Chapter 331 - Sky again lost to Jai

They shopped till lunchtime. After lunch, they again shopped an hour before returning back home. When they reached the Barton house, Brian was still standing there.

"Sam!" Sky cried out before getting down from the car. Sam messaged Ryan as he entered inside the house with the other three.

Sky rested in her room before leaving for Jai's indoor sports club.

After the video call with Sky, Arlo turned to David. The latter's head throbbed thinking what to do with his daughter.

David saw Arlo looking at him and said the fact, "She trusts your ability and it saved you. Let's see how long you can pull off. If she gets to know you are the Arlo Smith , she will kick you out. So be prepared." Then he waved his hand to send Arlo.

He hadn't reached the door when David called, "President Smith!"

Arlo turned around to face him, "Yes?"

"My lunch is on you. Let me see, Why my daughter is head over heels in love for the food you prepare." Even though David was a little embarrassed to say, he wanted to try it.

Arlo smiled thinking about the glutton Sky . "Sure" Then he went out.

During lunchtime, Arlo had cooked a simple Italian dish with salad for David. He had no intention to eat with the latter hence he just waited for David to try it before leaving the office.

David tasted it and a smile appeared on his face. "Your skills are extraordinary."

David understood why his daughter was smitten with the food Arlo prepared. Arlo gave a faint smile and left the office.

Around half-past five o'clock

Arlo went inside Sky's office to keep some files, He saw David watching Television intently. He glanced towards the screen, it was video recorded from a high level hence it wasn't difficult for him to guess it as a surveillance camera footage.

He identified the players. Sky and Jai were inside Badminton court. Loran was sitting on a referee stool. Sam and Clark were next to Loran.

Sky was in her blue sports shorts and top. Her hair was tied up high in a ponytail and was wearing the sports shoe with a sweatband in her hand.

He saw a fierce battle between Jai and Sky for one point and commented, "She is marvelous." He knew about Jai but never expected Sky to match up with him.

David hummed. Arlo sat and watched the complete match with David.

-- In town A --

Sky got ready and went with the trio to Jai's private indoor sports club. Jai was stretching when they entered inside. Jai had sent off the other players so that they could enjoy playing hence he was alone inside.

After seeing them enter, he instructed Sky, "Warm-up."

Sky nodded and picked the foam roll to loosen the tightness of leg muscles and with a light warm-up exercise before she entered the court.

Sam thought they were overdramatizing. With Jai skills, she won't stand a chance unless Jai gives up for his sister.

Loran worked as a referee and tossed a coin for them. Jai won the toss. Before they start, Sky suggested, "Bother Jai! Let's play before the game."

Jai nodded and hit the shuttle towards her. Sam sneered after hearing her. Clark went next to Loran, "Loran! Are you sure Sister Sky can play well?"

Loran knew Sam and Clark won't believe him even if he says anything hence he ignored Clark and whistled after five minutes. "Let's begin."

Jai served first and the game started. Sky was in attacking mode for the first pointer. Within a minute she hit the shuttle out of the court.

Next pointer, Jai was in attacking mode and he successfully got a second point with a shuttle falling in.

It was within the expectation of Sam and Clark. Sam thought they were watching the match where Sky won't be able to get even a single point. Clark was near to lose the interest to watch.

Sky again lost to Jai. She had zero when the latter had three points.

Before Jai could serve, Sky spoke which was picked by the ears of Sam and Clark. Jai and Loran's lips slightly turned up hearing her say. "Bring it on."

Sky was attacking Jai with each shot as the latter defended.

Loran shouted, "Here comes the first point." when he saw Jai hit the shuttle on the net.

Loran was celebrating the first point of Sky but she and Jai continued the game. Sam and Clark were in disbelief because Sky had lost three points within a minute each.

But this round took them more them three minutes. Sky every leg movement, jumps, strikes were too good. They felt like blue cheetah playing in the court. She was at every end of the court in a blink of an eye.

Sky served this time. Every point took them a long time. It was just a beginning, Sam and Clark's neck started to sore for the continuous movement of their heads side to side.

-- In Harley Mansion --

Jimmy had enlarged the sports club live video and told to Maxwell and Peter about the match. He had seen them play in the beginning and ignored it as they were playing for timepass. When he noticed the second time, he shot from his seat and shouted at the other two.

After watching for a minute, Peter called David who was reading a magazine. "Chairman Harley! Would you like to watch your daughter play Badminton? If yes! turn on the TV."

He hung up after hearing him answer. Then he played his fingers on the keyboard to relay the video in Sky's office.

"Our President turned out to be an outstanding player." Peter commented after finishing his work.

-- In town A --

"There goes the angular shot. 5-3 for sister Sky." Loran also worked as a commentator to liven up the atmosphere.

"Don't lose your complete energy at the beginning itself." Jai advised Sky.

Sky made an Ok gesture and served. Sky used to lose her all energy in the beginning and slow down later hence Jai mentioned.

For the sixth point, Sky was at defending mode as Jai attacks were getting solid with each strike. Sky lost it and hit the net.
