Chapter 456 - Marry me(5)

Sky didn't know how to react. She knew Olivia liked her very much but whatever she said confused her. She tried to process it.

'Never leave him? As secretary?'

'Your Kids? My kids and his kids? or our kids?'

'You two getting married? he getting married and I getting married? or WE getting married to each other?'

Sky felt like her head spinning. She wanted to ask what she actually meant. Whether she was thinking too much and misunderstanding but she didn't get a chance to ask as Arlo pulled her out of the ICU.

When Olivia almost finished, the doctor requested for them to leave. Arlo helplessly looked at Olivia and Sky. The latter was dazed looking at Olivia. He tried to call her out but she didn't react.

Hence he went to her, held her hand and walked out. Sky ran behind him not knowing what was going on. Arlo left her hand after entering the room next to ICU.

Sky's head started throbbing without understanding anything and looked at Arlo who looked inscrutable.

She felt like she needed some fresh air and moved towards the window but Arlo held her shoulder and blurted, "Marry me. Tomorrow at nine in H street marriage bureau."

Sky was bewildered, "You!... Have you lost your mind?"

Sky held her head to make herself think properly, "Look! I know you are distressed about Grandmother. You should rest first!"

Instead of going towards the window, she started to walk towards door thinking to be rational and he was emotionally affected.

After hearing his grandmother's wish and her wish to see him married to Sky, Arlo decided to marry her. But seeing her leave putting it on his anxiety, he was vexed.

He stopped her again and turned her to face him. "Sky! I'm serious. Didn't you hear grandmother's wish?"

Sky flung his hand and tried hard to be calm, "I heard it! That doesn't mean you have to marry me. And how can you marry me when you like somebody else?"

"Sky! I made it simple and clear. Marry me. Is it so difficult to understand?" His voice didn't carry any emotions.

Sky felt like her head would explode any movement. "Arlo! You should get checked yourself first."

Sky turned around to leave but Arlo's grip on her hand tightened and pulled her back. Sky tried to fling his hand but she couldn't.

"Don't you have Ray? Why are you asking me? Let me go." Sky rotated her wrist to break free from his grip but to no avail.

"Can't you stop blabbering? You think I can marry him. Can you make some sense before saying?"

Arlo didn't understand what Sky actually meant. Sky paused in her actions and looked at him.

'Yes! Right! Homosexual marriage isn't legal in our country.' Sky thought and started to laugh.

Arlo brows furrowed higher seeing her laugh at the serious talk.

"Who are you? Why the hell do you think I will marry you just because you said so? Go and search for another scapegoat. Let me go."

Sky was on the verge of crying but she tried her best not to show it and clenched her teeth. She struggled to break free from him.

Arlo grip tightened more thinking she would leave him as soon as he leaves her hand. He pulled her closer and asked in an annoyed tone. "WHO AM I? Why didn't you ask me who am I when I was helping you in studies? Why didn't you ask me who am I when I cooked for you daily? Why didn't you ask me who am I whenever I helped you? Why didn't you ask me who am I when I saved you? Now I'm asking for something, are you trying to back out asking Who Am I?"

Sky stopped struggling and bit her lips. She looked at him without saying anything she still couldn't read anything from his face. She always knew there was nothing like free meals and she had free meals for long that payback became very huge.

Seeing her not reacting for a long time, he continued, "At least do you remember you said 'you will do as I say if it's reasonable' at Ethan Jeff's birthday? Do you think my grandmother's wish is reasonable? Or are you thinking it's unreasonable because the one laying on bed is my grandmother, not your family mem..."

'Pak'

Sky slapped him as hard as she could. She never dared to imagine anyone from her family to hospitalized. And he was saying that comparing the current situation.

Arlo closed his mouth instantly. Due to her slap, he got cut and he tasted blood. Seeing her tremble, he tried to hold her with the other hand but she slapped his hand.

"Fine! You want to get a marriage certificate right! Fine, I will come and sign tomorrow. Now! Get the hell out of here... Scram!" By the end, she shouted on top of her lungs.

Arlo retracted his hands instantly but he wasn't happy even when she agreed to marry him. He knew he was making a mistake but he didn't have time to sit and coax her or he didn't have a mood to propose when his grandmother was in serious condition.

He thought to rinse his mouth first and try to talk her out and left the room. Sky heard the door opening and closing back. She tried to take deep breaths to relax but tears started rolling on her cheeks.

She yanked her hair and screamed. Since she was in the VIP ward of Sigma, it was soundproof and no sound could be heard outside.

"Not everybody you meet is good. When will you learn it?" Sky said to herself and threw the glass vase on the floor.

"Now Pay for your deeds." Sky threw the remote on the television.

"You were stupid and you will always be stupid." The night lamp hit on the ground.

She continued to smash everything as she mocked herself. Her head started to buzz as the sounds of breaking going on. She took a bedside stool and threw it on the glass wall between the sitting and patient areas.

She lost her footing after throwing and stumbled front. Glass breaking sounds increased her uncomfortability. She closed her eyes and held her head.

To balance herself she stretched her left hand to hold something but it touched the broken glass wall. Blood started flowing as soon as her left-hand little finger got cut.
