Brian was laughing when Sam put on his headphones and called a number. "Brian Kent. Chief Project manager of R&D in Sigma. He was looking down on Sky boasting his work profile. I will see how you guys handle him." Sam hung up the call and gave a smug smile at Brian before leaving.
After seeing the confidence on Sam's face, Brian's confidence wavered for a minute before entering his house.
-- In Smith Mansion --
Ryan looked at his mobile in disbelief. He was working out in the gym with Arlo. When he saw the call from Sam, he received right away thinking it might be important.
He went to his room and checked about the employee information before reporting it to Arlo.
"...Brian Kent and Sky studied in the same school. Should I take action?" Ryan asked Arlo.
"Mmm." Arlo left the barbell on the mat and spoke, "If its anything from Sam about Sky, you don't have to ask me. Carry it out... Don't forget, your name or my name shouldn't be out with that."
-- In the Barton house --
Sky returned home then Sam followed her in. George and Georgia were surprised to see her enter in sportswear.
"Princess!" Georgia hugged her. "Why didn't you tell me you are coming? And... this dress?"
"Mom! I came yesterday night at twelve. I went out for a jog now." Sky replied as she went towards George who was on the couch.
"Dad!" Sky went behind him and hugged him by his neck. George patted on her hands with a smile.
"Brother Jai?" Sky asked Georgia looking upstairs. "Gym!" Georgia pointed upstairs.
Sky turned to Sam, "Sam! Get fresh. There must be clothes in the cupboard, you can use them for now. Then we will have breakfast."
Sam nodded at George and Georgia as greeting before entering the guest room.
Sky went to the gym which was on the second floor. Jai had finished working out and was drinking water when Sky entered.
"Good Morning!" Sky wished as she went in front of him. Jai rubbed her head dotingly and asked, "Working out now?"
Sky shook her head, "Sorry that I troubled you last night."
"Trouble?" Jai flicked on her head.
Sky rubbed her head and spoke, "I spoke to Dad. He said he didn't help me with anything except starting two months. I was too irrational."
"That's not a problem. Are you okay?" Jai asked. Sky pouted for a few seconds then pursed her lips and thought how to answer.
Jai spoke before she could answer, "Little sister! When did you start to think so much to answer me?"
Sky shook her head and answered. "Everything happened so suddenly that I started questioning everything I have done until now. The more I try to convince myself, the more I'm doubting myself. I know I have worked hard but that doesn't mean I have to achieve it. Since most of it worked out, I question myself that 'was there somebody helping me out all the time?' So basically, My thoughts are messed up."
Jai listened to her intently then knowing she was just lacking certainty and she just needed little boosting, he sighed inwardly.
He pulled her to embrace and patted on her back. "Then stop thinking. Give it some time, you will understand."
Sky nodded and raised her head making puppy face, "I don't want to go back till I clear my mind."
Seeing her being cute to get his permission, he chuckled and agreed, "Sure."
Then he released her, took her out and spoke as they descended the stairs, "Sky! Tomorrow, there is an Alumni meet in the school. Do you want to be my sidekick?" Jai wanted to lighten her mood hence he framed it as a sidekick.
"Sure sir! I will be honored to be your sidekick." Sky said as she pinched his arm.
Jai went to his room and Sky went to Loran's room to wake him up. When Loran heard Sky calling him, he slightly opened his eyes and closed back murmuring something.
When he heard Sky's warning that she would pour water, he opened his eyes wide and pinched her cheeks, "Oh! I'm not dreaming."
Sky cheeks became red as a tomato due to his pinch and wailed, "Looooran!"
"Sister Sky!" Loran hugged her neck, "I missed you! I was thinking to surprise you on Monday. You gave me a surprise instead. Our branch in city T took a long time and it's in full swing. I have trained two to work in the capital city too. Once it stabilizes I will..."
"Loran, I will be staying here for a long time. No hurry." Sky's neck was paining by his hold.
Loran left her, "Then I will get fresh first." He hopped off the bed dashed into the bathroom. Sky smiled and went to her room after making his bed.
At the dining table, All enjoyed breakfast hearing Sky and Loran talk and joke around. Sky then asked Sam and Clark, "Are you guys going to stay here or leave? I may stay for some more days."
Sam looked at Jai before answering, "We will stay."
"Okay! I will take you two out later for shopping to buy clothes." Then Sky turned to Jai, "Brother Jai, What do we have to wear for the alumni meet? Can I wear a dress which is here or do..."
"Sister Sky, I have bought a dress for you from city T. It will go with the party. I will get it." Loran wiped his hands and ran off.
"Later... He went off." She couldn't stop him.
Loran soon came down with two paper bags and opened one off-shoulder dress to show to her.
It was in Sacramento green color. Short in the front and long in the back. It had a sweetheart neckline and lace-up back design. It was gorgeous.
Sky had an itch to try it on. She slid off the chair before Jai could notice and she took the dress from Loran before running to her room, "I want to try it on." She announced on the way upstairs.
Loran was delighted to know she liked the dress. He sat on his chair and waited for Sky. She returned after about three minutes. She had left her pony and was wearing the same pink fur slippers.
Her t-shirt dress was changed to the off-shoulder dress. Front it ended little above the knee, back it was sweeping the floor. It wasn't her first time wearing an off-shoulder dress hence she was comfortable with it and it fitted her perfectly seizing her curves.
"How is it?" Sky asked as she twirled once.
