Since the end of the table had circular edges, Sky sat at the curve and Ryan next to her. Towards Arlo's right, vice president of Sigma who was in mid-fifties practically glared at Sky but smiled looking at Arlo.
Once Arlo sat, everyone seated and Vice president asked respectfully, "The lady? New employee?"
Sky turned to Arlo wanting to listen to his reply, he saw her as he replied, "My Personal Secretary."
Sky sighed but she heard from the vice president. "Miss. Secretaries seatings are over there."
Sky glanced at the door, Four secretaries were sitting next to the wall. Sky turned back to VP glancing at Arlo who was ready to throw him off.
Sky was never good with the one who crosses their line. Her sharp tone sounded making the VP go green in color. "Mister. Whoever you are. Let me repeat what President Smith said. I'm his Personal secretary. Not just a random secretary. Do I have to repeat or explain?"
'Wow, VP is a dumb man. Arlo pulled me a chair, he still dares to change my seat. In your dreams.'
Without waiting for his reply, Sky opened her laptop and looked at Arlo whose eyes said, 'My wife is the best.' Sky cued him she would be working.
All heard her and looked at each other in understanding she wasn't an easy person.
But a woman glared at Sky all the time. She had seen Sky entering with Arlo holding his hand and now she saw him being a gentleman to Sky whereas he never cared to spare a glance at anyone.
Ryan knew Sky was an expert at pissing off people and good at changing their mood from good to bad and vice versa. He gave thumbs up to her and signaled to start the meeting as he checked the report just like Arlo.
Sky who was reading a digital file or typing mail or reading mails heard the about the meeting whole time. It was a trimester meeting. Each department was reporting their work.
Feeling gazes on her, Sky raised her head but she couldn't see the face of the woman as she turned towards the presentation screen. Sky glanced at the screen before glancing at VP who was stealing glances at her.
She furrowed her brows and returned to her work. Arlo who had seen Vice president's behavior spoke after stopping the presenter by raising his hand. He turned off the screen of the projector and turned to VP, "Vice President. May I know what are your views about research and development we just heard Now?"
Sky's brows twitched. The presenter was presenting about trimester's financial growth. Sky heard Vice president fluently speaking about Reseach and development.
Everyone's expression changed. Sky wanted to know how Arlo would handle it. He turned on the projector and the Financial growth graph appeared. Vice President stood up and bowed before leaving the meeting room.
'That was slick.' Sky looked at Arlo in admiration.
The Presentation again started. Arlo turned her face to her laptop with a straight face looking at the report on his other hand. Even though it was common for him to send distracted people out, he liked the adoring look on her face.
Their small interaction was caught by four including Ryan. Arlo knew how many were too much interested in Sky's presence but he didn't worry about it.
Meeting went on. Sky checked all her digital files which she would be signing later. And she was sending out emails when Ryan spoke sternly. "...Do you think we are playing here? Out. Whose assistant is he?"
It piqued Sky's interest and raised her head. After glancing at mid-thirties man, she lowered her head back.
"Since you are the one who approved the presentation, Answer me. What was the sales rate in the retail of the previous trimester?"
He was stuttering and Ryan scowled, "Speak!"
That man was terrified, Ryan banged his report on the table. The sudden loud noise jerked Sky and made her fingers pause on the keyboard.
'My Poor ears.'
Hearing no answer, she spoke, "131,384,692 in country A."
Sky had seen the graph so she answered and continued typing nonchalantly as if she wasn't the one who answered.
Arlo asked curiously, "In the world?"
"872,454....368 No! 378." Sky replied and realized he purposefully asked. 'I'm dead'
He had clearly said to do her work. By her answer, it meant she also heard and peeked at presentation. She added a few more words, "I might be wrong."
Then she peeked at Arlo whose eyes were on her. Then saw all were looking at her. Covering her mouth, she asked Ryan in low voice, "Did I tell different data?"
Ryan very lightly shook his head as Arlo stroked her hair and asked to continue the presentation. Ryan didn't ask the follow-up question as Arlo asked to continue the presentation.
Before the meeting could end, Sky closed her laptop finishing her work. Not being able to sit quietly, she took the report which was in front of Arlo.
Seeing the profits which were in hundreds to thousands of billions, Sky closed and pushed it in front of Arlo. Harley could only get tens-hundred of billions in a trimester which was rasing from previous trimesters. Just sitting and doing nothing, Arlo could earn in millions per minute.
'Oh Ho, I married All-Time money earning machine.' She thought and was laughing to herself without making a sound but Arlo poked her and pushed the report.
Sky saw his clean and crispy handwriting on it. 'What are you thinking and laughing?'
Sky remembered how they used to pass on messages during classes in school and her smile grew wide. She took the pen from his hand and wrote, 'That I married All-Time money earning machine'
Sky pushed back with the pen. Seeing him write 'Congratulations Sundae!' She covered her cheeks before it reached her.
'If you call me a food name again, I will bite you. Hmph.'
'I didn't know you are so eager to EAT me.'
I didn't mean that, Did I? Sky wept mentally.
'Who wants to eats you? You are bitter.'
'Dark chocolate you like is bitter. Seems like you don't need it anymore.'
There bantering continued. Ryan hit his forehead looking at passing the report game with messages. It wasn't only him, many saw them.
Sky had written many times to concentrate on the meeting but Arlo didn't care and continued to tease her.
