Chapter 517 - Why are you coaxing me?

Arlo didn't give her time to react. "I don't need any choice other than YOU ."

He kissed her gently and it intensified when Sky started to respond to his kiss which she didn't do in the afternoon. He knew she wasn't ready to do anything, so he didn't consider do anything other than indulging in their passionate movement...

When they broke their kiss, both were breathing heavily as Arlo laid on her not leaving much weight and caught the breath before kissing on her forehead.

"Do you know you are very special?" Arlo asked as he caressed her lips which were plump and red due to kiss.

Sky looked at his black-eyes which had only her. She smiled and raised her brows asking why she was special.

"Because you got me as your husband." He joked before bringing her back to the pillow side.

The smile faded on her face, "Narcissistic"

After laying on the bed and covering in the duvet, Sky asked gingerly, "So she was your first love?"

Arlo shook his head. Sky continued, "Second love?" He kept shooking his head as he caressed her head. "so it's third love?... Okay, fourth?... Holy! is it fifth love?"

Arlo cut her off knowing she would continue to build his number of lovers, "You are my first love and last too."

Sky started chuckling after hearing him. Arlo realized what he said and pinched her cheeks, 'I got a crazy wife.'

"Congratulations Secretary Arlo on successfully confessing about your love to President Harley." Sky teased seeing his face turn red under dim light.

"If..." Sky closed his mouth and pecked on his cheek, "I'm sleeping, I'm sleeping. I'm sleeping."

The following days, Sky got very busy with spring collection release in both the countries and a charity banquet in two weeks.

The first week, they planned out everything and sent out an invitation after booking the Legacy terrace for the event.

In the Second week, Sky had to visit the Harley orphanage multiple times as they had a few performances.

Sky successfully convinced Sam to play piano live for the kids to dance for it. They booked singers and performers for entertaining the guests.

David gave a few antiques for auctioning and Andy received some mails where few affluent business families were ready to auction their ornaments, paintings and other things for fundraising.

Sky had put up the details on them on the charity website and the significance of it which may raise interest for anybody to bid in the auction.

Harley orphanage was the biggest orphanage in country A. Sky managed to send the invitation to a few of the members who grew up in the orphanage who could talk about the orphanage.

Since Harley holds charity once three years, they invited most of the affluent family, prominent people. Whoever was not invited and were interested to attend requested the invitation after knowing about the banquet.

For Milton's family and Milton Empire, Arlo diverted the invitation to Joe and his grandfather instead of Arthur.

There were nearly three hundred guests but expected were only two hundred but they arranged for three-plus hundred if in case required.

David would be leading the banquet, Olivia declined to attend and opt to rest at the home. Ryan had to attend the event as Ryan Wilson hence he declined Sky with work as the reason. Sky didn't want Jai and Loran to bother about the event.

Arlo didn't want Sky to present in the event but all laughed and ignored hearing it as a joke. Sky noticed his face darken and leaving from the living hall.

Sky reported a few more things to David before pulling her tired body to the room.

She tried to talk sense with Arlo but latter ignored her by saying, "Since you already attending, why are you coaxing me? It's late! Take bath and sleep."

Sky pulled his cheeks, "Nobody will believe me if I say, you do throw tantrums like a child."

Arlo ignored her. Sky pecked on his forehead before going to take bath. When she returned inside, Arlo was sleeping but facing towards the edge of the bed.

Sky pinched herself twice to confirm she wasn't dreaming and climbed on the bed. "Arlo!" She tried to make him sleep on his back but he didn't move a bit.

"Okay, I will stay in the room during banquet if you give me one proper reason." Sky tried to negotiate.

She didn't see any movement from him. She sighed and got down from bed before circling bed towards him. She easily snuggled into his arms and slept.

Arlo was stunned.

He didn't want her to attend because many families wanted to see how Sky Harley looked like and if she walking around with name Sky, it would raise suspicions. But that was not his main reason, he didn't want so many heirs to check on his dumb pretty wife.

He knew she would laugh at him hence he remained silent. When he sensed her getting down, he thought she gave up so easily until she slid herself between his arms. He was content that she didn't ignore him. She was soon asleep as her breath became long and steady.

He knew she was tired hence he wrapped his hands around her and slept off. It had become their habit to sleep like that for nearly a month.

Charity banquet day

As usual, after workout both were getting ready. Sky leaned back on him and asked looking at him in the mirror, "Why don't you want me to attend?"

Arlo hugged her before responding elegantly, "Because I don't want anybody to see my wife."

"Oh!" Sky turned to face him in his embrace and covered him with her jacket, "Then, should I lock you up in the home? You are the one who gets lots of attention."

Arlo removed her jacket and groomed his hair before replying, "They are just paper flies. Who you attract are a real deal."

"You mean President Lan?" Sky controlled her laughter but was shocked to hear Harry, few more small company heirs who sent her bouquets who she didn't even know how they looked and their names were alien to her.

"Why are you insecure?" Sky asked directly.

Arlo didn't reply, Sky continued as she led him out, "When I see your soo many admirers, Do you know why I smile instead of getting jealous?"
