Both didn't talk. Arlo looked around as he jogged. He noticed her pace didn't change until she stopped after three miles of the jog. She sat down looking at plants nursery.
Arlo sat down next to her and saw her line of sight. He wanted to ask something which he already knew but he wanted to ask to know whether she would tell truth or ignore him or lie him.
"Sky!" He heard her hum and asked, "You like greenery, right?" She hummed again.
After giving a break for a few seconds, he asked, "Do you have a license to grow special succulent plants?"
Sky moved her gaze to him by hearing such a question out of nowhere. He saw her gaze which was intense. He understood why Ryan always panicked from her silence when she looked at him in the eye.
He kept his cool and tried to reason, "I saw many types of rare succulent in your room so asked."
Sky changed her line of sight back to the nursery. "That's mine... And yes! I have a license."
She used to get different scholarships and fellowships. Which she had saved up for many years and brought a small piece of land when she was just twenty-one. When she visited City O, she liked succulent so much that, she learned about it, took a license for reproduction of rare succulent spices.
Initially, she managed the nursery but it started to consume more time. Then she hired a few as part-timers and trained them to let them grow and sell. That was her first business which she started just because she loved succulent plants.
But it was only known by Jai and Loran. Even Andy didn't know about it as he thought she was time passing since she always learned random things.
When Arlo investigated Sky Barton, he knew she had a nursery that grew succulents. After seeing those plants hanging in the balcony and few on her desk, he had searched about it and got to know she had rare types too.
But Arlo didn't know the nursery they were seeing was Sky's nursery. Arlo turned to her, "Yours mean? Your brothers?"
Sky glanced at him and told how she came up with that. "... Now, Loran pays visits weekly once or fifteen days once. I don't know whether Dad knows about this. Only my brothers and parents know it. Now you know about it."
Arlo was happy that she didn't lie or ignore.
Sky paused and looked at him, "You know about me? I mean do you know I grew up as Barton without knowing I was Harley?"
Arlo nodded. Sky chuckled to herself, "Didn't you feel its really absurd?"
Arlo shook his head and said seriously. "You were born a princess. You grew up like a warrior. You are a queen of your life."
Sky chortled, "Are you flattering me? Yes! I grew up like a princess. What if I wasn't President? Would you still call me a princess?"
Sky stood up and went towards the nursery. Arlo followed her, "If you could manage this when you weren't even graduated, you would have had different multiple such businesses by now if you weren't President of Harley."
Sky chuckled again, she climbed the gate and jumped over beautifully. Arlo looked at her controlling his smile, he too followed the suit.
'Shouldn't girls act weak asking for help?'
Sky asked as she went behind the nursery. "Why are you flattering me so much? Are you buttering me up for something?"
Arlo's lips twitched. "I stated the fact."
Sky ignored and sat down putting her hand inside the grass. Arlo furrowed his brows and pulled her hand out and saw she had keys of the nursery.
He didn't know whether to cry or laugh. 'Who hides it like that?'
Sky stood up and went front and opened the door. After giving him a tour inside, he picked one Rebutia Muscula (Orange snowball) and asked, "Shall I keep this?"
Sky nodded, "Sure!" She went near a desk and wrote a note and left the nursery after locking it.
They returned to the Barton mansion. Arlo was getting fresh when Sky cleaned his pot and added white pebbles on soil making it look good to keep on desk or indoor.
She took Loran's new year gift and arranged it. Then she got fresh and went down for breakfast with Arlo.
Before breakfast, with the trio, Arlo also got three red pockets. Even though he was happy receiving it, it didn't show on his face. He always thought only Olivia was elder to him and gives a red pocket. Due to Sky, three more added on.
Sky and Loran stood in front of Jai asking their gifts. "I'm bankrupt. I don't have anything."
Seeing two glaring at him, "It's in my room on the bed."
Both ran up to his room. Arlo was surprised to see them run so excitedly. They returned after five minutes. Both were in a different dress. Jai's sweatshirt matched with those two and they were clinging to Jai.
Then Loran asked Sky extending hand, Sky shook his hand and smiled, "Bankrupt!"
"Sister Sky, Worst excuse."
Sky shook her head and said, "It's in my Wardrobe."
Arlo had seen that box. Loran returned with a big gift-wrapped box. He opened box after box after a box in front of all in frustration but in the end, there was candy in the smallest box. All were rolling on the couch looking at his expression.
Loran chased around Sky for a long time. She stopped and handed him silver and diamond-studded charm which had a bike symbol.
"Wow, Sister Sky, This is..." Before he could finish, Sky handed him another charm... One after the other Sky gave him fifteen charms that were designed by her and could be used on any type of dress.
Loran always liked whatever Sky made so he was on a cloud nine. "Sister Sky! You are so cool!"
Holding all charms in hand, his eyes were sparkling. Others were tired of hearing him praise and waited for them to finish so that they could have breakfast.
"Sister Sky, why did you prank me then?" Loran asked eyeing her.
Sky snorted, "You saw wrapped up box and brought down to prank on yourself."
Jai laughed at him, "Dumbo!"
