Sky gave a faint smile and nodded at him before glaring daggers at Sam who was in a formal suit.
"Ms.Barton, We have arranged security for you around the school. If you need anything, let us know." His voice was loud and crisp.
"No! Thank you, Captain." Sky replied faintly but she started to get more glances hearing Sky had security.
She saw Clark entering with one more entourage carrying big cardboard boxes. He bowed to Sky and followed up where the principal was standing in a daze.
"I guess, You are the Principal of the school. These are from Ms. Sky Barton. These are some books that will be helpful for students." Clark's voice was firm and intense.
Sky! first time heard his serious tone.
Fifteen guards kept the boxes and left the hall. The Captain left after greeting Jai and Principal. Sky took a step forward and stood in front of Sam and Clark. "What's going on? Who planned all these?"
"Your brother and Brother Sam." Clark was back to himself in front of Sky. Her lips tilted up hearing his voice.
Sky nodded, "Take them all and leave."
"Let me see how you handle your old classmates before I leave... Clark, Take them and leave." Sam again turned to Sky, "Where is your bossy aloofness?"
Sky lips dangerously tilted up. She just wanted to attend and leave without much interaction. Seeing Jai and Sam's intention, she decided to make them happy.
Sky turned back to the table. All gulped down their saliva and looked at her. Brian was a scaredy-cat and thought he lost his job. "Because of you five, I lost my job."
"Brian!" Sky who looked calm till now had cold and formidable air around her. Her eyes were sharp enough to pierce through their soul.
"You! Claret right? You are right. I shouldn't sit with you guys. It will only degrade my image. Isn't it?" Sky raised her brow and looked at that girl in the eye.
Claret nodded frantically. Sky smirked lightly and shifted her line of sight to another one.
"What you just said? Wooing Brian? Do I really look like one to woo him? When have you seen my taste so worse?" Even though she doesn't go by looks, his attitude was too disgusting.
"Stole bride's gown? Who said that?" Sky looked at the girl who kept her head low.
" Raise. your. head. " Sky commanded.
That girl didn't dare to disobey her and looked at her. But she couldn't maintain eye contact due to guilt.
"Don't you have guts to look into my eyes? Do you think I don't know why you married at the age of nineteen? Do you want me to tell about it to your so-called best friends?" Sky paused. All color drained from that girl's face.
"Think before you spout nonsense about me." Sky didn't let her secret out about getting pregnant at a young age.
"And You! Do you think Brian belittled me? Yes! I should be belittled. Because I don't go around and swindle from rich heirs like you."
Sky didn't want to bother about others, she just swept a glance at them. But her once upon time friends tried to befriend gregariously, "Sky! You know them, they were always like that. You should..."
Sky knew how those five girls behaved. It wasn't out of their character because at least they showed it on their face. But these were the evil.
Their thinking and their words hardly match. So she didn't want to bother about them. "Cut the cackle. Don't even think about sucking up to me." Sky cut them off ruthlessly.
Her voice wasn't loud but anybody could say, she was screwing them up. Brian slowly looked up and tried to ask something but his voice betrayed him.
Sky furrowed her brows. "You will not lose your job."
Then she turned around and saw Sam standing and smiling, "I will leave."
Sky nodded and went towards Jai. The latter got up from his seat and went to her. "Brother Jai! I should have guessed you are up to something when you left me alone."
She looked warm with Jai completely opposite to her attitude from a few seconds back. Her classmates looked at the duo and regretted their actions.
Jai corrected her few strands of hair saying, "My little sister can also be Domineering when she wants."
Sky just smiled. Loran came to them, "Sister Sky! My friends want to meet you. Can you?"
"Later! Let's meet the Principal first." Jai said and led them to the principal.
Jai took out a cheque and handed it to Principal. Sky looked at both in confusion. Then Loran handed his cheque to Principal and asked, "Sir, When are you planning to build the laboratory?"
"Why don't I know anything about this?" Sky looked at three men alternatively asking for an answer.
The principal smiled and answered, "Loran! We need some more funds to start it. Let's see how many will help."
"How much is required?" Sky changed her question.
"About one more million. Jai and Loran each gave a million each. Our total estimated budget is three million." The principal replied. He was already touched by Sky's gesture to give books to the school.
"Loran, My mobile!" Sky took her mobile and looked at Principal, "Principal! Can I get the account number? I didn't bring my checkbook."
Principal hesitated, "Sky, You already gave us so many books. Somebody else will help." but seeing her still waiting for account number holding her mobile with an anticipating gaze, he gave the school's bank account number.
Sky transferred the amount immediately. "Sir, It's done."
Principal checked the bank statement and stuttered, "Sky... Sky Harley? Ar.. Aren't you Sky Barton?"
Jai responded to him as he held Sky by her shoulder, "She is both. I hope, Principal can keep it under wrap."
It took time for Principal to understand then he laughed it off, "You are just my boisterous and guileless student Sky."
Sky just smiled and thanked him before leaving with Loran to meet his friends. His few classmates and Sky knew each other for a long time, so she was amiable with them.
Due to entourage arranged by Sam and Jai, they were quite impressed by Sky. So most of the talks surrounded Sky and other powerful people in that town.
The principal grabbed the attention of everyone talking on the mike. "Good evening everyone. Thank you for attending the Alumni meet. Dinner will be served now. It's by the Barton Siblings. Jai, Sky, and Loran. So today's toast will be for them."
