When they were almost stable on the ground from rolling, they heard a loud bang and Sky let out another yelp as she shrunk and trembled under Arlo who had wrapped one hand around her head and another on her back.
Arlo heaved a sigh of relief thinking that was too close. He had acted swiftly seeing odd driving speed on campus and a swaying car. The car headlights weren't on and they didn't honk so it was difficult to notice the car under the dimly lit area. Either it was an intentional accident or drunk man lost his mind.
Arlo tried to get up but Sky's clutch was tighter on his jacket. He couldn't see her expression clearly but he could say her eyes were squeezed in and he could feel her quivering.
"Sky! I'm here. Don't worry. Calm down...." Arlo went on with his soothing tone.
Sky breathed in and out slowly and before composing herself. "Are you fine? Did you get hurt?" Sky left his jacket and asked him worriedly.
Arlo helped her sit, "I didn't get hurt. Are you hurt anywhere?"
After hearing he wasn't hurt, Sky looked around and saw her mobile screen was still lighted and showing 'Brother Jai' .
When she stood up, she frowned and bit her lip to control her emotions. She took her mobile and spoke, "Brother Jai! Brother Jai! I'm fine. Nothing happened to me."
"Arlo saved. I'm perfectly alright. Its an accident."
"Okay okay, I will video call now." Sky hung up the voice call.
Arlo held her shoulders and guided her near bench under the light.
Sky quickly video called and spoke. "See, I'm fine!"
"Sky! Where are you hurt?" Jai could make out small changes in her expression or voice so it wasn't difficult for him to identify.
"I..."
"Don't even dare to lie." Jai's voice was stern. Arlo looked at her up and down but he didn't see her hurt.
"Brother Jai! I will tell, but you shouldn't worry."
"Sky!" How can he not worry when he wasn't even there with her.
"My left ankle twisted when my heels stuck on grass ground. It's paining. Nothing else." As soon as she voiced it, she felt more pain and her eyes filled up.
As soon as Arlo heard, he removed her left leg shoes and noticed red skin and he could make out it was swelling.
Sky continued, "That car didn't make any sound and even headlights were down. He banged on the car. See."
She tried to be calmer and changed the camera view to the rear and showed two cars to Jai.
"Sky! Where is your secretary?" Jai asked in seriousness.
Sky faced the mobile to Arlo who was kneeling on the ground. "Give me an update after checking on her. And Thank you for saving my little sister."
Arlo said with a straight face. "It's my responsibility. We will call after her check-up."
Sky looked at Jai, "Brother Jai! Are you angry?"
"I'm not. Listen to your secretary, okay? Don't put your weight on the left leg, understand?"
Sky nodded. "I will do as you say."
Thomson stood with water bottled aside and heard their conversation. When she hung up he passed her water. She drank a little and kept aside, Arlo twisted her ankle to different side causing her to cry in pain.
She slapped his arms as tears falling down her cheeks. "Are you trying to break my ankle? You heartless man. don't you..."
Those slaps on his arm were of no effect on him and he tried her move her feet clock and anticlockwise. Seeing her not yelling in pain, he stood up and wiped her face as she continued to scold him.
"Rotate your feet." Arlo didn't get irritated or angry at her.
"Huh?" Sky looked up and then rotated her left foot.
"It pains when I rotate outside." Sky said in a hoarse voice. "But it isn't painful like before."
Soon a Porsche pulled in front of them. Arlo glanced it and scooped her up, "We will go to the hospital."
"Ahh! I can walk." Sky tried to struggle but she was already inside in the car back seat.
Arlo sat on another seat, Thomson took the shotgun seat holding her certificate.
"Shouldn't we resolve that first? And why are we going to the hospital? Isn't my leg is fine?" Sky said looking at her swelling ankle.
About the accident, his people were already there to resolve it.
"You don't tell me where you are hurt. So I have no other option." Arlo was displeased because she didn't say anything to him when he asked her.
She got to know when she stood up. She didn't want to panic Jai hence she controlled but the latter was smart enough to know her small changes.
Seeing his grim expression, she relaxed first and poked him, "Are you angry on me?"
Arlo didn't respond and remained silent. He wasn't angry but he didn't know what he was feeling.
"Hey! Come on. I didn't want to make brother Jai worry so I hid."
"In the end, you told him only right."
"What can I do if he is smart? If he didn't identify, do I have anybody else here other than you to tell?"
"Who knows!"
"Arlo!" Sky counted internally, "Three times you saw m..., No no. When we first met, I was crying. Then three times in Nation N, here again. I don't want to look like a crybaby."
"But at last you cried. How does that matter?"
"That's because you almost broke my ankle."
"Why will I break your ankle? Can you make some sense?"
"Then who else does that?"
.
.
Their bantering continued for more than ten minutes and Thomson shouted.
"Can you guys stop fighting like kids?" For god sake, one was President and CEO of Sigma and the other one was President and CEO of Harley.
Both looked at each other and turned towards the window.
The car was in pin-drop silence for about three-four minutes then Sky stomach growled and she saw KFC from the traffic signal.
"I'm hungry! I want to eat fried..."
"No Junk." Arlo grunted.
"Arlo! You are too much. I'm hungry."
"Can't you stop thinking about food for some time?"
"What if I'm hurt. Shouldn't I eat when I'm hurt?"
"We are not stopping the car anywhere till the hospital."
"Then why didn't you tell him jump signal? Isn't the car stopped now?"
"Why? don't you want to fly this car?"
"Aren't you super-intelligent? You fly it in the air."
.
.
"Guys, Shut up. Shut up. If you two start again, I will throw you out of the car." Thomson started to get a headache.
" SHUT. UP. " Sky and Arlo said in unison to Thomson.
