Sky had kept her hands on ears and kept on repeating, "I don't want to listen to you. I don't want to talk to you"
She went down, circled the living room, dining table then again living room and went upstairs. Instead of holding her forcefully, both followed her trying best to coax saying she was important than others.
Arlo saw the spoiled child in Sky and was amused. He saw Barton parents and David laughing seeing them instead of getting angry or annoyed.
Seeing Arlo who was tracing their way, David patted on his hands. "Don't worry! In five minutes, Loran or Jai will bring her here. And she will be puffed up into a red apple."
Arlo nodded and answered whenever they were asking him anything. One thing he got know was Sky always praised his cooking skills to the Barton parents and David.
Sky who went to her room and was about to close the door both barged in and made her sit. Whenever she tried to get up they would pull her back. "Sky!"
"Brother Jai, Why are you here? Go and talk to Arlo. Go. Didn't you make all the plans without asking me, then why are you here? Didn't you want to meet him? and Didn't mom and dad wanted to meet him? Go! everyone go and sit with him and talk....." Sky repeated the same thing in different forms.
When she became quiet, Jai got up and said, "Okay, We will go and sit with Arlo."
Sky snorted, "See! You said it. You should have told me, I would have stayed there and sent only him. Hmph."
Jai hummed and carried her up, "I said we will go. When did I say I will go."
"Brother Jai, let me down. I don't want to go there. Leave me here...." Her struggles or words were no use on Jai. Loran followed them laughing his heart out.
Seeing, he already took her to the living room, She pouted in displeasure. Jai made her sit. She flipped off by jumping backside of the sofa but she was caught in three seconds and both brothers held her down.
When the trio was laughing, Arlo couldn't help but laugh looking at the flared up kitten. She looked cute and adorable. All tried talk to her.
"Princess..."
"I'm not talking with you mom."
"Sky"
"I'm not talking with you too Dad."
"Lass! why..."
"Dad! You don't even speak. If you continue threatening me with Brother Jai's name, I will... I will... I will stay alone in the apartment. Hmph."
Jai chuckled and flicked on her head, "Brother Jai! That hurts."
Sky saw Jai and Loran stretching their fingers and bursting nitrogens between joints. Knowing what they will do, Sky again tried to run again but she was pulled back and rain of tickles made her laugh and roll around.
Between her laughter she was trying to speak which didn't really make sense, "Brot.. ai... Can.. this... me....an...st..."
Sky finally managed to squeeze out a few words, "Okay okay, I'm tired, I'm tired."
She sat back and breathed a sigh of relief as the other two corrected her messed up hair. She punched both once on their stomach and relaxed.
This scene wasn't new to the Barton parents or David. Arlo was way beyond surprised.
They weren't kids or teenagers. They were in the twenties and they had their childlike nature and pampered, spoiled Sky very much. But she was behaving like spoiled only with the Barton family and David.
He didn't know how his and Sky's relationship would be. But he wished those three to be the same till their old age.
After relaxing, Sky spoke to everyone as they teased, made fun of others and laughed. It was like she wasn't the one who was angry a few minutes back.
After checking the time, Jai asked everyone to go to their room. But the spoiled kid remained seated, "Wow! Didn't you bring me here? Brother Jai, who will take me back?"
Arlo thought Jai would carry her but Loran and Jai looked at each other before one holding her legs and another one her arms and swung her as they took her upstairs.
Sky whined all the way saying she would fall down. Arlo felt like he was watching some kids' channel. Jai had told to Arlo to follow him for her room so he followed behind them.
They left her in her room and she sighed. Seeing Arlo leaning on the door frame stuffing his hands in pockets, Sky spoke, "Brother Jai, My room is... ... ... very spacious. I will see you later."
Seeing Jai raise his brows, she changed her sentence and dashed into the bathroom pulling out pajamas from the wardrobe.
Jai and Loran chuckled and exited the room leaving Arlo inside. The latter looked around in the room, It looked exactly opposite to her room in Harley mansion. This room looked more girly with white and peach shades.
There were tiny fairy lights on dream catcher which caught his attention. After seeing carefully, he realized it was handmade as fairly lights were twinned with thread beautifully. He saw her solo picture frames and few with her brothers.
One side of the wall was a glass sliding door that was giving a good view of the night sky. There were many succulent plants of different shapes and colors.
He heard shower water sound and furrowed. Even though Barton's mansion was big, it wasn't as huge as the Harley mansion. There they had a dressing room followed by the washroom and he had noticed it was soundproof. But here it wasn't.
The problem was not the size of the mansion or soundproof rooms. The problem was his mind wandering hearing the sound of water. To distract himself he went near her study desk and checked. A blue book caught his attention.
He flipped through pages casually. They usually had few lines about the happiness of outing, playing, places, games etcetera. But he froze when he read two lines of one page. Before continuing to read complete, he checked other pages but it was last written on it.
He started reading it. He read, again and again, many more times. He didn't know why she had written it. But it was written when she was sad where the rest of the pages had happier once.
Was it because of an ex-boyfriend? ex-lover? or... Andy?
He was reading it again, Sky who exited asked in a cold tone, "Why are you reading my diary?"
Arlo looked at her and asked instead of thinking too much, "Why is your last one is Sad? For whom did you cry?"
