Chapter 377 - Sky lost her mind after the kidnap(4)

Arlo ignored her and took her hair back on started to dry. Sky continued to check all channels.

"Ms.Sky!" Arlo called after some time. "Hmm?"

"What happened when you were acting as unconscious in the car?" Arlo asked each word clearly.

Sky who was changing channels paused then continued to change again, "Nothing!"

Arlo asked as he carefully watched her action. He was seeing the glass panel below television where her reflection was visible. He clearly saw changes in her eyes and hands tremble before returning to normal. He turned off the dryer and kept it on the side table before going in front of her.

Sky touched her hair which was still wet. "I told you it will take a long time, unlike your... short.. hair."

Seeing him sitting on the coffee table after pulling it near, she asked confusedly, "What happened?"

"What are you hiding?"

Sky shook her head knowing what he meant.

"If you are not telling me, I will call your brother Jai." Arlo knew if she was really hiding, that would work on her.

Sky remained silent and looked at him blankly. Arlo waited for some time then he took out his mobile which was snatched by Sky before he could even unlock it.

"You are not calling my brother." Sky glared at him and held his mobile tightly if in case he snatches it.

Arlo saw her actions and stood up, "I know your brother Jai's number." He was taking step towards landline Sky tugged his shirt anxiously.

"Okay, I'm waiting. If you say it, trust me you will be relaxed." Arlo said as he sat in front of her again.

"Even Brother Jai says the same." Sky said as she blinked twice looking at him.

Arlo waited for her to say but before she could speak, her lips trembled as tears started to fall. "Even after turning off my mobile, that driver noticed a taxi following at speed so they started to check my clothes for any digital device if present. That's it."

Even though she made it sound simple, he knew how they would check. "And that's why you felt disgusted?" His voice was too low to hear.

Sky bit her lip and nodded. Arlo wiped her tears and passed her the glass of water.

After drinking, Sky spoke, "You aren't allowed to tell anybody. I don't want them to feel bad for me." She didn't want Jai to know from other sources.

"Okay." Arlo said and stood up, "By the way, I don't know Jai Barton's number." He just used it for her. He had his number on the mobile but why would he bother to memorize it.

Sky pouted and pinched his hand hard before leaning back. Arlo let her do as she wants and then continued to dry her hair.

Sky had kept the music channel and started yawning, Arlo continued to dry her hair as his fingers caressed her hair, her yawning increased more.

Since the music channel was on for a long time, Arlo asked casually, "Which singer do you like?"

"You!" Sky still remembered his singing voice and still, she couldn't find any match for it. Realizing she was too straight forward, she explained, "You sang well in Ethan's birthday."

Arlo never thought she would say that. "That means you like my voice."

Sky yawned and nodded. Arlo's lips tilted up knowing it and finished drying her hair faster and went in front of her but she had fallen asleep. He had seen her yawning but he didn't expect her to sleep off. He laid her on the sofa and covered her with a blanket.

Sam returned soon and late lunch was ready. So he woke her up to eat. While eating she asked, "Sam, why did you go?"

Sam didn't reply to her. He took a small jewelry box out and placed next to her plate before he continued to eat.

She left her spoon and opened it, It had a chain with a black single diamond pendant. it was the same as the chain she wears daily except the diamond color.

"To whom?" She held the chain in her hand and looked at the pendant. "Isn't the chain long for Mia?... Girlfriend? Brother Dan didn't tell me anything about it." Sky looked at him with an expectant look.

Sam looked at her without any expression thinking she lost her mind after the kidnap, "if I take for my girlfriend, why will I keep it in front of you?"

"Then what did you take for your girlfriend?" Sky asked and looked carefully at the pendant, She identified the difference in the pendant. "This is for me and this has a nanochip," Sky said seriously.

"So you still have a brain." Sam couldn't understand why Daniel and Sky always link his one or the other thing to his nonexistent girlfriend.

She wore the chain which was slightly longer than the other chain and pendant dropped right below the white pendant. "Black represents the energy of power, knowledge, control, protection, and masculinity. White represents the energy of softness, gentleness, and femininity. When paired together, they create overall balance and harmony within a space... So, won't there be raillery between us?" Sky asked after wearing.

Three men looked at her and continued to eat.  'Sky lost her mind after the kidnap.'

"Hopefully both stones create overall balance and harmony in your brain." Sam mocked her brain mercilessly.

Sky choked on her food. "I understood." 'There will be raillery between us.'

After lunch, All sat in the balcony on the ground floor and ate fruits. Sky who was playing with her new diamond chain suddenly spoke.

"Sam, Do you have to prove you are smart every time?" Sky asked confusing the other three.

Sam gave her a 'what did I do now?' look to her.

Sky continued, "Even if somebody kidnaps me again and snatch the chain, they will keep it as it is expensive, so it would be easier to track me."

Seeing three men glaring at her, She asked, "What?"

"Are you planning to get kidnapped?" Two said in unison.

Ryan scratched his head thinking about what to say. 'What should I say?'
