"I can do it! Sky don't waste your time. You should leave." Ethan told her to leave without even looking at her.
Sky bit her lip and looked at him for a few seconds, "Are you angry at me? I really didn't expect Milan Bing to behave like that. Else I would have dealt with him long back. I'm sorry."
Feeling conversation becoming gloomy, she tried to poke fun, "Do you want me to do sit-ups as punishments?" Sky bent down to look at his expression but he burst out, "Sky! stop it."
She was startled and took a few steps back. Ethan was looking at her with complex emotions and went on with his talk.
"Just stop it. I'm tired of listening to your name Sky, Sky, Sky... ...Sky all the time at home. I'm like this, I'm like that, I do that, I do this, blah blah blah. Enough, It's enough. Didn't you want me to work? Am I not working now? What is your problem now? Are you here to teach me how to work? Or are you going to tell me how you work?"
He suddenly grabbed her both arms with much force frightening Sky, "Sky! I'm am very thankful for your help, Very much thankful." Then he flung her hands back and started taking steps back from her.
"But now it's enough. Where you grew up and where I grew up are completely different worlds. I can't be like you. What can I do if I only have such friends? Don't do that, don't do this, Do it like that, do it like this. Enough Sky, enough! I'm done with everything. I'm tired of everything. I'm tired of you. Will you stop bothering me about my life? My life has nothing to do with you so PLEASE stay out of it."
Sky bit her lip and controlled her emotions. "I'm sorry for disturbing your life."
Sky took her mobile and bag and left his office without looking back. She entered the elevator and reached the parking lot. She got into her car holding her breath.
Tears started rolling down her cheeks. She never told him to be like her. She just wanted him to be responsible and help his father. She chided him for partying more but she never told him to stop it completely. When she says others to mind their business, she forgot that applies to her also.
She calmed down soon and wiped her face with a wet tissue and left Jeff's headquarters to go Harley mansion.
Since she thought to have dinner with Ethan, she had informed butler not to prepare anything for her. When she went in, Butler asked her. "Young miss, have you had dinner? Shall I ask to cook for you?"
Sky gave a faint smile and replied, "Porridge will be enough. Please send it to my room. Thank you." When her mood was down, she preferred to eat lighter food as she wouldn't have an appetite.
After getting fresh, she informed the maid and she went to the sunroom on the top floor which had a glass roof, plants around, seating and a big swing bed.
It was getting dark and the sunroom had an orange glow as lights were off. She laid on the swing and looked above where she could see the waning gibbous moon. When she heard a knock, she thought it as a maid and spoke, "Enter."
When she heard the door opening, she continued, "Please keep on the tea table. Thank you."
She didn't see and gave instructions. Then she heard sounds of plates being placed on the table. When it stopped, she spoke again, "You can leave."
"But I brought my dinner too." A known man's voice heard in the room.
Excluding Butler and the main chef, all maids were women and only they served her. If Butler serves, he gives her a heads-up before entering the room. Hearing another voice, she shot up and turned around.
"Arlo?" She breathed a sigh of relief knowing it's him. "Why are you here?" Sky asked as she got down from the swing bed.
...
Arlo had almost reached near sigma when he received a call from a string of numbers, "Yes!"
"Sir, President Harley went to Jeff hotels headquarters and she reached Harley mansion now."
'That was quick.'
"Did she drive fast?" Arlo asked.
"No, Ten minutes she was in the office, Five minutes she simply sat in the car before leaving and driving home."
Arlo hung up and felt something was amiss. He parked his car aside and took his laptop from the back seat.
After working on for a few minutes, Arlo fetched a video where Sky ran towards her car and shut the door. Even though he couldn't see clearly, he noticed her head on the steering wheel and her hand's movements wiping her face.
Since he knew she was at home and David was at a dinner party with shareholders, he pinged Ryan and went to Harley mansion.
Butler greeted him, told him she was in the sunroom and he would call her but Arlo convinced him and did some dishes for her and took them to the sunroom.
Seeing her in white A-line short slip dress with asymmetrical hem. His Adam's apple moved up and down looking at her fresh and clear look.
'You will kill me one day' He thought to himself and replied to her question.
"I was nearby so I thought to visit you." Arlo lied.
Sky wore her thin brown crochet, half sleeve, cropped pullover and sat on the chair. Even though it had shallow designs and her skin was visible, her flawless skin wasn't visible that much.
Arlo heaved a sigh of relief and sat down.
Instead of switching on the lights, Sky took out candles and candle holders from the drawer behind her chair. After lighting it on the table, she took her bowl to her hands, leaned back on her chair and started eating.
Arlo looked at the lighted candles and her who was silently eating. Without any efforts, he was having candlelight dinner with her. To strike a conversation he tried to tease her, "Ms.Sky! Are you planning to propose in this candlelight dinner?"
But she calmly replied, "Propose what? Didn't you reject whenever I proposed you anything?"
Arlo was dumbfounded. That proposal was different. Opening a company, hotel, entering entertainment were business proposals.
Who does that in candlelight dinner?
"Proposal during candlelight dinner is asking someone to marry you." Arlo explained.
