Chapter 324 - Business acquisition

Sky gritted her teeth and saw all employees looking at them and exclaiming as they started to whisper to others. "Put. me. down."

She didn't want to create a scene hence she kept her voice low and keeping her jaws clenched.

"Ms.Sky, It's not hygienic to walk barefooted in the gym." Then he made her sit on the bench press and extended his hand to receive the heels.

"I will wear them." Sky slapped his hand and wore her heels.

When she entered the elevator, she blocked it for Arlo and spoke very sweetly, "Take stairs back to the office."

Arlo! of course, couldn't do anything and he promptly took stairs from the seventh floor the thirtieth floor.

Few saw him taking stairs because of Sky. He didn't even take other elevators. They became vary about Sky and mentally decided not to offend her...

Sky pushed the tissue box in front of Arlo when he entered her office. "Don't repeat."

Sky warned first then thanked seeing the plate on the table, "Pancakes were yummy. Thank you."

Arlo's lips twitched uncontrollably, 'Glutton' He thought to himself and started their studies.

Harley's thirtieth anniversary was in two weeks and the preparation was on full swing. Sky had booked the whole Legacy hotel for a day.

The complete day had different events. The morning there would be releasing Harley's thirtieth-anniversary magazine where the brand ambassadors of the different fields would be attending it.

Afternoon, there would be a press conference in the conference hall which would be led by David. Vice president and all the directors would be chairing the conference with Andy.

Evening, there would be a party in the open-top party hall for employees. another party in the banquet hall for the business clients and business friends of David and Vice president, Mr.Sen.

They booked most of the rooms in the legacy for the brand ambassadors, higher management of Harley, business clients and friends.

Sky decided to make it big because of the shareholder, directors and even David requested. So she left no stone unturned during the entire arrangements...

A week before the anniversary there was a small party for successfully winning the bid of the Carlton lake project. It would be the first step for entering the hotels and resort sector from Harley.

Sky still had no plans to open hotels in the capital city or other cities of the country. She wanted to focus only on holiday resorts. The attendees were only the people who were related in the process, Directors, vice president, and David.

She even invited James and Ethan to attend the party since they knew about her interest in bidding as their sector collides and she didn't want to burn the bridge between them because of that project.

When James and Ethan entered the hall, Sky personally greeted them and led them in. She asked a few minutes from James and took him towards the corner table to have a talk.

On the way, Sky asked, "Uncle Jeff, Why didn't you bid for the land? Ethan was interested too in that place."

"I don't want to take the risk as it is quite far from the Capital city and T city. You don't have to worry, you weren't the reason. But child, What's wrong? You don't seem to be happy even after successfully acquiring the land." James asked as they sat down.

Sky had deliberated about it during the day and decided to ask him personally at the party. She sucked a deep breath before asking...

They nearly spoke about twenty minutes till Ethan entered with two plates of food. "Sky! Do you still find my Dad handsome that you sit with him for such a long time to have chat?"

Ethan knew they were talking something serious. Since it was dinner time he wanted to give starters to them so that they could eat a little and talk.

Sky ignored him and thanked James with a small bow, "Uncle Jeff! Thank you so much for your time and for sharing the information."

James rubbed her head adoringly, "I wish you were my child than this rascal."

"Sh*t! You guys just meet to talk ill about me." Ethan eyed both in the grim face.

Sky and James laughed it off and the latter left to talk to David. Sky saw Ethan leaving. She held him by the collar and made him sit.

"Mr.Ethan Jeff! Do I have to know about your success from the news and newspaper?" Sky questioned after sitting next to him.

"Oh! You read about it! Then why didn't you call me the same day? I thought you didn't care about it." Ethan looked visibly excited about the topic.

"I thought you will call me once you are free from that Business acquisition." Sky replied to him as she popped the starter to her mouth.

When she got to know about it, she had talked to James and knew about how he acquired the three hotels in three different cities of country A which were under the Mint company.

Sky had acquired four construction companies hence she knew how persistent she had to be for successfully taking a company under control. There would be other companies who would be trying for the same, to win among them wasn't an easy task.

Ethan knocked on her head, "If I call and say it, won't you say narcissistic and self-centered? I thought you would congratulate me after knowing. And you! hmph"

Sky kicked his leg seeing him look away, "I say narcissistic if you boast about your looks or stupid things all the time. Have I said it for other things?"

Ethan thought about it for a long time then replied, "You are right!"

He commented when he noticed her plate was empty, "Sky! Didn't you have lunch? Why did you gobble down so fast?"

"Oh!" Even she didn't notice. Whenever she was angry, unmindfully she eats a lot. She wasn't angry at Ethan.

She was angry at herself.

"Get up, Let's take something to eat!" Ethan said as he stood up behind Sky holding the chair to pull it for Sky.
