Chapter 458 - She used to be dull

"I'm sorry I couldn't come in so many months. I met with an accident after recovery I had taken studies with work so I was very busy. Am I not here now? Are you going to complain to me more or give me something to eat? I'm famished."

Sky acted like a spoiled little girl making Mr.Reed laugh. "Kid! I will make your favorite, Double chicken noodles soup."

Ivy looked Sky top to toe and asked, "Sister Sky! How are you now? Was your accident soo bad? Were you hurt badly?" Ivy asked with concern.

"I'm fine Ivy. Don't worry about me. Let's sit!"

Sky took the nearest table and sat with Ivy. She saw Andy looking at her. Sky pointed a chair opposite her indicating him to sit.

"What do you want to eat?" Sky asked Andy and he chose one randomly looking at her and another girl talk.

Ivy informed her father and sat with Sky. "So How are your studies going on?"

"Sister Sky, It's good. I got selected for an internship in the capital. I will be staying in the capital city's girl's hostel for six months then Job."

"Well done!" Sky patted on her shoulders. Ivy smiled and went inside after hearing her father call. She came out with two bowls and placed them in front of them.

"Thank you Ivy" Sky thanked and dug in. It had been more than nine months since she went to that shop and their chicken noodle soup tasted the same.

"Your Dad is best at cooking chicken noddles." Sky told to Ivy.

"Sister Sky! You cook the chicken noodles better than Dad but why do you like Dad's noddles?"

Sky took one more mouthful and ate before answering. "Because your Dad taught me to make it and this is authentic taste."

Mr.Reed came out with a salad plate and sat with them. Sky looked at other customers, "Uncle! are you going to leave them?"

He gave a displeased look, "Can't I even see you enjoying my noodles soup?"

Sky chuckled. "I'm not running away! and I will try to come often. Don't worry."

He stood and left with a displeased look making Sky and Ivy burst into laughter. Ivy and Sky spoke as latter ate. Andy silently ate listening to them.

After eating, Sky went inside to use the restroom. Andy spoke to Mr.Reed.

"Mr.Reed! How do you guys know Ms.Sky?" Andy asked. Mr.Reed paused and scrutinized Andy before asking, "You are?"

"Ms.Sky's friend." Andy replied.

"Sky! That kid used to come here most of the Sundays or holidays from the past two years except for the past nine months."

"Why?" Andy asked without letting him go.

Mr.Reed sighed, "She used to be dull in her many visits. Whenever she used to come here, she always ate here. Once she said, capital to her house, this was the highway. Since she couldn't go to her home frequently and worry her brothers and parents, she was coming here which was halfway to her house. She used to eat here, trek and go back."

"Later on she started to become lively and was visiting here for us." Mr.Reed smiled after finishing.

Andy understood behind the story probably Mr.Reed didn't know about.

When she joined Harley, she was missing the Barton family. She must have wanted to go Town A but not to make them worry, she was stopping by here. When she got control over Harley and moved on, she was back to lively.

Andy nodded at him as a response. He thought he was the reason for everything. His heart started to tug thinking about it.

Sky who came out asked Reed, "What are you guys talking without me?"

He turned around and rubbed her head dotingly, "Your friend was asking about your visit here."

Sky frowned hearing ' friend ' looked at Andy and spoke to Reed, "Uncle Reed! I am going for a short trek. I have informed Ivy. See you."

Sky left the shop after telling him. Andy followed her but stopped, "Ms.Sky, I will pay and come. Please wait."

Sky wanted to stop him but he ran off. Sky sat on the nearest bench to wait for him. Andy who went back to the shop stretched his hand to give money.

Ivy declined, "Mister. Probably you don't know this shop is present because of Sister Sky."

Andy was confused. "What?"

Ivy furrowed her brows and explained, "We had to close down the shop due to loans which my Dad had taken. That time Sister Sky paid all the loans and returned the shop to us. Even if we serve her all our life, we may not be able to repay her kindness."

Andy took the time to analyze. 'So the shop is in Sky's name that is the reason she visiting them. Businesswoman!'

"Is this shop under Ms.Sky?" Andy asked for confirming. Ivy shook her head, "She helped us without anything in return."

Her father heard her and came to them, "We insisted on returning the money but she asked to help others who may need our help and that will be the repayment to her. But we convinced her not to pay whenever she eats here. You said you are her friend but you don't know anything about her. Are you really a friend?"

Even though he just questioned, it sounded like mock to Andy. "Please take for my noodles."

"Mister! You came with Sister Sky so we will not take from you either. If nothing, we will go back to work." Ivy said in an annoyed tone and left.

Andy nodded at Mr.Reed and left the shop. After seeing him coming, She started her trek. Andy quietly followed her. Since it was already afternoon four, Sky stopped midway and sat down watching Carlton lake.

Andy sat behind her and saw her line of sight. It was Carlton Lake. He could only see triangular houses behind the lake. Other treehouses were difficult to see in between trees.

Andy looked back at Sky who was expressionless. After contemplating for a while he asked the same question to her.

"Miss. Sky, why do you come here often? What is so special about this place?"
