Chapter 329 - Arlo over

Georgia was the first one to react, "Our princess is beautiful in all types of dress."

Sky smiled and darted a look at Loran and Jai. Loran stood up and went to her with a poker face.

He held her hand took her to her room and ordered before closing the door, "Change and come down."

Sky perplexedly changed soon and went back to the table. She nudged Jai and raised her brows asking what happened. "He will not let you wear that dress tomorrow."

When Jai finished speaking, Loran spoke as he pointed at the couch where another paper bag was present, "Sister Sky, Wear the dress which is in THAT BAG tomorrow."

Sky nodded but asked in confusion, "Dress which I wore now was gorgeous. Why not that?"

Jai smiled and waited for Loran to hear his reason. Loran shot her a glance before saying, "I am in no mood to pluck the eyes of men."

Sky burst into laughter after hearing him, "That means, Mr.Barton is praising me. I understand. I will not wear it here." She patted on his back.

--  In Harley corporation --

Arlo noticed David entering the CEO's office than his Chairman's office with his assistant. He gave a call to his people who were around Sky to protect her. "Where is she?"

"Sir, She is in the Barton house. She reached here yesterday night." A male voice answered him immediately.

He hung up the call and understood why Sky assigned few works to him and Andy. When he was lost in thoughts, he received a call through the intercom.

"Chairman Harley!" Arlo received the call.

"Come inside." David ordered authoritatively.

Arlo hung up the call and went inside Sky's office. He saw David sitting on the couch. The latter pointed opposite couch indicating him to sit as his Assistant exited the office.

"President Smith! Did you use your connection to get the redevelopment project from the government?" David didn't have any emotions in his voice or face. It was hard to read from his face.

Arlo replied straightforwardly, "Nope. I would never do that as it will be a form of insulting to President Harley."

David was happy to hear that but he remained cold. "Then why did you attend the meeting with others? As I knew, it was under Assistant Gill."

Arlo started to understand why David was asking him these questions and the reason behind Sky's absence from the office.

"I wanted it to be carried out carefully." Arlo was careful and even disguised.

David didn't reply. He waited for Arlo to give him justification for his actions. Arlo understood why David was looking at him.

He stood up and went to Sky's desk. He pulled a drawer and took an A3 size sketchbook and kept it in front of David. "You will understand why I personally wanted to take care of it." Arlo said and sat back.

David took the book and flipped the pages. Even though there wasn't name, David knew it was sketched by Sky.

There were four types of tiny houses. One looked modern, the other three looked like a treehouse but different architecture. Since Sky didn't learn architecture, she had roughly mentioned a few details on the right end corner.

David liked all four designs. If he was CEO, he would have just ordered the concerned department to carry out instead of doing it personally but Sky would personally work on the projects before she decides on anything. That was the reason why most of the things were successful in her plans.

Seeing David in a daze, Arlo spoke, "Chairman Harley! Did President Harley think you or somebody helped her? and she went to town A."

David nodded and sighed. "Somebody must have identified you and gave us the project. Other than that, we are not finding another reason."

Arlo thought for a minute. He didn't want her to leave what she worked hard just because of his identity. "I'm not sure if anybody identified me but a panel member was very much interested in President Harley's idea about forestation and I heard that the rest of the company plans were the typical factory, hotel, amusement parks. If Chairman Harley agrees, I will talk to President Harley."

David knew Sky would not return this time if she wasn't convinced by the proper reason. Since Sky was important than Arlo being with her, he agreed, "Mmm!"

After pausing, he continued, "Sky will head the meeting today through video conference, arrange it."

Seeing Arlo leave, David was sure Sky would send Arlo back once she gets to know his identity. And he knew Sky would throw tantrum for letting him stay as her secretary.

David sighed and thought to himself, 'Chapter Arlo is over.'

-- In the Barton Mansion --

Sky sat in the study room and went through some emails before the meeting. After the meeting was over, Sky asked Andy to arrange one more meeting with him, Arlo and David in fifteen minutes.

Sky went to her room to use the bathroom then she informed Sam and Clark to get ready.

"Loran! What are you still doing here? Aren't you going to your studio?" Sky saw Loran lazing around in the house.

"Sister Sky! I'm coming with you guys. We will have lunch out." Loran sluggishly answered.

"Lethargic fellow." Sky turned to Jai who was in his sportswear with his kit. "Practise?"

Jai hummed as he tied his shoelaces. "Can I play in the evening with you? It's been a very long time that I haven't played." Sky asked earnestly.

Loran's eyes sparkled hearing Sky, "You guys playing? I want to watch it. I want to watch..."

Hearing his yammer, Everybody's attention went to Loran. Sam curiously asked, "Can she really play well?"

Loran stood up from the sofa, "She can't win brother Jai but she is a really tough opponent to him than many national players he had faced till now. I'm sure her techniques are still the same."

Sam thought Loran was exaggerating. Clark asked with curiosity, "Can I watch too?"

Sky looked at Jai and raised her brows with a smile on her face.

"Sure! Evening at five. Gear up yourself, Little Sister." Jai said and rubbed her head dotingly before leaving.

Sky high-fived Loran before entering the study room for a meeting. Sky connected the video and saw David, Arlo, and Andy in her office.

"Dad!" Sky greeted David.

"Ms.Sky." Arlo and Andy greeted.

Sky went straight to point, "About the anniversary and work-related. I have already assigned the anniversary related work to you two. Carry out and report to Chairman Harley. Regarding Summer collection..."
