Chapter 455 - Marry me(4)

And it was Olivia who treated her very well as her own granddaughter so she wanted to reach soon to know what was going on.

Sky glanced at Arlo who was staring blankly at the air. She patted on his shoulder, "Don't worry. She will be alright."

He came out of the daze and saw the car's high speed. He kept her hand back on steering. "Careful!"

He was shocked to see her speed but it was just for a few seconds before it replaced with worry.

Sky didn't speak anything and reached the sigma hospital ASAP. Sky stopped at the entrance for Arlo to alight before going to park the car.

When Sky went to the reception, A doctor who treated her recognized her and escorted her to the third floor. She had called Andy thinking he would be of some help. But seeing many doctors going in and out, she felt Andy wasn't necessary.

She went towards Arlo where doctors were saying something. "... Stabilize. She will wake up in half an hour. The specialist will be coming tomorrow morning and we will operate in the morning at ten."

Doctors waited for a few seconds for any queries but they didn't stay long as Arlo's expression was very scary.

Sky went to him and saw that he was frighteningly calm. She couldn't make out anything. He was so cold that she didn't dare to make any sound.

Seeing him staring blankly in the air for a long time, Sky lightly pushed him towards a chair, "Sit!"

Arlo shifted his eyes on her. As soon as their eyes met, Sky retracted her hands in a flash. Holding on to his rationality, he made her sit first and sat down.

Sky wanted to ask what happened and reason for operation but she remained silent not daring to ask him for a long time. She wasn't sure whether she was scared of him or nervous to know about Olivia.

She wanted to ask the doctor but the corridor was deserted except few guards standing here and there. She clenched her jacket hem tight and looked at Arlo who was looking down. She gulped her saliva and asked in a low voice, "What happened to grandmother?"

Arlo knew she got scared when she looked at his state but he didn't expect her to be so frightened by him that her voice became shaky.

He rubbed his temples as he breathed through his mouth to calm himself. Sky regretted asking after looking at him.

She knew the family member he had was his grandmother excluding Ryan. Having everybody with her, she wouldn't even dare to imagine one admitting in hospital. But he had only one and she was hospitalized.

Sky thought to sit far so that she won't disturb him too much with her questions but Arlo held her hand which was clutching her jacket.

She looked at him warily. He didn't look cold anymore. He was worried and he spoke to her calmly, "Don't worry, Grandmother will be alright... Don't be scared."

Her heart which was beating rapidly slowed down a little after hearing, Sky hummed in response.

Seeing her not scared of him anymore and the fist tightness under his palm loosen up, he sighed inwardly.

He didn't know whether he was comforting himself or her by holding her hand but he didn't leave her hand. Sky wanted to console him but she didn't know what to say hence she stayed quiet letting him hold her hand.

They didn't talk for a very long time. They only reacted when Doctor approached them, "President! Old madam is awake."

As soon as Arlo heard him, he dashed inside ICU holding Sky's hand. She heard the doctor saying President since she had stayed in the hospital and many doctors checked on her, she didn't think much about it.

She followed Arlo inside and saw Olivia weakly smiling at them. She had met her just a week back. That time she looked very energetic despite her age. Now she looked too fragile and pale.

Olivia misunderstood seeing them holding hands as they entered inside. She wanted to say something but Arlo spoke after releasing Sky's hand and holding Olivia's hand.

"Grandmother, Are you trying to scare us? From when did you have chest pain? Why didn't you tell any of us? Are you a child? Do I have to tell you everything? Why don't you listen to us?..."

When Arlo continued to nag his grandmother like a child, Sky noticed Olivia was helplessly smiling but her lips open and close due to dryness of her mouth. After seeing water on the other side of the bed, Sky poured some to glass and helped her to drink.

Arlo paused and looked at both. After Olivia drank enough water. She smiled at both who were good at hiding their emotions.

"You two are looking paler than me. Nothing happened to me. Am I not talking with you?" Olivia tried to be cheerful but her voice was ailing.

Both managed to give a faint smile and Sky spoke, "Yes! Nothing will happen to grandmother."

Sky only heard chest pain, variation in sugar level and other few medical-related terms when Arlo was chivvying. She understood the problem was related to the heart.

They spoke for some time only to make the other feel better. A doctor came and asked them to let Olivia rest. Sky stood up and wanted to help her lay back on the bed but Olivia held Sky's and Arlo's hand.

"Don't worry grandmother, you will be alright!" Sky said as she patted on Olivia's hand.

Olivia shook her head, "I already know the operation isn't major and the success rate is very high. But I'm already old, who knows what will happen..."

"Grandmother!" Arlo's displeased voice sounded.

Olivia slapped his hands and held again, "Let me talk! I'm not being pessimistic. Can we really control life? Child!..." Olivia turned to Sky who nodded to indicate she was listening.

"He may show everyone as a strong-headed and wilful person. He may not show us how he feels but he isn't as strong as he thinks. I know you are a smart child, you will understand him better than me as time passes. You punish him for his every single mistake but never leave him.."

Arlo tried to interrupt, Olivia shot him a glance and continued. Sky didn't know why she was telling all that but she listened carefully.

"...It's just pity that I don't know whether I will be able to see your kids play around. Hahahaha, Look at me talking about kids. I don't even know whether I will be able to see you two getting married and live happily. Probably this wish of mine is mindless. Don't worry about me, you two choose how it's best for you."
