Chapter 541 - Help yourself

Ryan who woke up early gritted his teeth by the sight. 'Handsome Demon, how can you hug her and sleep even after getting slapped? And Crazy girl! Did you forget this is a hospital and I was sleeping on the couch?'

Controlling his urge to pour a bucket full of water on them, he left with a dark face. He instructed two guards at the door not to let anybody inside, not even doctors until Sky open the door.

They followed as instructed and stopped all nurses and doctors. Sky woke up by a call and hit on her forehead realizing how they were sleeping. She had moved closer and Arlo was hugging her in sleep.

Sky checked her mobile and shot up. She looked at Arlo who was still sleeping.

'No doubt I slept so long in his arms. Addiction kills. Addiction kills...' Sky repeated in her head.

She called back Andy and instructed him before hanging up the call. She went out of the ward and saw David and Olivia talking with each other sitting outside as Ryan was sulking.

She wanted to ask, 'why are you guys outside?' but gave up as she realized the reason.

'Wait! Shouldn't Grandmother and Dad be worried about Arlo? Why are they so calm?' Sky was thinking when she heard David call, "Lass!"

"Dad! He..." Sky turned and saw Arlo trying to lean on the headrest. "He is awake."

She said and went inside to help him. With a straight face, she helped him and turned to David, "Dad! Did you bring my clothes?"

After collecting her clothes, Sky went to another room asking Ryan to help him to the bathroom. Sky and Arlo had to eat under three gazes who already had their breakfast.

Seeing Sky started working on a laptop sitting on the couch, David chided her, "Lass! Is work so important now?"

Sky glared at Arlo before replying to David, "If your son-in-law thinks himself as a superhero and tries to fly, again and again, somebody needs to earn for paying bills."

Olivia and Ryan burst into laughter. Arlo just smiled and David was speechless. Sky had to assign a few works to Andy and Vice president hence she was using her laptop.

After finishing her work and postponing a meeting to the afternoon she closed her laptop and sat quietly. Ryan was working in another room.

While David and Olivia were talking, Sky couldn't sit and hear them so she started working on her laptop. Arlo was bored to death and he messaged her, "Can't we return to work?"

Sky kept her mobile aside after checking it. 'Dream on! Dad will kill me.'

Arlo saw her ignoring and messaged again. "I'm bored."

Sky again ignored after seeing. Arlo pinged, "Heartless"

Sky replied, "Thank you!" Then she realized she fell into his trap. Then they continued to banter over messages ignoring the other two in the room.

When Sky and Arlo didn't reply to his question, David cued Olivia to look at Sky and Arlo. One was on the couch who occasionally glared at Arlo while typing on her mobile. Another one was smiling as he replied.

Sky noticed David and Olivia when they reached the door, "Where are you two going?"

Olivia mischievously smiled glancing at them, "You two! continue."

Sky was tongue-tied, 'That smile? Grandmother when did you start thinking dirty.' Sky wanted to cry.

Sky threw her mobile and got up to leave but she heard "I want water."

Sky gritted her teeth, "Help yourself."

She heard him hum and saw him getting down. She knew he was doing it on purpose but since he was in that state because of her, she couldn't leave him and go. Upon that he was her husband.

"Keep your leg down, I will change the crack to break." Sky growled and went towards him to give him water.

He drank looking at her seething in anger. He continued to order around asking AC remote, Television remote, mobile charger, fruits etcetera. Sky didn't speak a word and did as he asked.

Arlo was out of choice as he was already got everything near him. "Okay! I don't want this, Keep this back."

Sky then again kept everything back to its places one after the other without batting an eyelid. She knew well why he was doing. He wanted to get screwed by her even if she wasn't ready to talk.

'You wish!'

After knowing she was purposefully not talking or scolding, he gave up and held her hand when he saw her leaving from his bedside. "Can't we talk?"

Sky released from his grip and crossed her hands, her cold tone resonated in the room "Do we have anything to talk about? I'm here that doesn't mean I forgave you. So what do you want to talk about? Oh! Is it about you saved me and want something in return for that?"

Sky saw him looking her with his expressionless face. She asked after hearing no response, "Speak!"

"I'm sorry!" Sky heard him apologize and left the room.

'One hundred!' Sky thought to herself and sat in a different room on the same floor looking outside.

It wasn't that she didn't want to forgive. She was scared thinking if she goes soft and if he hurt her again, she won't be able to collect herself again.

If one part of her says 'He will not hurt you', another part of her was saying her, 'What if he hurts again'. While he apologized in the beginning, he clearly said why did said and did it.

But she can't close everybody's mouth. He should know what to believe and what not. After eating her brain cells for some time. She left the room when she got a call from Andy.

After Sky's permission, the guards allowed Andy who brought Arlo's laptop and many files. After keeping them in Arlo's room, Andy gingerly asked, "Ms.Sky? What happened to him?"

"Got hurt while saving me." Sky replied and signed a few urgent files which he was taking back with him.

"Thank you! I will let you know when I will resume the work. If anything urgent, drop me a call. You can leave now." Sky handed a few files as she said.

Sky took Arlo's office laptop and gave him before she sat on another side of the bed with the rest of the files.
