sky then realized he was trying to choose the best song to show his talent.

For the whole seven minutes, everybody heard him without doing anything.

Ethan was confused by their expression. He couldn't decipher their expression. Ethan kept the guitar on the stool and went to Sky. "Sky, How was it?"

She smiled seeing his confused face, "Stupid man! Why can't you be confident about yourself in which you are talented?"

"So it was good?" Ethan asked in doubt.

"It was one of the best live acoustic guitar performances I have attended." She led him in front of everyone, "A big round of applause for our guitarist please."

All clapped for him and Ethan beamed. "Finally I impressed you!"

Sky chuckled and kept her hand on his shoulder before asking coquettishly, "Why? Do you want to marry me?"

It traveled to Arlo. He clenched his fist and looked at them.

Ethan removed her hand and ran off saying, "I don't have a death wish."

Sky laughed it off and sat down turning on the music on the speaker. They had dinner and a few went to sleep in their tents, two slept in their sleeping bag next to the campfire, Sky laid down and watched the stars.

"Sam, Go and rest. I will not run away anywhere." Sky said as she turned her head to look at him.

He shook his head and watched above. "Why do you like stars?"

"I don't know. When everybody liked to draw hearts and their crush name, I used to draw stars and JSL. I'm pretty weird." Sky said as she smiled.

There were no clouds as it was spring. She could see more stars from there than in the capital due to pollution.

"Undeniably!" Sam said and pulled her cheeks.

Arlo silently heard them talking in low voices for a long time. He saw how Sam was taking care of her. He watched her all the time but he was afraid to do anything as she wasn't that close to him. Hence he just became an audience.
