Chapter 428 - letting them off hook

Both remained silent until they reached Sigma hospital. Sky searched for left leg shoes and remembered she didn't take it and Arlo's side was empty.

She took a few deep breaths and to calm herself but Arlo opened the door and said, "Get down!"

"Why? Don't you want me to fly wearing one shoe?" Sky said and was removing other boot.

Thomson burst into laughter hearing her. Arlo bent down carried her in a swift move.

Sky slipped the shoes on the floor and scoffed, "One day I will die from heart attack because of you." She almost thought she bumped her head when he carried her out.

"Let me down, I will walk." Sky didn't dare to struggle in his arms thinking he would throw her down.

"Wheelchair or I will carry. You choose." Arlo said but he didn't stop at the wheelchair.

Sky hated wheelchair the most so remained mum. Thomson just followed them chuckling behind them.

First, they scanned her feet. Sky thought they have to wait for the report but the Doctor came there and analyzed. She said there was no problem with her ankle and swelling would be there for some time so he asked them to use cold compression and elastic bandage.

Sky called Jai and made him listen to the doctor first and she spoke. "Brother Jai! Can you please relax now? If you worry more, you will age soon. Then your girlfriend will run away."

"Girlfriend? My little sister, are you teasing me?"

"Brother Jai! When I have told you I can't tease you? That only applies to Loran." Sky grinned.

After making sure Jai's mood was relaxed, Sky hung up the call.

Arlo carried her up again scaring her. She patted on her chest and asked. "Why do you want me to die so badly?"

He didn't answer, Instead Thomson spoke, "Sky! why are you so close to your brother?"

Sky rolled her eyes, "Because he is my brother. Why does your brain work only for academics?"

Sky really wanted to check how his brain structured. He asked many tricky questions when she was explaining her methodology but now he was asking such a question.

Wait! My brain must be weird than him.

"Never mind, Nerve structure in my brain is uncanny than yours. So you are considered normal."

Thomson was speechless. Who says that about themselves?

"Indeed"

The trio again sat in the car. But Arlo and Sky were snatching ice pack from each other hands for cold compress on her ankle.

Thomson really doubted whether those were the same persons who he spoke till five in the afternoon. He wanted to comment but he knew they would attack him hence he remained quite.

"You win! I'm tired now." Sky gave up and leaned back.

Since it was cold and the car temperature was perfectly set. She was also tired mentally and physically so dozed off before they could reach the restaurant.

When they reached, Arlo tried to wake her up, She turned aside and slept, "I want to sleep."

"You can sleep after dinner." Arlo's voice was back to gentle.

"Let me sleep." Sky didn't budge.

Arlo rubbed his temples and tried again, "Eat and sleep! If you are not getting up, I will carry you out again."

Sky sat up and rubbed her eyes, "Didn't you say no food? Why are you asking me now? I don't want to eat anymore."

Sky reluctantly opened door to get down but she furrowed her brows realizing she wasn't wearing shoes. She got down and stood on her right leg toes before Arlo sweeping her off the floor.

"Arlo! Didn't you say I can walk if I alight." Sky wanted to weep but tears failed her.

"But you aren't wearing shoes." Arlo said nonchalantly. it was just to make her get off from the car.

After entering the private room, both realized there were four more sitting on the chairs. Sky badly wanted to dig a hole to hide in.

Arlo gritted his teeth and made her sit. All five teased them to no end before letting them off-hook.

After reaching their apartment, Sky sighed and looked at Arlo who was sulking.

"Companion error? I have been a bad influence on you right?" Sky burst into laughter remembering what his friends told.

He was a person who preferred silence. He could shut the mouth of the opponent just by his cold glare than opening his mouth. He would live like a king and ignore every other being around them.

According to his seniors, It was Arlo's first time bantering and talking so much. She was lucky that he still remained calm and helped her instead of throwing under the bus.

"Undeniably!" Arlo said the matter of fact but he wasn't disappointed because of it. He knew he was only like that with her so he would never mind.

Sky snorted, "Fine! Scram."

Sky turned away from him and switched on the television. She had lost sleep after hearing those seniors teasing her saying 'CEO is childlike' .

'Am I not a normal girl? Why do I have to be serious all the time? Poor me.'

Arlo went to his room leaving her alone in the living room. After playing with a few channels, she went to her room and took a bath before going back to watch television. A cartoon channel picked her attention and started watching it. After hearing it for a long time, Arlo came out and saw, Sky laughing watching a cartoon channel.

Seeing her wrapping in a duvet, he went to the kitchen to get her warm milk. Sky noticed him but ignored.

He gave her a cup and was about to sit with her, Sky stopped, "What are you doing? Go back to your room."

Arlo ignored and sat off. Sky pouted, "Hey! Didn't you tell I'm a bad influence? Why are you sitting here?"

Arlo didn't know what to tell her. He understood why people say it was difficult to understand girls.

"Ms.Sky! Why is it difficult to understand a girl?" Arlo knew questioning her would divert her mind from trivial things.

Sky turned to him, "Why do you want to understand girls?"

Arlo wanted to bite his tongue for asking what came to his mind.
